About

Laufey (pronounced l?y-v?y) is a 24-year-old, Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz songs are about young love and self-discovery. Raised between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C. with annual visits to Beijing, the Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing cello as well as piano and became hooked on the jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald after digging through her father's record collection. In 2020, while still a student at Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her debut single "Street by Street," which went on to top the Icelandic radio charts. Following the release of her 2021 Typical of Me EP, Laufey was named Best New Artist in Jazz and Blues at the Icelandic Music Awards and hosted her own show on BBC Radio 3/BBC Sounds. Her debut full-length Everything I Know About Love, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Alternative New Artist Album chart, and the lead single "Valentine" peaked at #1 on the Spotify Jazz Chart. In 2022 Laufey was the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify, with 425 million streams across all platforms.

    It was so memorable! Everyone was lovely and friendly! Laufey really brings the jazz out! 10/10 will go to her concert once again.

    The visuals and audio were spectacular, reminiscent of a fairy tale princess meets goddess. Her singing was so lovely, and her words to her relatively young audience touched hearts, ending with Letter to My 13 Year old Self. She ended with a message to find what makes yourself unique and chase after that.

    I took my little sister to see Laufey for her 17th birthday on October 19th, and WOW what a SHOW. I was in awe the whole time, it honestly felt like a grand musical, it was amazing ! Her vocals are STUNNING live and her stage presence is amazing, we truly loved the show so much. 10/10 and not to mention Suki was an amazing opener for her !!! Loved the whole thing !

    I loved every part of the show. The visuals where amazing, the music was super good (of course because it was Laufey), The preshow was great, I loved Suki Waterhouse. The ambience was also very fun.

    I have been a fan of Laufey for 4 years and finally got to see her live and it was incredible! I upgraded to floor seats and I definitely recommend it if possible! The show was amazing and I was crying the entire time. Getting back to I took station before the train left was the only stressful part of the night but everything else was amazing. I can’t wait to have her back in Toronto for the next album!

    Laufey is unbelievable live! Her voice is so smooth and pretty, even all the way up in the 300s sections. And the stage! Aesthetics all around, from soft, princess to the center stage jazz club.
