About

Laufey (pronounced l?y-v?y) is a 24-year-old, Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz songs are about young love and self-discovery. Raised between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C. with annual visits to Beijing, the Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing cello as well as piano and became hooked on the jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald after digging through her father's record collection. In 2020, while still a student at Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her debut single "Street by Street," which went on to top the Icelandic radio charts. Following the release of her 2021 Typical of Me EP, Laufey was named Best New Artist in Jazz and Blues at the Icelandic Music Awards and hosted her own show on BBC Radio 3/BBC Sounds. Her debut full-length Everything I Know About Love, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Alternative New Artist Album chart, and the lead single "Valentine" peaked at #1 on the Spotify Jazz Chart. In 2022 Laufey was the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify, with 425 million streams across all platforms.

    I was in awe of everything about Laufey’s concert. From her background sets, dancers, band and her performance was breath taking. If ticket prices don’t go up I’ll definitely see her again and again.

    I went to the Montreal show and the experience was unforgettable. The sound was great, vocals were on point and Laufey was AMAZING. I can’t reccomend attending her live show enough.

    i loved itt, only problem is that the screen was partially covered by the stage from my seat. I was sitting in front of the stage but on the back, so laufey looked rlly tiny and the screen helped, but it would usually cover her face. The concert itself was amazing I love her so much and the stage was very neat. She divided the concert in acts. My favñrite was the 2nd one: jazz. She transformed some of her songs to jazz and it was amazing!

    My daughter is the fan so as a surprise early birthday gift my sister and I took her and her sister to see her. It was both of their first time experience and the fans were all supportive of one another. It was a great experience and I’m so glad I got to share it with my girls and sister.

    Was at massey hall last time she was here. The whole production gave this concert a new vibe. Nostalgic about the last intimate concert but this one is great too. Keep evolving laufey!!!

    I was very much surprised by how well Laufey thought of everything during the concert. I came with my son not really knowing the artist well. The concert was amazing! She used the entire stage well, there were no awkward silence between songs, she spoken well to the audience, her crew was fast and almost seemless changing props on stage, her changing into outfits was planned very well . I am super impressed since she's still an upcoming artist with not z lot of experience. I think she's dedicated and if shows. She'll do very well in the future. Very artistic. To Ticketmaster: my ticket said "All Gate Access". After standing in line and almost at the door I was told that particular Gate was ONLY for floor ticket holders. Nowhere did it have any indication that's the case. Poor experience.

    My daughter loves Laufey. She is an amazing artist. The only complaint I have is the arena organization. It’s so chaotic. So many lines.

    Ironically (this never happens) I feel like the music could have been louder!!!! Obviously I was in the 300 level HOWEVER unfortunately the music and sound wasn't loud enough to drown out the girl singing badly beside me and that the experience less enjoyable despite Laufey being flawless!
