Great!

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.
It was a great play overall. Maybe it was just for me but the words to the songs weren't clear. Could be the seating problem.
I had been eager to see Les Miserables on stage for years, so admittedly I may have had high expectations going in. And while a few of the performances stood out well; Javert, Eponine, Gavroche, I found on the whole the production was lacking. The biggest complaint, which was shared by most whom I spoke to, was that the performance was rushed. They forgo the emotional connection in order to keep the show within the three hour window, which was rather disappointing. The best part of the show was the set design. I was very impressed with the stage and the transitions between scenes, and more so with the use of projection.
a good performance, well worth seeing. the singing and music were not as piercing as one would hope, and it seemed a bit rushed
Cosette and Javert had the most incredible voices! I got choked up at the A Heart Full of Love song.
Orchestra was incredible! Singing is still playing in my head when I wake in the morning! My tears fell from the first scene on through the heart pounding awing spectacular climactic finale!
it was an amazing show. excellent performance and production!
Cast was very young, and with the modified, tiny props, it felt more like a really good school play. This is my 11th time seeing Les Mis, so I have just a few others to compare it too. Not worth $120!
I was really surprise with this show. Music, scenery and actors were high level... Congratulations to all people involve and don't miss this show!!
Amazing! This is a talented group! Don't miss it! These artists put their hearts into the music, and you could feel it. Way to go cast!
Wonderful powerful singing. Great stage. Great Show
I did not see the concert because Ticketmaster nor Broadway Across Canada refused to change my ticket date so my ticket was given away. It was impossible for me to attend as my grandson's graduation was on that date.
This is the fourth production of Les Miz that I've seen and unfortunately, it was the one I enjoyed the least. The good: -Andrew Varela as Javert was amazing. -Jason Forbach also caught my attention. Very charismatic and passionate. -the sets and stage design were beautiful and unique. Cosette and Marius meet in Cosette's garden in a balcony scene that obviously references Romeo and Juliet The bad: -the pronunciation by some of the characters was sloppy. It would have been difficult for a first time spectator to understand many of the lyrics. -Young Cosette and Gavroche sing with lisps. Maybe the director thought that this would make them more childish and endearing. The ugly: -the pacing in the first half just didn't do it for me. Overall, it was just a bit too frenzied. For example, Fantine sings "I dreamed a dream" like a chipmunk on fast forward so you miss out on the raw anguish and emotion that's usually conveyed by this song. (I have nothing against Genevieve Leclerc's voice... it was astounding. Unfortunately, I don't feel that this song showcased her abilities.) The pacing in the second half was better.
I have seen Les Miserable once before but was not good as this one Very dramatic and I enjoyed very much.
Music, acting, singing, lights, props, costumes, special effects-- EVERYTHING was over the top.
This was my 4th time seeing this play with the last being in London, England in September. The amazing thing with this performance was that I felt like I was watching it for the first time! Many changes have been made to play - some very slight. However, the biggest change was the sets. Much more elaborate with the changing screens in the background. Really brought out the story and the characters. The individual performances were excellent, the voices very strong (especially Javert!). Can't wait to see it a 5th time.
The singing was amazing. For a traveling production, the sets were great and some special effects I don't remember from seeing a different production.
I cant think of the words to describe the experience of seeing Les Miserables. You get lost in the story and music. The whole casts voices are incredible as are the props and the orchestra. During intermission, I was already wishing I couod see it again. I have seen the show several times over the years and each time feels like the first
Seen musical twice before-my favorite ! Was fantastic seeing with a new stage production!
I saw les mis a couple of days ago for the very first time, man was it ever amazing, tge set, the singing, the lighting everything was just fantastic. my favorite character was probably Jean Valjean his singing was outstanding I still got goosebumps.
I have seen Les Mis many times and continue to enjoy the production. This production had things about it that were excellent and some that I didn't like at all. The prostitute scene was far too graphic for a family show and I did not appreciate it. The words of the song "Lovely Ladies" explain the dismal life of a prostitute without having the actors play out the scene by performing the acts of oral sex and intercourse so graphically on stage. If the actors didn't have clothes on, it would have been pornographic. Very disappointing from a production that is not rated as being such a show and not really appropriate in a production that has the ending line "to love another person is to see the face of God". I thought the interpretation of the "Empty Chairs" song was beautiful and appreciated that. I wish that the audience could have seen Gavorche during his death scene as other productions had done but overall a decent show.
