The sound was too low. We couldn’t hear all the singers. That’s for our range of ages from 16-42

About
Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

Simply Amazing!
by GTAR on 2018-07-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5From the opening act right through to the closing curtain I was captivated by the incredible artistry at work! An extraordinary experience to see this beloved story in a live performance.
Wonderful night
by Allura77 on 2018-07-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5Loved the show. A must see. Had such an amazing cast.
Amazing
by JimbobNY on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5I was blown away with the professionalism and the complexity of the sets. It looked like something you would see on Broadway and not a travelling show where the cast is only in a venue for a week or so. Great way to spend an evening.

SPECTACULAR!!!
by GDKRW on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Nothing to say but that it was spectacular, blew our minds and we LOVED IT!!!
Great show, bad seats
by DramaMama2 on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5This show was amazing. It would have been better if I had not had my tickets screwed up. Music was wonderful. I wish that during curtain call, that the backstage crew would be recognized. They did an amazing job with the set, sound effects, lighting and special effects. Their hard work should be applauded. I understand that the play is set in s dark and dingy period and to portray that, the lighting was kept on the dim side, but for anyone sitting in the balconies, I personally had trouble knowing who was singing. It also made it hard to see all the details on the costumes
Disappointed in Les Mis
by WMD2018 on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5Went to Les Miserable on Friday, July 6, 2018 and we were very disappointed, we left at intermission. Our seats were first balcony 4th row, so they were just fine. However, we weren't able to understand any of the dialogue, the sound just seemed to be coming from the stage, not up in the balcony. It was loud enough, but not clear at all. We were totally lost because we couldn't understand a word.
Great evening at Les Miserables!
by CyclingMo on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Other than the odd time I had trouble understanding the words to a song, the evening was perfect. The actors/actresses were amazing! Their voices were so powerful and engaging, I was pinned to my seat throughout the performance. The stage set was so well done and changes were seamless. A performance well worth seeing!
Les Mis at the Jubilee
by Alice4 on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5I and the people on either side of us had a difficult time understanding the lyrics especially when sung by the men. Only about 20% of the words were clear. The voices were strong however. Our first balcony seats were too far to see the facial expressions of some of the actors so only the close main floor guests were laughing during the few funny parts.
Les Miz was lacking in Sound Quality and Staging
by MusicalLoverEdm on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5I have seen Les Miz 5 times over the last many years including twice on separate occasions at the Edmonton Jubilee. This time was by far the worst as the sound quality was horrible. Most of the time the performers voices were so muffled and the music over took the performers. The singer that did Javert was inaudible most of the time and for someone with such a powerful voice you could hardly make out what he was saying. We talked to those sitting around us at intermission and as we were leaving and they all agreed it was very poor quality of sound. We even mentioned it the the usher and she said everyone was saying that but nothing could be done. For those seeing the performance for the first time with the staging changes it was almost impossible to figure out the story line and they almost rushed through the performace. As well, this time even the music was rushed so there were times the performers almost had to rap out words to keep with the music tempo. As someone who loves this musical and seen it multiple times I was highly disappointed and would not recommend it at all.
Phenomenal!!!
by Sara13 on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5This has to be one of the best versions of this show that I’ve seen! It was amazing!
Les mis was an awesome play.
by Parkjar on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5The play was beautiful , the location was great. A lot of work goes into making this type of presentation, the lighting and the backdrop were amazing.
Incredible show
by Anonymous on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5The acting, music and overall production was incredible.
Les Mis a Miss!
by Anonymous on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5I found this a very mediocre production but I am probably very biased as I have been fortunate to see this incredible production performed in London, New York and of course on Tour when it has been in Edmonton. I found the leads were very weak compared to the likes of Colm Wilkinson and Michael Burgess etc. I also found the sound system brutal and had I not known the score I would have had difficulty knowing what was going on. For anyone seeing this for the first time I am sure they would rave about it. The music is incredible.
Les Misérables
by lascar on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5Found that the sound was poor and was difficult to understand, especially the men.
Les Miserables was amazing!!!
by BigFan1957 on 2018-07-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5What an amazing experience! The entire production from stage settings to the actors and actresses performances was absolutely breathtaking.
I will always come back for Les Mis!
by PrincessBeany on 2018-07-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5My favourite musical. I will keep coming back time and time again. This version again, did not disappoint. The music was fantastic! Our seats were in the front row of the second balcony and they were great.
Scratch this one off the bucket list
by Plumber on 2018-07-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5My wife and I both enjoyed it. We have heard about it for many years and were anticipating something special. Although somewhat operatic it did not disappoint. The talent was excellent, the voices superb.
