About

Lights is many things all at once: Singer. Songwriter. Producer. Multi-instrumentalist. Comic book author. DJ. Artist. She’s also unabashedly honest and unapologetically confident. Weaving in and out of alternative, indie, electronic, and dance, she makes manic pop irreverent of boundaries, yet reverent of truth. She speaks her heart musically and her mind lyrically. It’s why her shadow over alternative music and culture continues to grow with streams in the hundreds of millions and widespread critical acclaim. Over the course of career thus far, the Canada-born disruptor has garnered four JUNO Awards, including 2020’s “Dance Recording of the Year” for the platinum smash “Love Me” with Felix Cartal and “Pop Album of the Year” for her previous two albums, Skin&Earth and Little Machines. She has sold out tours on multiple continents and powered collaborations with Travis Barker, deadmau5, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, and more. Now, she captivates like never before, kickstarting a new era with single “Prodigal Daughter.”

    Not impressed. Waste of time.

by Hi, I’m disappointed. on 2023-02-14Bridgeworks - Hamilton

Spent an hour and half in line even though the line wasn’t long. Once I got into the venue there was no opening act and had to be subjected to Tynomi Banks voguing to shitty music for what felt like 2 hours. I left because what the fuck lights.

    Awesome show as always!

Great venue, well thought out setlist. Lights is always high energy and always brings her A game. I will always buy a ticket whenever she is within 200km of me. Lights Army forever!

    Great performer but extremely unorganized

    by (^O^☆♪ on 2023-02-14

Waited an hour for the doors to be opened to the venue, then had to wait another hour for Tynomi Banks to perform her opening act, where she made out with a man in the audience twice, who visibly seemed very uncomfortable afterwards. Then had to wait 30~ minutes for the crew to set up the stage for Lights. Lights was incredible live, but the entire experience was awful. She didn’t apologize for being late, so who knows if it was the venue’s fault or Lights herself, but I wouldn’t go to another one of her shows again.

    Good, but super delayed

by Pancake on 2023-02-13Bronson Centre - Ottawa

I received an email from Ticketmaster saying that doors were at 6pm and showed up around 5-5:30 to get front row. I was skeptical, as the Facebook event said doors were at 7 and lights went on at 8pm. We eventually got inside and got into the crowd, nice and close to the front fortunately. However, a surprise drag queen was performing that was not on the bill. She started around 8-8:15 when Lights was supposed to perform. Lights did not go on stage until 9:15pm. Despite how much waiting, the show was spectacular. Lights played some of her PEP album hits and many classic songs, even performing February Air - her first released song.

Lights is an incredible performer! She poured her heart and soul into song after song, the energy was unparalleled! I would definitely see her again live in concert.

Been listening to Lights since I was a teenager, never seen her live before. Her performance was so energetic and fun we had a great time! Love PEP!! Not a big fan of the choice of venue, it was dirty and unorganized.

    Lights was electric

by melly on 2023-02-10Coors Event Centre - Saskatoon

This was my first time seeing Lights despite being a casual fan since 2009. I was highly impressed, she had such high energy, was fun and sounded so good! I was also impressed that the first drag Queen opener at our venue happened, and it was legendary Tynomi Banks. Tynomi was a blast, I laughed so hard and I wish she had a longer set.

    A good time

by Chance on 2023-02-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Me and my buddy had a good time, The place was clean and the lady that scanned our tickets joked around that only my ticket worked and my buddy couldn't come hahaha. Very funny, give her a raise! We decided after a few minutes that we didn't want to stand on the floor so we went to the upstairs and it was great. Very good time 10/10!

I got the vip experience and I am so happy I did. Not only is lights an incredibly kind person that takes the time to really talk to her fans and make everyone feel welcome, she also puts on an absolutely amazing performance. Her stage presence is amazing and i will definitely be going to the next show she does near me!

    Fun as Heck!

by Mik on 2023-02-06Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The show was as fun as heck! The set list was insane. Lights sounded phenomenal like always. The lighting and visuals were awesome. 12/10 would recommend I will say that there was some very intoxicated people in the crowd that took away from the show. But I will say that is due to this being the first concert since 2019.

    The best live performances

    by B. H. on 2022-10-19

Lights may be my favourite artist, not only because she's completely authentic and original, but her voice carries around the room when she sings that gives you goosebumps. She puts on the best shows and I love the intimate venues she plays at. Really makes you feel like you are apart of the concert.

    Lights Is Awesome!

by Christine on 2022-05-13History - Toronto

This was my first time going to History and overall, it was a really good experience! The venue is pretty cool and the performance was awesome! I also really liked sitting in the south box seats, very comfy. My only ‘complaints’ for the event were: - we had to wait ten minutes to be seated at our table in the south box section, which was a bit long in my opinion. - I tried two of the cocktails on the menu and they were super strong so I didn’t really enjoy them. - During the last couple songs, our waitress was trying to get us to pay and ended up knocking my drink over onto me. So I missed the last bit of the show and my pants got soaked. I wish she would have waited until after the show was over to complete the payment. But other than that, I had a really great time and enjoyed the show.

    Lights was great

Lights is amazing, I am a huge fan. As a shorter person I just wish it was easier to see, and that the show lasted longer.
