With the release of Living Things in 2012, unflagging rap rock pioneers Linkin Park landed their fourth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200, quickly following up in 2013 with Recharged, a remix album of the release featuring productions by Steve Aoki and KillSonik. The band's increasingly dance-oriented sound was reflected on their 2013 tour dates, which saw Aoki appearing alongside the band in a series of high-energy performances anchored by Aoki's remix of their latest single "A Light That Never Comes." The band's 2000 debut Hybrid Theory was an overnight success, becoming the top-selling album of 2001 and earning the band their first Grammy for single "Crawling." 2003 follow-up Meteora proved an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawning four No. 1 singles including fan favorites "Faint" and "Numb." The subsequent Meteora World Tour generated millions in ticket sales, firmly cementing the band's ongoing presence at the top of festival bills. In 2013, lead singer Chester Bennington announced his replacement of Scott Weiland as lead singer of '90s alternative icons Stone Temple Pilots, but fans can rest assured – Linkin Park has announced plans to release their sixth studio album with Bennington in 2014, and will perform their debut album Hybrid Theory in full at the 2014 Download Festival.
The concert was great even though my seat not. Would love to watch them again in the future.
Intro band (Pendilum) was good, accoustics not as great as Linkin Park. Linkin Park had great accoustics, stage was very plain. Audience was sucked in pretty good to participate in singing with the band. Overall Rating for me 4/5 If I comapre them to MUSE, Muse was 5/5. Stage, accoustics, movement and action. That is a concert to rememeber! Confidently said, Linkin Park will get there one day! (SOON)
Linkin park was amazing. They performed for about one hour and fifty minutes and none of it was a dull moment. Wish it didn't have to end. I flew to toronto from vancouver to see them and it was worth it
An amazing concert, brilliant set list, incredibly powerful performaces by the whole band! They honestly sounded as good live as they do on their albums. Apparently they cancelled their next two concerts because of Chester being sick, I like to think it's because he sang so hardcore at the ACC in Toronto! And believe me he did!
I had the privilege of seeing Linkin Park on February 8th, 2011 at the Air Canada Center in Toronto Ontario. I've been counting the days since I purchased my tickets. I own all their CD's and listen to them constantly. When they came on stage they commanded the forum. Their energy, incredible talent, passion for their music touched every person there. The mixture of their hits as well as the songs from their newly released CD was well formatted. The special effects added to the energy of both the band and audience. Both Mike and Chester engaged their fans in being part of this spectacular performance. This was a concert I will never forget and look forward to seeing them again. Thanks guys! Angela
The concert was fantastic and amazing! My friend and I danced and sang all the songs! Will love to see them everytime when they are in the same city!
It was extremely fun, Linkin Park was so amazing to see! They sound just as good live as they do recorded.
It was pretty much like a best of Linkin Park album. They played everything I wanted to hear anyway. They didn't go off and play a bunch of songs the crowd wouldn't recognize, and every from the 300 section, it was a well put together show with even better sound! Hearing Chester belt out those notes was absolutely phenomenal live. One of the best shows I've seen.
Fantastic show! Lots of energy, played old stuff & new stuff.
First time seeing Linkin Park, long time fan. I don't know what those were playing before them, they were god awful. It felt like I was at a rave, for the price there should of been bands recognizable to the LP fan base. There were people there who were so in love(grown boys/men) with LP, I thought I was at a Bieber concert with screaming little girls
The show was awesome with Chester belting out those primal screams every now and then. I actually much prefer his voice now to earlier days as it is much more mature sounding...but I do love the early days too though. The images on the screens were kind of interesting although they do not make for great background shots overall..but not a deal breaker. They played for a total of about 90 min or so and all their major hits of course. Wish it was a bit longer as I am used to but not bad. Many are critical of their new album whereas I found it yet another facet of Linkin Park that was wonderful and a joy to listen to. I do not have to listen to same formula over and over again and Linkin Park brought their A game and mixed it up. You will enjoy this concert plenty and Pendulum were awesome too but many did not really get into it...their loss. Enjoy the show.
Even though Chester claimed to be ill during his Toronto concert (and subsequently cancelled his next concert in Washington) he and the band were AMAZING! It's so refreshing to go to a concert and hear a band sound and play exactly like they do on disc.
Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been to! Linkin Park creates so much energy from their fans and are absolutely amazing live!
As somewhat of a drummer myself (certianly not a pro) one of the main reasons I go to concerts is to watch the drummer play. From where I was sitting in section 309 of the Air Canada Centre, there was a speaker hanging down from the ceiling totally obstructing my view of the drummer which was very disappointing. I wish I had known in advance that the stage would be partially obstructed by the speaker. The sound for the show was extremely clear, and LP are such quality musicians that they don't have to cover up the music with countless bombs and pyro. I only ask that the venue or LP do a better job of informing fans of areas of the stage they will be unable to see due to obstructions. My ticket did not mention any obstructed views.
The show was great! The band had great energy even though theirs lead singer had a cold. Set list was fantastic as well, they mixed the old with the new seamlessly.
Linkin Park put on an incredible show, and Pendulum was great as well.
With having tickets to the concert in what Ticketmaster referred to as "Rearview" seating, I was worried for weeks. When I got to the venue, I knew ticketmaster wouldn't sell bad seats and was surprised at how good the seats were. Linkin Park played a variety of songs that all blended together very well and they got the crowd involved which is what concerts are all about. They even tried to give us "rearview" seaters some face time. Just an amazing show. The lights, the performances, the set list....everything!!!! PERFECT from start to finish.
LP was a great show! Mike and Chester really got the crowd involved, amazing lights, really great sounding live, and just an overall awesome time. Only thing that would have made it better would be if they let Mr. Hahn play "Cure for the Itch", if the played "Points of Authority", and if they played "In The End" as the absolute last song. Buy tickets, you will have an awesome time!
One of the greatest experiences of my life! I went early, got to meet Linkin Park and was able to snag front row on the floor. They put on such an amazing live show that even if you're not a Linkin Park fan, you are sure to enjoy it nonetheless. A definite must see!
Linkin Park show was awesome. Chester and Mike were excellent!
