band was fantastic better than expected great venue
This concert was amazing. Live was terrific. We had alot of fun. a bunch of friends behind us also made the evening enjoyable. The Venue is so beautiful. Very easy to get to the venue. Not having to wait outside until the doors open. There is plenty of leg room. seats are comfortable. Would love to attend more concerts here, however $50. is very steep after you have just paid good money for tickets. Sad to say, I will not attend again with that. price for parking. Ticket holders should get a discount on parking. Im sure this is not the first time you have heard this.
My husband and I (now early 40's) listened to Live throughout our highschool years and attended several concerts, which were awesome. On Satuday October 29,2022 we traveled to the OLG Stage to hear them for the first time in probably 2 decades. The venue was PERFECT, amazing seats with awesome sound, effects & lighting. The band was arguably even better than before, and we were impressed then! We could've listened for another hour, the music was so good. Great audience engagement. My only complaint is that it was only a one-night show, I'd go back again in a heartbeat. It was a phenomenal evening, so thankful it was made possible.
Ed and the band were phenomenal. Played all the hits and some old classics. Terrific venue. Overall a 10 out of 10
Live..was anazing They rocked the Avalon Theatre. Absolutely out of this world. We had the greatest time ..they should come back agsin! A fantastic night to remember š
Had a great time seeing Live in concert. I have been to many concerts and this is in my list of favorites. Amazing vocals and very talented band. Wish they were playing near me again, would definitely go. Thanks for a great evening.
When I walked into the venue, I was surprised with all the security, and felt like I was at an airport. I suppose in today's climates, we do have to be careful. We had to empty our pockets of keys, phone, etc. in order to walk through a scanner, interesting. The venue, being a new theatre, part of Niagara Falls Casino, was fantastic. Seating 5000 people I believe, was huge and very comfortable. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is interested in seeing their favourite artists, bands, or other events held there. Now as for LIVE, Ed was in top performance mode, as always. The show was great, as all hits were played. My disappointment however, was not being aware it was the entire LIVE band. Ed was the only member of the band, with the rest to me, being unknown musicians. They were great musicians, but were playing the songs. Chad, Chad, and Patrick (one of my fave bass players), would be completely intimate with the songs, as they were part of the creative process for the music. When LIVE performed as a band together, you really knew they were connected then.
Live never fail to blow you away with their sets. Just awesome...
I've been wanting to see Live, uh, live... for the longest time. They've been a favourite band of mine since the nineties and a lot of their songs contribute to the soundtrack of my adult life. Getting the chance to experience tracks like Lakini's Juice and Run To The Water in person is a thrill that's hard to describe. As with any concert there were a few tracks I was hoping to hear that didn't get played, but that's a quibble. The show delivered was totally worth the three hours to get to Niagara Falls from Toronto (and hour and a half to get back).
The sound was extremely loud, the sound balance between band and voice was not correct making it hard to hear lead singers voice over the band. I thought it wouldnāt make a difference with the original Live band members not in attendance, but it did. As a fan of livesā and having seen a great deal of their concerts. This was the worst. We almost left after the first few songs but hung in close to the end. If Live doesnāt get its band issues worked out and come together again itās probably not worth attending another show. Sorry guys but this is my honest review.
It was good. Ed was still Ed, voice and all. The band he had in niagara kinda s*cked though. Guitar player and Drummer were really off. A few 80-90 yr old people left when the band started playing, they probably didnt know Live+ they were just curious. But hey free tickets for fallsview gambling addicts.
I was singing like a 16 year old - which I am not!!!
A fantastic show, I saw Live open up for another band years ago and I was a huge fan ever since. The new OLG venue was fantastic. Hope to go back for other concerts and hope to see Live again one day.
Would have given them 5 stars except that the venue and the crowed where a little "stuffy" I have seen them 4 times going alll the way back to the original Throwing Copper tour Ed was in great voice maybe the 3 year covid lay off helped him hit the high notes? 0ne of the best bands of their era and should be in the rock and roll hall of someday ...
Probably one of the most under appreciated bands!! Amazing in concert!!!!! Sound just like their albums!! No buffering of the event, everything was "live" and real and they played hard the whole time!! Encore was BY FAR the best part!! Was not thrilled though with Rama`s entertainment centre- they could do something more to it..... for Rama I was slightly disappointed!
I was really looking forward to this concert in a small venue as I have been a Live fan for years. The sound was dissapointing and it seemed that the band just came on and played because they wanted to get paid. They had very little chemistry with the audience and only played for 1 hour and 25 minutes. The stage was very simple which didn't add to the concert. The band seemed out of sorts at the beginning but basically started to gel more after a few songs in.
I was extremely surprised at the lead singers lack of a stage presence and inability to engage the audience. The lead singer looked awkward and lost when moving around the stage. Lead vocals were horrid and nowhere near the pitch and tone as heard on past albums. The bassit on the other hand was fantastic as were the back up vocals. The lead guitarist had a very commanding presence however his choice in attire was an outdated Elvis like shirt which did not fit my expected Live image . Overall the experience left a lot to be desired. I will now think twice about going to a concert of a band whom I absolutely adored 15yrs ago.
played every thing from old live to recent stuff. and the sound and voculs were perfect.
I had a blast!! The band was amazing and the songs brought back so many wonderful memories!! Quite a mix of people attending.
there was an excellent mix of their music playing alot of their top hits off of trhowing copper while playing a couple of more recent songs, including the new but old one from kevin smiths Zak and miri make a porno. They played ones like Lakinis Juice from Secret Samahdi and played my favourite I alone.
