    Loretta not up to par

by Nose on 2013-10-27Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Although Loretta Lynn put on a valiant effort the sound in the Jubilee leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend anyone go to a show there. The sound was distorted, garbled and overamplified. I get better sound on my laptop than what we heard at the Jubilee.

    Loretta Lynn EXCELLENT!~

by Ione on 2013-10-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The LORETTA LYNN concert was fantastic. Pretty amazing at the age of 81 as her show was excellent! Loretta never missed a beat! My 87 year old mother really enjoyed the show. Brett, the Coal Miners and the twins were just great! Too bad the Calgary Herald never had time to do a write up! unless I missed it. The VANCOUVER SUN and DAWSON CREEK had a write up on the sold out shows.

    Loretta Lynn

by Steverunner2 on 2013-10-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Loretta Lynn's performance was admirable , she gave her all once again and thrilled the fans with her #1 hit , Coal Miners Daughter, her band the Coal Miners are a force to be reckoned with. Much talent, heart, and respect for the First Lady of Country Music. Thank you Loretta , family , and friends for giving us a "night to remember".

Loretta sang like a song bird. Her dress was a Loretta Lynn outfit and she looked amazing.

    Loretta Lynn

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The band, her daughters, and her granddaughter were great ! When Loretta came out, she had her usual class, and put on an excellent performance. All the songs were a pleasure, and her band is outstanding. Well worth seeing !! Nicely done!

Loretta sings the same as ever. It was nice to "meet her family" and they are accomplished performers . She has an excellent band who did a couple of tunes also. Enjoyable.

    Loretta was great!

by misshoneybunny on 2013-10-22Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I was really impressed with Loretta, her age has not affected her warmth or love of singing. She still has a lot of strength in her voice. You can tell she still enjoys performing and the audience was obviously very happy to be there. I enjoyed hearing her daughters and her grandaughter sing. Loretta has the most beautiful eyes. I am so glad I got to see her and would love to attend another one of her concerts. She is the last of a wonderful era of country music.

    81 years of greatness

This show was exactly what I expected from a legend of her age. It made my mom cry. Worth the money for the memories.

Would recommend that you ad local act as opening act as show was short in time. When I toured her through BC in the 90's we had Don Herron (Charlie Farqunson) open for her and made for a full evening.

    Loretta Lynn

by grmsy on 2013-10-21Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Loretta wasn't feeling the best it seems and either the sore throat or forgetfulness had her miss a line or two in songs on three occasions. I felt the show was too short for the cost and with no encore it was a bit of a let down. She had her twin daughters opening for her after the lead guitarist did a couple songs, I was fine with that then her granddaughter sang a song with her toddler son out dancing to it near the end which was cute and also fine, but all total only about half of the show was Loretta Lynn and some of that was chatting which was nice history but wished there was more of her singing that was what I expected and paid for. If I'd known she wasn't up to doing a full show or (?) I may have still gone but not had larger expectations or I may have opted out all together.

Good show, but no surprise that her voice is straining at 81. I was appalled at the number of patrons who arrived late and the number who went out and back during the show. Also lots of cameras in spite of numerous signs. No enforcement of the rules!

    Lorretta Lynn

by elite on 2013-10-21Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

As I have watch a few country and western singers entertain no other has given the people a little bit of their back ground while giving us a perfect show. there is just no way to describe just how Loretta and her family entertained the Vancouver audience

    Loretta Lynn is

by Cinnabar99 on 2013-10-21Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Loretta was very entertaining. She talked about her start in Blaine, WA and how Canadians crossed the border to support her when she first started out. She interacted with the audience and has a great sense of humour. Great guitarist/backup singer with her. Amazing voice. Her daughters and granddaughter were very good and it was so cute when her great grandson wandered out on stage. For an 81 year old lady ( and she is a real lady) she put on a phenonimal show. I was thrilled to finally get to see the greatest lady of country music ever. She can sing just like she used to and still gives it all she can. Loved the show.
