So happy to have had a chance to hear a true artist. I listened to this lady as I was growing up & named my daughter after her.
Yes, she is 81 years old. And you can tell. She forgot a few words, missed a few notes, and lost her beat once or twice. BUT. In saying that. If you are a Loretta fan, that won't matter to you at all. She has spunk and she was very gracious.
Loretta Lynn put on an excellent concert! She is still the First Lady of Country Music. The Red Robinson Theatre is an excellent venue!!
It was wonderful to see and hear her live. It was enjoyable to hear her daughters and granddaughter sing - they all have beautiful voices. However we were disappointed that the concert only lasted 1 hr and 15 minutes ( with Loretta only singing about 45 min). For the price of the tickets I would have expected and enjoyed more.
What a fabulous show you put on Loretta, Thank you!!! You are a Legend!!!!
loved it,every bit of it,stories and jokes were great....love that woman
I can't believe this dear lady performed when you could tell she was in so much pain from breaking her toe & doing a full show the night before ! She gave it " ALL SHE HAD " , the audience knew that & loved her even more for it. We had a great time & all got a little teary at some point. Her band was amazing & you can tell they treasure her. Thank you Loretta, never disappointed :)
Loretta Lynn came out in a beautiful lilac coloured, sequined floor length gown. Her voice was amazing and she spoke intimately with the audience, like we were all friends and family. This was, by far, the best concert I have ever attended. The venue size was great because the view was perfect from anywhere
It was an unforgetable evening with the queen of Country. The seats we excellent which made viewing the concert great.
Great concert overall. It was a bonus that her twin daughters Patsy and Peggy helped open the show. Really glad I was able to hear a legend perform!
I was worried that with Loretta's age, she wouldn't be putting on the greatest performances these days, but luckily i was wrong. She was witty, sassy and sang wonderfully. She didn't even have a set list, she just let the audience yell out what they wanted to hear, which i thought was really unique and interactive. Really hope she comes back to Toronto.
The band was too loud for the Lynn twins. Lorretta voice was stronger for some songs e.g. The cold miners daughter.. Felt she was unstage a lot and was entertaining..
Great show, glad to see her 1 more time. Played all the great songs, daughters also sang to open show. Fantastic.
When she walked out on the stage and started singing tear started to fall, I couldn't believe I was there listening to a Country Legend. She was fantastic,I will remember this concert for ever.
Seeing Loretta on Saturday was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. She is in her 80's and she is still amazing. How can you not have respect for somebody who can still get up there and sing all her greatest hits for us at that age. You can tell she loves what she does and she doesn't want to give it up which is one of the reasons why I love her. She paved the way for females in country music and it was such an honor seeing her on Saturday. She is the true definition of "country". Her voice is still amazing and she puts on a great show. I would definetly recommend seeing the wonderful Queen of country music if you have the opportunity to. I had so much fun and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Their can only be one queen in country music and her name is LORETTA LYNN. This concert is a "must see." Love You Loretta.
I just saw Loretta Lynn,,,,she sounded just like her records....she was awesome. Great show....she was funny and sweet...and just a total PRO!! The whole show was great. She looked great as well. I loved her dress. She sang Patsy Cline and hit all the notes. I am so glad I went. and I am a very critical person! My dad loved it and so did his friend. I even have video i took with my camaro...i played it for a few people at work...they all thought she sounded great!!!
I always wanted to see Loretta, ever since I was a little girl. But as time goes by, So does the ablity of Our Singers. Loretta was great in here day, I know every word to every song I can Thank her for that. But now its time to put down the guitar,Enjoy how it Use to be, And sing to Family and Friends. At the Concert, She could only do the minimal, and that was very disappointing. Everyone Else had to Complete the show for her. We Love You Loretta, And wish you all The Best
Loretta said that her voice gave out after the first couple of songs but she still sounded great to the audience. It was worth it to get to see the legend Loretta and her daughters too. Overall the concert was a once in a lifetime chance to see.
Loretta Lynn must think all Canadians are stupid! She claimed after two songs that:one-she had high blood pressure and had to sit. Secondly, she was loosing her voice, and had to have Patsy come help her. It was really amazing that every time she sang with Patsy, her voice was loud and strong. She had Patsy sing most of her songs, and the two of them spent most of the time talking. I could have tuned into Jay Leno for that. In my opinion this was just a ruse to push her daughters career. We got to listen to her band, her two daughters, and at the most, five songs sung by Loretta. For someone who "lost" her voice, when she stood up to sing her finale, "Coal Miner's Daughter," she was in full, stong Loretta Lynn voice. In my opinion, what ol Dooley had done to her all their married life, she did to us. My review in five words-GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!
Loretta Lynn was a treasure to see. Something I will remember for yrs to come. I am glad she had her daughters Patsy and Peggy there. They have opened up a whole new generation to listen too. I loved the show and would love to see her again. I would also buy tickets to see her daughters and her band. :)
