Concert was awesome! Brought back lots of memories.
Mike Reno still has the pipes to pull off his hits! So happy I got the chance to see him. The sound system was waaay off tho. Up in the mezzanine area the band was too loud and drowned him out, figured that would have been fixed by the time he came on. P.s. the long guitar solos did not add to the performance.
Both bands were enjoyable. This was my first time seeing either of them perform live. The music was great. They played all of their hits and we had a great time.
We saw Loverboy and Trooper at Casino Rama. I was a huge Trooper fan so was really disappointed with the music and the lead singer's voice which was showing the signs of age. Guitar solo and drum solos were just noise. I wasn't a huge loverboy fan but now I am. Loverboy clearly had grown in their musical expertise since the '80's and the lead singer's voice was fantastic -- in fact it was so good we kept looking to see if t he was lip syncing (which we concluded he wasn't). The music was superb. Their solos were awesome. The guy who plays the piano, sax and harmonica was extremely talented but so were all the other musicians. I'd definitely go back and see them. The lead singer sang one of the Doors songs - he should do more of that in addition to his other stuff - his voice really works.
Great show. They were very good considering their age had a great time.
Both bands were excellent and seemed to be having a blast. Both singers can still belt it out, especially Mike Reno who still sounds like he could re-record all the hits!
Loverboy outshined Trooper by far. Just shows you Senior citizens can still rock!!!
Trooper was good but not sure why the singer kept banging his head with his hand like he did. It was pretty funny đ Was very disappointed with loverboy left after a few songs.
Loverboy and trooper were awesome. This is my first experience at casino rama. I definitely want to go again. To improve.... we were sitting in mezanine second row, and had the balisters top frame in our view, we had to stretch to look on top, or lower ourselves to look through the glass. Overall great experience
Excellent concert - one of the best ones I have been to - can't say enough how much of a good time we had.
Another awesomely spectacular concert! Trooper and Loverboy were amazing. It brought back many memories and timelines from my past. They sounded perfect all songs were like listening to a CD. Now, of course they have all aged but who hasn't but you couldn't tell that by their performances . Thank You and keep on performing you are light years away from ending your careers !!
Impressed by lead singer Mike Reno's ability to hit all the high notes, the band sang in tune played really well. Unfortunately the performance was really lacking in enthusiasm and energy. They stood relatively immobile during the concert. There was a little bit of interaction by Mike Reno with the audience when he relayed his story about his old age pension check arriving and that was entertaining. The performance needed more engagement with the crowd either just interspersing the music with talking or better yet a little movement and energy. When Mike Reno entered the stage he literally sauntered in around the back like he was taking a walk in the park and trying to avoid an old gf sittting on the park bench. It was kind of weird. When he showed up centre stage my bf and I were like "who is that guy, is that him"...It was an underwhelming entrance and experience. Trooper solos were good. The lead singer interacted with the crowd well. I found his voice so shrill/loud sometimes that I had to cover my ears sometimes only when he sang...issues with sound control? I've seen 4 concerts at Casino Rama and this one is at the bottom for enjoyment. Sorry Loverboy :-(. Room to improve for next time!
Great All about the Music We are all getting older!!
Trooper and Loverboy! Wow!! What a show! We thoroughly enjoyed the music and had a wonderful time. We will definitely repeat this experience!! Looking forward to more concerts in the future. Thanks!
Loverboy was great. The musicianship is tight and spot on. The ser list was what i had hoped for. Mike Reno did a credible job and although he cannot reach notes from the past, did his best. Overall, a great wxperience.
Great experience. Bands were awesome. Event started on time. A good time was had by all.
Such a thrilling experience!! A large group of good friends, siblings & our parents rocked the night away! There was 22 of us all together and we canât wait to do it again soon! Our only down side of the venue was no one would let us stand up and dance! đđź But overall such a fun night!!
I had my doubts about this concert given the ages of the members in these 2 bands and the fact that neither band was ever in my top choices for favourite groups in the 80âs. I was pleasingly wrong about both acts. Both bands delivered musically. They played most of their hits (and even some I had forgotten) flawlessly. We were even impressed by the vocal prowess of both singers at this stage into their careers. All in all, it was a great performance and good pairing of the acts making it a very good concert experience as well as a great night out!
Delivered as promised! All the hits and amazing solos from Matty and Spider. Don't leave early and miss the encore
LoverBoy was spectacular ! Not quite the 80's but so close, couldn't ask for better from a group of guys who have been at it for 40 years. FANTASTIC. Venue is also a favorite !
