Great concert put on a great show and sounded just like the old days
The venue was good. The food was OK. The chicken was dry. The broccoli was limp. The band was suppossed to start at 2300 according to the ticket. They didn't start til 2340. They played for just over 1 hr. Not worth money!
Good show but the band was 30 min late to start and only played for an hour. That was disappointing.
The sound system was horrible. My ears are still bleeding. What's the point of haveimg sound technicians when no attempt to correct. Left side speakers were clearly blown.
Was looking forward to this show as I had never seen the Queen City Kids (QCK) before, had not seen 54-40 for a while, and thought Loverboy would be good as well. The show started out with QCK. Their set was LOUD, so LOUD in fact that it was not enjoyable at all. I was a fan of a few of their songs but after seeing them life I am not impressed. Even their talking to the audience seemed out of touch and dated. I am not interested in ever seeing them again. 54-40 was up next and their set was fantastic! Volume was perfect, interaction with the crowd was good, and overall it was a very enjoyable set. Loverboy was good. Last time I saw them at the casino their set was extremely loud. Volume was much better this time and the band sounded good. We had to leave early to get home to the kids but left with smiles, mostly due to the awesome performance by 54-40!
all around excellent concert excellent seats and sound
Queen City Kids, 5440 and Loverboy all in one evening! What more could one ask for? Well, add to that predinner drinks with great friends, and awesome dinner at The Exchange Restaurant and it's the perfect evening. Danced and sang the whole show! All three bands were awesome! Brought us all back to our teenage years!!
It would appear that the opinion in the lady's washroom was that it is time that Loverboy retired - I have been to many concerts and interestingly when Mike Reno said time to say goodnight the majority of the crowd who were left in the center did not say "encore" but rather made a bee line out. It was almost too long of an event with the 3 bands and the time between performances .... 54-40 should have been the headliner of the evening.
We were shocked at how good Queen City Kids were, its been years since we have seen them and they were fantastic We see Loverboy every time they come to town, it was nice to see them at the arena (as they were with journey a couple of years ago) rather than the casino, sound seemed much better Went to Moxies when 54-40 came on, had zero interest in seeing them
What a great event. Classic rock from 3 of the best classic rock bands. Over 4 hours of non-stop classic rock hits.
The first band Queen City kids was ok. Wish they had played more of there hits from the '80s. 54-40 was awesome! They should have been the headliner! Loverboy' first 4 songs were terrible. Maybe if the lead singer actually sang into the microphone we could hear him better.
The mixing was. Non existent. The entire concert was garbled. I am not familiar with the first two bands. But I knew Loverboy. I had to move from my section beside the stage to a couple toward centre ice so to speak to enjoy the lyrics. The crowd seemed to like the bands and I thought it was not to enjoy a concert with my age group! Lol! Great selection in talent. But fix the mix
Chilliwack was awesome. Love seeing them in concert. Not sure why Loverboy was there. Sure didn't seem Mike Reno wanted to be there.
Loved this concert! Mike and the boys rocked. Great venue. Had floor seats so we were right in front of the stage. Danced all night. It was like they were 20 years old still!
Great Performances. We had amazing seats. Only problem was that the music might have been just a little to high as our ears were actually hurting when over. (And we do like loud rock n roll music). Would go to another concert here. Too bad there was another person sitting two seats to our left that kept making us get up so she could go out and back in (about 8 times)
Chillwack still seems to really enjoy playing for a crowd, putting a lot of effort into their performance and even coming out to greet the fans afterwards. Loverboy seems to just go through the motions to earn a buck, giving a lacklustre performance while never seeming genuine.
Had a great time rocking it out, BUT...Mike Reno was overweight, out of shape, having trouble hitting notes, keeping up with band & first three songs were a BUST with Mike Reno proclaiming headset issues. The BEST PART of the show was the DRUMMER SOLO that was simply OVER THE TOP AMAZING making the show a SUCCESS!...
The only good part of the whole concert was the drum solo...fantastic
Though I like the music, and the voice did not fail, I felt it was a 'tired' performance - he had to take many breaks and appeared old and overweight. There was too much time between songs - it prevented the evening to 'get going' - we revved up but never hit the throttle! '
