Meet Maddie Zahm, one of America's most exciting new pop acts, with her debut album 'Now That I've Been Honest' out now. She launched onto the scene when her fan-favorite single "Fat Funny Friend" galvanized TikTok and became an empowering anthem for people experiencing fat phobia, societal pressure and body dysmorphia. The single came from her 2022 EP You Might Not Like Her, which shared Maddie's story of leaving her hometown of Boise, ID where she was a worship leader at the tender age of 13, and eventually moving to Los Angeles where she came out as queer and did a lot of living to catch up fast. The EP was a beacon for many listeners, who have flocked to Maddie's highly personal songwriting and powerhouse voice. Those fans - who sold out her North American tour in Spring 2023, and make up Maddie's 175 million streams, her million fans on TikTok, and her 3 billion views and 250k videos created on TikTok set to "Fat Funny Friend" - quickly became a community.
Amazing concert, I was worried as it was my first general admission concert and I am not a fan of crowded spaces but the venue had an upper level with comfortable seats and I was able to enjoy the concert without being anxious. Both Maddie and Leanna were vocally amazing live, I’d say even better than the recordings and they both made sure to interact with the crowd and make it a fun experience. Highly recommend
I came to the concert really only liking a few of her songs but after this concert I will now go to every one of her concerts that come to Toronto. She’s incredible live and I was so lucky to be wowed by not only her musical ability but also her stage presence. Would highly recommend people to go to her concerts!!
Hearing Maddie in person was amazing. Hope she comes back to TO on her next tour
