MARC SCIBILIA IN CONCERT:

Marc Scibilia combines classic folk storytelling with a modern pop sensibility, crafting catchy songs chock-full of energy and soul. His singing style alternates between gravely whispers and soaring croons as he breathes life into his beautifully crafted lyrics. Whether playing acoustic or electric, he brings the same sincere and spirited presence to fan favorites like "Better Man", "How Bad We Need Each Other", and "The Shape I'm In". Ticket buyers can expect an emotionally earnest and musically moving performance every time Marc Scibilia takes the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born into a musical family, Marc Scibilia started playing piano at the age of six and moved on to guitar in his 20s. Acting on the advice of his high school counselor (albeit sarcastic), the budding songwriter moved to Nashville to write and perform. The joke was on his "mentor" when Scibilia released his self-titled EP in 2012, which immediately led to opening spots for the likes of John Oates and Six Pence None the Richer. His rise continued in 2013 with The Shape I'm In EP, which led to headlining shows of his own. Scibilia experienced something of a breakthrough in 2015 when his rendition of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" was featured in a Jeep ad that aired during the Super Bowl. That exposure made Scibilia one of the most Shazamed artists during the sporting event and led to interviews with and coverage from outlets like Rolling Stone, USA Today, and Billboard. With a full-length album in the works, Scibilia is busy adding more fans to his ever-growing following with his rousing performances on tour.

  • The concert was brilliant and didn't disappoint.

Marc played all the favourites and even took a request or two. The crowd was energetic and the performers were full of energy. Glad he stopped in Vancouver. The Hollywood was the perfect venue as well. My date was pleased with the event.

20 years of straight grinding in the craft and it shows. Really great concert.

  • Great show and voice

by TeddieLaf on 2025-04-09Rating: 5 out of 5

The show was fabulous. Lots of energy and good crowd rapport. I will start with the venue which was an old theatre and I loved it. Every viewing spot from standing room on the main floor to the balcony seats feels close to the artist. The sound system was fabulous and better than I have experience at the Bell Centre recently. Marc's voice is a cross between Bruce Springstein and Steve Earle and he has some fabulous songs. I prefer his ballad type songs that he sung on his acoustic to the rock and roll songs. I hope he makes sure to let us hear his great voice with every song next time. Can't wait for more songs from this talented fellow.

Dynamic, generous and good music. Sometimes music was too loud and difficult to understand. Since We discovered the singer, it would be nice to show the lyrics.

Très sympathique il communique beaucoup avec le public. Il a un style me rappelant celui de Bruce Springsteen.

Marc Scibilia is music and energy personified. It’s been a long time since I’ve come across an artist whose talent hits so deep. If Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and the Energizer Bunny had a baby - it would be Marc Scibilia. He shares his energy, talent, emotional depth with everyone in the audience and leaves us all better for it. Thank you for sharing your gift with us! Had an amazing evening and the good vibes continued for days afterwards. The Opera House is an amazing and intimate venue with decades of history. Will definitely have fond memories of that evening for years to come.
