Greatest band in the world!đ¸ Sound was awesome band in great form! I
Three consecutive nights, three completely different setlists, and some of the most welcoming & friendly fans. Youâll make lots of friends, you may even bump into the band in the streets! The music is sublime & the bandâs manager makes sure everyone feels like part of the celebration. Book seated tickets early if you want seatsâthree nights is a long time to stand!
This was the 8th time I've seen Marillion since Oct.1987 at Massey Hall; Toronto. This one will not only be remembered as my favourite Marillion concert, but my favourite concert (period) of all-time. The venue, the crowd, the sound quality were all expectedly wonderful, but the one pleasant surprise was how well H's voice held up. I was initially quite concerned that his age would start to show, as it has with so many of my heroes, but he held it together so well for so long. The band's musicianship was exceptional, and broadcast nicely in the cozy venue; both with composition and performance. But these clearly are 5 gentlemen that l proudly went to see; very different from the similarly aged Rammstein retards that were still asking the audience members to flash tits, like they were still in highschool.
What a band to give 3 different concerts in 3 nights to give their fans. Simply amazing band and amazing music and really close to their fans just a pure enjoyment.
Brilliant. Everything they say about this thing is true! It's an unbelievable, beautiful experience. We already know that the band is extraordinary, but there's a whole lot more to this than that. I've been to many great shows over the course of many years, but there is nothing to compare this to. There's no chance that I ever miss another one, so the next one can't come soon enough!
I've been to a few Marillion Weekend events in Montreal over the years. Missed the last one unfortunately. I've taken my son to one before and this time I brought my daughter for her first concert experience. Couldn't have been better! So glad to see that H is still delivering his vocal performance with as much energy and passion as the first time I saw him. Simply Top Notch! The venue is superb and the fans are like family to one another. The new album sounded even better live!
Marillion Weekends are highly recommended for anyone who likes the band. The shows were mind-blowingly good, and the fans were friendly, welcoming, and excited to see a first-timer (fan since 1989, but had never seen a Marillion concert before).
so well done its was an amazing experience. the music and fan interaction was just incredible. cant wait for the next weekend
Marillion Weekend Montreal 2022 was an event any prog-rock fan should experience. This band is amazing and their music is second to none. Well crafted setlist for each of 3 nights. It's a shame this band is not promoted on most radio stations, as their list of songs can be played on any stations. Marillion members have mastered the talent!
Despite of not having received the printed tickets we've offered and no answer to about the e-mail concerning that fact, we could manage being part of the event (so that's why I leave only 4 stars). The location itself was the most worthable spot we've been to! Best view and sound to the stage from every point you are at the theatre. The stage looked so cool, as it's framed. Pretty organized and friendly staff. We'll definitly trying to come back!
L´Olympia est magique. Marillion en très grande forme.
This was my second Marillion Weekend. While you never forget your first time this time was filled once again with three nights of bliss. Every night a different set of songs that made me sing, scream, gave me goosebumps and had me crying. Only Marillion brings out this kind of emotion in me and no other band has such an intense connection with their fans. Those who know, know what it's like.
Ok, so I'm biassed. I think Marillion is still consistently one of the best bands still making great records after 40 years. I have been to many shows around the world. I have been to the Marillion Weekend in the Netherlands, which is supposed to be THE experience. But this weekend in Montreal was hands down the best in 35 years of seeing the band live. The L'Olympia is a perfect standing room facility. The city is welcoming, affordable and friendly (with great food and beer). I will pass on the Netherlands weekends from now on, and just go to Montreal. Spectacular weekend.
Three nights with the greatest musical "family" in the world!! There is nothing else like it, and will remember these three nights fora very long time.
Next one i'll be There too. It was fantastik everything was more then professionnel.
I cannot say enough, they killed it. The music, the lights, the crowd the entire atmosphere was off the charts! Best front man, H was just incredible..i mean they all were but H had it going on this weekend. Marillion...best kept secret, so shhhhh dont tell anyone. Love them
so this was my first experience of a Marillion weekend, been a fan since the beginning, but the last time i saw them live was 1989 on seasons end tour, I was then living in the UK. fast forward 30 something years and 3 days of Marillion in Montreal. night one was a good mix of older and popular songs and a great way to warm up and leave everyone wanting more. night two was the new album from beginning to end. An hour before its dark was already well listened to when it was released earlier this year, but witnessing this live was almost a spiritual experience and reduced many to tears (me included) night three was seasons end album from beginning to end and was the draw for me as like I said earlier was the last tour i saw Marillion on! Again delivered on every level!! Marillion are a masterclass of outstanding musicians that deliver the best live experience imaginable. Seeing Marillion should be a bucket list item and is now well and truly ticket off for me, there are so many memories engrain from this weekend experience, thanks Marillion that was better than five stars and blew me away along with the roof off the l'Olympia
My first Marillion weekend. Now I understand the magic. Itâs a big family. The boost of energy is awesome. Lucy is as close to the fans as the band members themselves. Canât wait for the next weekend
Fist time I saw this Tolkien namesake, Fish was at the mic. Lot of changes since then, LOL! Have seen the Hogarth line up a few times now, and the band always puts on a great tight show. The vocals seem a bit harsher though, or maybe it was where I was seated. But maybe not, as the guitar solos soared loud and clear. In any case, a great show. The fans loved it.
One of the best UK progressive rock bands who've been around for nearly 40 years! Great music, performance, interaction and acoustics that were appreciated by a capacity crowd. Good vibe!
