    Martin Short is Hilarious!

by Dynamo on 2009-07-27River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Laughed out loud and enjoyed the evening watching Martin Short prance around the stage with his witty humour and vivacious characters! To top it off, his singing voice was a wonderful surprise and he belts out such a variety...from comedy to heartfelt songs...A memorable evening and I am sure glad I went! Thanks Martin Short for coming to Edmonton...you are a classic...

    Good show

by Afik on 2009-07-27River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

It took awhile to get going between an opening act and then for Martin to get in groove, but he is still going good moves like a twenty year old and is good. It was good to see that he used short clips from his movies to get some rest and then to link his stage material with what was just shown on the screen. We were glad that we attended.

    Non-Stop Laughter!

by Deenie on 2009-07-27River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Mind-blowing to think that the spritely gentleman on stage prancing, leaping, gyrating and singing with an 'oh so powerful' voice is 59 years of age. Martin Short has the energy of a man in his early twenties and has not lost any of his ability to entertain. I laughed from start to finish and would have loved to have seen more, but may have ruptured something internally if his act had gone on any longer. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of "Ed Grimley" -- my personal favourite, and would have enjoyed seeing "Brian Linehan", but there was no shortage of Martin Short's hilarious repertoire of characters. A great way to celebrate my 58th birthday!

Martin Short was simply amazing at the River Cree

by bozzy on 2009-07-27River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Martin Short is charasmatic, and really knows how to play a audience as seen last night ( July 26th) at the River Cree Casino. He commenced with chatting to the Audience, and his pianist from LA, played the piano superb! Martin , has a pretty good voice when he sang, , but managed to play a few of his characters from Saturday Night Live. On stage , when he played Jimmy" the interveiwer' , Linda Steele from Edmonton Global news, was the person that " Jmmy" interviewed. As usual he had the audience in tears from laughter. Martin , being a true Canadian, a Hamilton Ontario boy, sang bits of O Canada, stating how he began his true comedian acts, from his home in the attic.. Here he would practice , and pactice , with some of his acts. Martin did state to the audience that some of the things that he was going to talk about could be the truth or not... The show ended at approx. 9:40 pm, ending with song OH Canada and flag, shown on the screens. but the audience wanted more including myself, so after the encore , Martin arrived on stage again, playing again for another 10 minutes or so. Well worth the time to see this gentleman in action!

Very slick show with lots of laughs and music. The clips of previous characters were a nice bonus.
