Both bands were great, sounded amazing and I enjoyed it a lot. Seats were decent, although couldn't see the stage really well as we were quite far from it. Overall was a great show though.

    Wet & WOW

by Shaggydog39 on 2017-09-19Treasure Island Resort & Casino - WELCH

Arrived at the venue knowing there was a risk of rain and thunderstorms. Counting Crows was phenomenal with their last song of the set being "Rain King". Fitting that half way through that song the rain broke out and turned into a full blown thunderstorm. When the song was over all of the equipment was covered up and fans were asked to seek cover until the storm passed. Half an hour later the rain stopped and everyone re-entered the venue. Soon after Matchbox 20 started their set and WOW, blew us away with all of their hits. Everyone was standing and singing for the entire show. We had an outstanding time with all of the friendly locals partying and singing. We were all soaked with wet feet but totally worth every minute! One of the funnest concerts I have ever been to in my life! Been waiting to see Matchbox forever ! We have to see these guys again and again! Loved it !!!

    No Video Monitors!!! Beware!!

by TrackManiac on 2017-07-31Rogers Place - Edmonton

Matchbox 20 still has it. The jury is out on Counting Crows. Couldn't believe there was a complete lack of video monitors in a 20,000 seat arena.

    Vulgarity/Profanity

by BrandyB on 2017-07-23Rogers Place - Edmonton

Ive waited 20 years to see these bands. The music was great and the moving set/lighting was really cool. (Would have liked a big screen so we could see the performers better) The vulgar/profane chit chat between songs really put a damper on things for me. Adam Duritz (Counting Crows lead) went on a vulgar rant and dropped the F-bomb more times than I can count. I wasn't super close to the stage but Adam Duritz seemed detached from his songs or so it felt. I was expecting a more sincere performance. Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20 lead) was a breath of fresh air, but managed to F-bomb multiple times himself. Otherwise Rob Thomas was really positive and upbeat and really into the show, and interacted with the crowd really well. (Moved to all sides of stage) I may sound like a prude, but I don't see how vulgarity/profanity builds up a show in any way. I think a little more self discipline and professionalism during crowds talks could go a long way. As much as I love (and seriously LOVED in the college years) these bands, I can't say that I'm inclined at all to see either of them again. :(

    Bucket List Item Completed!

by OldRockerChick on 2017-07-21Rogers Place - Edmonton

Matchbox Twenty was on my bucket list and has now been checked off with a really big check-mark! What a performance, hit after hit after hit! I think I just saw the Best Of...What a wonderful memory I have now! In top form! However, I was expecting screens to see band up close but I guess the new stadium won't allow screens or forgot to add that to their expense design! Thanks MB 20!

    Duritz awful, matchbox amazing

    by Van8 on 2017-07-19Rogers Place - Edmonton

I bought the tickets, because I really wanted to see the counting crows. Adam Duritz is now one of the top two worst live performers, I have ever seen. He couldn't keep in tune with his band, nor could he reach the notes. Matchbox 20, was amazing. Great sound and in tune with each other. Rob Thomas is still a great performer as he was 20 years ago.
