4hrs concert with 3 bands Rivers & Rust were absolutely awesome. I downloaded their album during the concert and can't wait for new release this year. Counting Crows were disappointing considering I'm a fan. Music was good but Adam Duritz freestyled the melodies making many songs unrecognizable. Matchbox 20 were absolutely phenomenal. Best concert I have seen second to Rob Thomas solo concert a couple years ago.
Didn't care too much about Counting Crows, they were hard to hear sometimes and unfortunately I only knew a few songs. Matchbox Twenty however put on an amazing show as always! Rob Thomas' energy is always high and he's so personable and interactive with the crowds. Loved every minute they were on stage.
Please don't wait 20 years before coming back again. Epic concert. #MatchboxTwentyVIP
Best concert I've ever been to. Matchbox Twenty was amazing. Counting Crows we're so-so, but MB20 more ham made up for it.
My only negative comment is to the jerk in the row behind us who doesn't like Counting Crows and proceeded to talk through it. Shut up because we love them! My first time seeing Matchbox Twenty in person - Rob Thomas was incredible. Someone mentioned on the way out that they wanted to hear Counting Crows like they heard them on the radio. They must not know Adam Duritz - he is constantly changing it around. That's what makes Counting Crows!
'A brief history of everything' show was spectacular. It wad incredible seeing two iconic bands from the past that have loved since I knew what music was on the same stage in the same night. Wish they had have both had longer sets, but that made the most of their time on stage.
Awesome concert... Counting Crows were good and Matchbox 20 couldn't have been awesomer... yes - awesomer lol
Matchbox 20 is an amazing band.. we were in section 205, row 5. Sound was the worst I have ever heard at any concert...ever. I dont believe the speaker was on in front of our section. There was feedback and echo, whether the band was singing or talking, to the point where you could sometimes not understand what they were saying. Several people left mid-way into the set. There were gaps of seats opening up everytime the lights went up a bit. When I got up midshow for a break, i went down to the lower bowl and the sound was much much better. This was a sound issue, not a band issue. Disappointing.
Matchbox 20 was really good! I wish they would have had big screens though so we could see them from the nosebleeds. Sound for the opening bands was not good at all.
One of best concerts I have seen this year!!!..... would go see everyday!!! Great Concert
I've been a fan of both of these bands since I was a child, I remember growing up through the 90s and 2000s on music from both of them among others. I've always wanted to see these guys play, particularly Matchbox. Having the Counting Crows as a lead up to Matchbox Twenty seemingly made a concert I was going to attend anyway just that much better, but if anything took away from the experience. I've never witnessed a band phone it in so badly before. I'm not sure if Duritz was drunk or what was happening, but he didn't even sing most of his songs. Mr Jones is a fan favourite that was among the worst performances of the night. We should have had a couple extra rounds of drinks at the pub before showing up to Rogers ($10 for a can of beer by the way) and saved ourselves the disappointment. The Counting Crows have been around for over two decades now, but having seen their terrible effort to perform live I don't know what makes them relevant anymore. Now onto Matchbox Twenty. Rob Thomas and crew killed it from start to finish. Every bit of every song was sung with passion. It was a huge relief after the ghastly act that preceded them. All of the classics made it out for this performance and they were all more or less perfect, none of that having the crowd sing the vocally difficult parts of the song nonsense that so many bands seem to slide into. If Matchbox toured four more times I would do what I could to see them at all four opportunities, they are truly great performers.
Counting Crows were not great, they didn't play many hit and the few they did, they changed the arrangement so it wasn't that enjoyable. It was kind of boring. Then Matchbox Twenty hit the stage and everything got pumped up. Rob Thomas has great stage presence and they played great songs the entire time. His voice sounded clear and perfect and the music was well done. I didn't want the show to end.
Counting Crows were not great they did not play some of their more memorable songs. Also, I think that Adam Duritz was drunk or high as he was stumbling quite a bit on the stage and I thought he for sure was going to fall off the stage. To top it all off the music to mic was way off I could hardly hear the words as they were overpowered by the music. Which may be a good thing since he changed the words on some of his songs AKA (Mr. Jones). Although the Counting Crows did not live up to the expectation, Matchbox 20 exceeded it. They were incredible So much energy on the stage and they sounded great. I knew 95% of the songs they played and Rob Thomas killed it!
Fantastic. They played ALL their hits. So amazing!
Sound for Counting Crows at this event was not very clear. The sound became much better with Matchbox Twenty. I felt that I definitely got my money's worth on this show. 4 hours of entertainment was amazing.
RIver & Rust was really good, but we were there for Counting Crows and Matchbox 20. These 2 bands with 20+ years know how to bring the show to the fans! Great music! Rob Thomas really has incredible energy as he sang 22 songs, draws all the fans in and makes you want to keep going after 3+ hours have gone by. You will not be disappointed!
Great songs, great performance by both bands. Definitely recommend!
Amazing concert!!! Took 20 years to see them and worth the wait.
Counting Crows rocked it but Matchbox put on the concert of a life! The energy and electricity in the building was out of control! Recommend this concert to everyone!
