I go to a lot of concerts and I have never seen a better vocalist than Matisyahu. Easily one of the best concert experiences of my life. I would fly anywhere to see this guy again. It was trancendent. I really hope he returns to calgary. Also the venue(Flames central) was the perfect size and layout.
what a great concert. always a great energy on stage, amazing sound. planning a trip to California and we will see him there too!! not even a week apart! this is a need to see performer if you love the reggae scene!
The show was extremely fun and entertaining. Matisyahu and his band are very very talented and most of all, FUN!

This show was so amazing, I've ALWAYS wanted to see Matisyahu and I was NOT disappointed!! He's amazing and fun to watch, dancing around the stage....it's great! And his music is so great, he really brings a message with his music. The opening band, Dub Trio, was a little too LOUD for my liking...but then when they started playing WITH him it was ok. I HOPE he comes back to Alberta!!! It is DEFINITELY worth watching!
Music was outstanding. Drummer was unbelievable. Matisyahu gave up for the crowd, right at the front of the stage, connected, and stayed connected.
Intimate and mystic journey into Matisyahu's musical world. accompanied by some extremely talented musicians. proud to see some Canadians playing with him. the drummer was outstanding. Matis has great stage presence.
Matisyahu packed the night full of awe inspiring music. He was highly energetic and jumping and dancing with the crowd, it was the best concert I've ever attended.
Amazing concert! Third time i've seen him play in Toronto and easily the best. I liked the addition of playing with the Dub Trio
Over all it was a good concert. We got to listen to two songs of the upcoming new album. I was quite hyped after reading the reviews regarding the pre-ceding concerts in the previous cities and seeing the potential song lineup. I was expecting a bit more than what i got. The act started 15-20 minutes late and ended almost on time. I'm not sure if this was the reason why some songs were not part of the performance i.e. Jerusalem or if it was due to the interminable instrumentals performed by the band that gave me the impression that this was more of a jam session between friends and for the benefit of the stoned (the smell of maria was quite predominant during the entire performance) members of the audience that a real proper gig. Seriously is great to know that the band can play and they were amazing but 5-6 minutes instrumentals per song is pushing the envelope a bit too much. That time could have been used to play a couple more songs for the benefit of the crowd. It ended dissappointly with just one song played as an encore instead of the 2-3 i've seen listed in other venues. Maybe they really had to be done by 10:45 but it felt like very little and i was a bit put off that it ended in such a cold way. I will still go and see Matisyahu due to the quality of his lyrics and the message he sends out but if I want to hear never ending instrumentals (i.e. jam session) I'll invite my mates over for beers. it will be cheaper that paying $100.00 for two tickets.
These guys have so much potential. They are excellent musicians - in song writing and playing, but for some reason they chose to remix and prolong the songs which was somewhat unfamiliar to the average fan. The crowd (at least from what I saw) did not get what they came for. Matis can really excite everyone if only he interacted with the crowd. For some reason he chose to close his eyes and let the show pass. They also did not play some songs that everyone were waiting for (like Jerusalem), which was a major disappointment. First and last time for me.
