    Maxwell was AMAIZING!

by KisaKane on 2009-09-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

It has been by far the best concert i've been to and i've been to a few. Common Rocked and Maxwell left everyone speachless. I wish i can see it again, and again, and again :)

Maxwell was a sensual sexy songbird

by SIM1 on 2009-09-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The concert was amazing, I would recommend for sure. I was surprised to not see a full house, that was o.k. though, more of Maxwell to go around. Common was amazing too, his freestyle to commemorate HIP HOP was off the chain! I didn't however get the opportunity to see Chrisette Michelle...I got to the ACC late, But overall 10's!

This was truly one of the most memorable concert I have ever been to. Mawell gave an unforgettable perforemance, truly an incredible artist who knows his craft. I was up and grooving to every song. This was an amazing show!

    Maxwell at ACC

by Holmes32 on 2009-09-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The band was tight, the set was great and Common who opened did a great job getting the audience hyped. Maxwell had a good entrance and the first few numbers were very good except that the band overpowered his vocals. By the about his fifth song it was clear that he had no high notes. This was a dissapointment and some songs just didn't work with half a voice. Overall great night but not memorable.

    Music for the Soul!!!

by sho12 on 2009-09-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

As soon as I came to the ACC gate, I could feel Maxwell's spirit all around the centre. I almost had tears. His two opening acts ( Chrisette Michele & Common) were amazing. Maxwell's performance was beyond my expectation. He was so energetic and could tell that he was excited to be with us in Toronto. It was obvious that he has great passion for music and just loves to perform. The scenary in the background was beautiful. All the things that Maxwell felt passionate about reflected in the background scenary, that is, his love for nature, animals, Africa, his father, and people in general. At times I just sat there and found myself lost in his music. I could not believe I was there in the same room as Maxwell. Not only is he beautiful but his music is definitely for the soul. I enjoyed every second of the concert. Thank you, Maxwell!!!

    Great Show

by Fabforty on 2009-09-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Great show all around. Chrisette Michele's voice was amazing. She should be headlining her own show. Common brought the house to it's feet rocking the old school hip hop. Maxwell put on a great performance inspite of his hoarseness. He is a great entertainer.

Maxwell; Long awaited new album, worth the wait

by Moongem on 2009-07-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Though this concert was poorly advertised, the turnout was fantastic (better than I thought) and the setting at the Centre could not have been more perfect for such a gifted vocalist/musician/artist. I have been patiently waiting for the M's return and did not think he'd ever get to Vancouver. Am I grateful he did. He oozes sensuality and can remind you what it's like to be lost in the moment. I thank the dear lord that I got to hear/see him perform. Though many songs are ballads and not really danceable, he had the crowd on their feet several times during the evening as he delved into some classics sprinkled with several new masterpieces. He was boyishly charming and fully into the music and the crowd. Would definitely fly to another city to see him again and likely will.

    Maxwell never disappoints!

by bsl82 on 2009-07-20Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Maxwell always puts on a good show, I'm never worried about that. His shows are always full of energy and of course his voice is just beautiful. My only problem this time around was that the show, in Buffalo, started late. The ticket time was 7:30, the show didn't start til 8 with the opening act, Chrisette Michelle. She sang til about 8:30 and then we had to wait til 9:30 for Maxwell to come on. Wasn't too thrilled about that. But everything else was okay, it was a good concert.

Maxwelll showed up and turhed it out!

by ESPG on 2009-07-20Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

I've gone to see Maxwell 3 times now and Maxwell keeps on getting better and better. To see him open his mouth and have it sound like I just put in his CD is not a something that all artists can pull off. To have an artist show that his band is just as influential in regards to the overall importance of the "experience" is something that I've seen other artist push to the side but not Maxwell. He was giving "props" to his band all night and they deserved it. Maxwell does NOT disappoint. He is genuine, he is more than talented and his swagger is beyond description. If you have not taken the chance to see this man, please do so. The only downside is that it will be hard to take in another artist live after seeing this masterpiece. Love you Maxwell!!

    Maxwell was ELECTRIC!

by firjan on 2009-07-17The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Lots of energy. He certainly can move! Had a great time. Only thing is I wish he sang a couple of his best songs, ie-"Let's not play the game".

    Maxwell: Incredible

by BigSexeeKC on 2009-07-16The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

After 7 years hiatus, you would think the man lost his touch but oh no! He sounds better than ever, woo'ing both men and women with this smooth lyrical voice and music. Playing both old hits and new upcoming songs from his new album, Maxwell still has the touch, and holds tight to the title of Neo-Soul King. So happy the man is back and better than ever. Truly one word to describe his show in Vancouver: INCREDIBLE. Can't wait to see him again!

Maxwell back after 8 year hiatus!

by shanayze on 2009-07-16The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The concert was incredible! Maxwell played a great mix of songs from his previous albums as well as a few from his new album to give everyone a taste of whats to come but not enough where the audience lost interest due to the unfamiliarity of the songs. Loved the show and looking forward to seeing him again some time soon hopefully!

It don't get better than a Maxwell show

by MIQQI on 2009-07-16The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Was in Vancouver - flew there especially to watch Maxwell. Had seen his show last year too when the Sullivan gal was his opening act, I thought she wasn't a good fit ith Maxwell and I am glad they realised this. Laura Izibor opened and she was simply bewitching! Great way to set the mood for the Man himself. He came and didnt dissapoint, with a Maxwell show, its all about the music...I mean the man moves across the stage like a seasoned pro , his voice is better than ever and the BAND!!! - the best band I have seen. They are great and feed off Maxwell's energy..all in all, I will be there for every other concert of this guy for as long as I can breathe.

    If you weren't convinced before...

by SMC27 on 2009-07-15The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Maxwell rocked the house, man. He got a little nasty (to the delight of every woman in the crowd) with things like laying down on the stage when singing ,"girl, get on top of me." And lyrics like, "get on the table, I'mma eat you up." And telling the guys that, "if you can't get no ass after my show..." But musically speaking, absolutely amazing. He somehow manages to keep the things that people love about his recorded songs, but revamp them and rework them a little for the live show. It worked seamlessly. Highlights were Pretty Wings (of course; how much do I love that song?), Lifetime, and a couple new songs that I cannot wait to have recordings of. Most notably, Cold. I actually said to my friend today when she asked me what I expected, "It's going to be awesome. And R&B bands are always tight as hell, too." This band did not make a liar of me. Incredible musicians, all independently talented. Together? Forget it. I had chills all night. And the ticket to this show was only $25! Steal. I would have paid much, much more. Much more.

    MAXWELL IS BRILLIANT!!!!!

by bahar on 2009-07-15The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

this was one of the most amazing shows I have ever been to. His voice was flawless live, he didnt miss a beat, great entertainer, and he was actually VERY funny in between songs. If they were having a second show the next night, I would pay another $75.00 to see it AGAIN. the opening act was really good too...can't remember her name, but was very lauryn hill-esque
