Meatloaf was so passionate and personable!

by Brendaloaf on 2013-11-01Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

WOW! Meatloaf is so amazing! He sings with such passion and seeing him so up close you could just tell how much he loves his fans. He was humble, funny and so sweet, the world is a better place with him and his music in it!

    Just ok

by JB49 on 2013-10-28Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

The back up singers were obviously trying to save the show. Too much for meatloaf to do now.

Don't waste your money on Meatloaf

by batoutofhell on 2013-10-23Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

There is so much to do in Vegas so don't put this on your list. Given what we paid for the tickets I might as well have put the money into a slot machine. The sound was terrible and the band drowned out meatloaf. The questions were staged and the show itself felt like a high school production. He tries very hard to sing but it doesn't work for the number of songs he does. Even the bats in the ceiling didn't come down which I thought may have saved some of the "live concert" feel. They won't allow any video or photos - no wonder as you certainly would not go if you saw them! If the tickets were half price then I would not feel so bad but at full price you feel taken advantage of.

    Meatloaf was AWFUL!

by Annabelle55 on 2013-10-17Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

He can barely walk and you can't hear his voice over the back up singers. Time for Meatloaf to retire not worth the time or money spent.

    Please don't waste your money!

by Anonymous on 2013-10-08Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

Meatloaf can no longer sing. Was very disappointed and felt sad for him. The "Vegas " show gimmicks were lame. The question period about his life and the girl singers were only thing that made it bearable.

    Love Meatloaf!!

by Sanna on 2013-10-05Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

Doesn't compare to Meatloaf'sVancouver performance in concert from a few yrs ago. But in fairness Vegas shows and concerts are very different venues. But loved the show just the same. Would of loved more from Bat out of Hell. But timing is way more limited in a Vegas show. Had excellent seats. Enjoyed the question/answer period. Enjoyed listening to Meatloaf's personal stories. . Was up and personal! All in all, very enjoyable show. Would definitely recommend the show

    Loaf of Meat

by DancingMachine on 2013-10-04Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

Meat loaf was not that great unfortunately. His voice has had it. I couldn't hear him at times and he was a second or two behind in the song at times. I got to give the guy an A+ though for performance. He does give it his all. "Hot Patootie" & "Bat Out of Hell" were probably his best performances of the night. I would classify him as an actor who can sing instead of a singer who can act. I think he has said the same about himself a few times. His band is fantastic and really carry the show. However, the show could have been longer for the price of the ticket. They really seemed like an arena band and so the small venue was a bit of a flawed adaptation for their sound. The Q&A portion of the show was dumb as most of the time Meat didn't really answer the question the audience member asked so it seemed pointless. Instead he would tell a story using his iPad that led into the next song. There were a few technical difficulties (this was only the 3rd show so that is to be expected) including his fumbling with the iPad, showing videos sequentially and with finding his earpiece. About 6 questions were asked in total. I never asked a question myself. The venue is quite small, which I didn't think it would be looking at the seating chart on ticketmaster. There is no seat too far from the stage in terms of a good view. Unfortunately Ol' Meat is past his prime, but great to see a legend give it his all.

    MeatLoaf

by disappointedfan2222 on 2013-10-03Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

TERRIBLE, I love MeatLoaf but was not the only one who considered walking out! Hardly sang any songs, maybe six or seven and not Two Out of Three as advertised! Overall performance, singing and stage presence....terrible. Total waste of money, would not recommend at all! If you closed your eyes and just listened you would never have known it was MeatLoaf! Also spent a lot of time messing with an iPad / tablet to use answering questions, it just didn't work! Shows also advertised in such a way it's made to sound like a show telling the life of MeatLoaf, kinda Jersey Boys style...nope nothing like that at all. Awful, such a shame as he used to be amazing :(

    Yikes

by TimmyCanada on 2013-09-29Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

We went in with big hopes..Meat was fun to see from a nostalgia point of view but the show lacked any splash. He is trying to tie it all together with audience interaction and using an Ipad..it didn't work well the video and audio was choppy and not synced well. Took away. Then when you find out the show is 1 1/2 hours you wished he sang more instead of trying to make things work. The pro's.. the background singers and dancers are great... the music side the band could use better sound and volume. The solos and riffs by the lead guitar were a little muted considering they were supposed to be the highlights. I give Meat a break for it being his opening night when we were there....I guess it can only get better as our feedback rolls in and he realizes his own gaffes. One song he lost his earpiece..and it was very obvious he needed it, as he kept groping around for it. The seats are great..everything will feel up close. To the many who were up to "ask questions" he was rude not to acknowledge the people who did not ask the questions he expected from his Facebook polls. He even went on to ignore and not answer many questions... Happy Birthdays galore for the following day...from the crowd, but not the questionshe wanted or rehearsed for..he came across as miffed. Many in the crowds upon leaving felt disappointed by the experience..he can't belt out the tunes like he used to at his age... Maybe we shouldn't have watched Elton 2 nights prior..now there's a professional showman......might be time to pack it in after this stint.

    Meatloaf. Was terrible

by purky on 2012-08-02The Seneca Allegany Events Center at Seneca Allegany Casino - Salamanca

Someone really needs to tell this guy to stop singing. The band was amazing on drums, guitar, piano, keyboard, and saxophone. His chick also was outstanding, but his singing was terrible. Although I was disappointed with his voice, hats off to the old guy for performing non stop for two hours.

    Meatloaf was great

by Kimmmi on 2011-08-07DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

The show was great but the seats were not so good. The way the stage was set up they had about eight feet of the side of the stage closed in so if you sat along the side as we did you could see very little

    Meatloaf was memorable!

by beebeemurr on 2011-03-27Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Meatloaf can still rock! I could not count the number of concerts I have attended. But some stand out in my mind more than others. This will be one of them. He had the entire audience on foot, singing to the classics we all remember so well. The band was amazing, as were the back up vocals. This concert will remain one of my favorites for many years to come, I'm sure.

    Meatloaf

by Leeney on 2011-03-25Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

This has to be the worst concert I have ever paid for. The price was extremely high for what you got. He was sickly and unable to perform properly. He had a root cancel done that day that he went on and on about. He should have cancelled the concert or at least given 3/4 the money back. We were up front at the stage and could barley hear him sing, kept telling him to turn up the mike. When the female artist was singing her mike was also turned too low like it wasn't on at all. Overall, unimpressed and an extreme waist of my good money. I feel we should be compensated for this. I turned down Bon Jovi for this.

    meatloaf was a disappointment

by BIGDISAPPOINT on 2011-03-23Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

the band was fabulous, and his one song bat out of hell was good. But all in all the voice i came to hear was not there, the singing was flat and out of tune and we could not hear the lyrics. I know he was not well that day (he said a dental appointment for a bad tooth and he could not feel his tongue or lips). We paid over $200.00 for our evening only to come away very disappointed with the show. The sound system for the event was not good and he was straining to sing and it showed. I love meatloaf's voice and it definitely was not what it used to be. Would not go again

    Meat Loaf Was Very Entertaining!

by runner1 on 2011-03-21Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Meat Loaf gave the audience what they wanted. He performed his classic hits along with a set of songs from his latest album, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, during his two hour concert. Meat Loaf had great interaction with the audience and even invited the audience to gather around the stage during his performance. Despite a trip to the dentist for a root canal earlier in the day and with his lips and tongue still numb, Meat Loaf still sounded great and gave a very entertaining show. Near the end of the concert, Meat Loaf fired t-shirts into the audience.

Great show!! Great band! Really liked the oldies off the "Bat out of Hell" album. Overall a great performance lasting over 2 hours and coming from a 63 year old singer with a tooth ache!! Thanks for hanging in there!!
