About

Industrial metal pioneers Ministry bring their synth pop heavy repertoire to Download 2020. Fourteen studio albums since their inception in 1981, including their seminal LPs Twitch, The Land Of Rape and Honey and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and their mainstream breakthrough LP Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs, have cemented Ministry as one of the most consistent prolific heavy artists of modern times. With a new line up, incredibly full sound, and some might say a return to the roots of Ministry, the band is prepared to release a record that is socially relevant and sonically effective.

Darkcell are one of Australia's fastest rising acts and will open for Ministry in their hometown. Formed in Brisbane in 2012, the band has performed over 220 shows to date. Packing stadium level hooks and a loud, abrasive and industrial rock sound, they have been tagged as a ‘modern day Kiss’. Larger than life stage show, party vibes and dance grooves give a fun atmosphere and keep fans coming back for more.

Excellent spectacle… mais le son était beaucoup trop fort.

by Dragon on 2024-03-21MTELUS - Montreal

by Rekain on 2024-03-21MTELUS - Montreal

Solid job with this very legendary concert

    by dr0id.h4rm0ny on 2024-03-20MTELUS - Montreal

No complaints. Truly hassle free getting into the venue. The changeovers between the three bands could have been a total mess, but the delay was minimal.

    Ministry at History

by MT killer! on 2024-03-19History - Toronto

History is a very good venue. It was a good show. Had a great time, beers a little bit expensive. The sound is awesome. Ministry is still killing it! Love some of the new stuff too.

    Wall of sound

by ben on 2024-03-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Ministry at The Burt with Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly was brilliant. The venue was beautiful and it looked like there were no bad seats. Ministry was louder than any band I’d ever seen in concert - so loud several other people were seen to wince at the sound pressure levels.

    Absolutely stellar show.

by James on 2024-03-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Extremely up beat show. Front Line Assemble arrived strong and loud. Strong show show followed by Gary Numan. This was Gary’s 66 birthday which provided a neat mid show celebration. Totally stole the show. Such a powerful set and very long. It was epic. Ministry was excellent as always. Although the new album had not been released yet, which in my experience is very rare, it was still an outstanding show. All in all myself and my peoples had a fantastic night.

Excellent show, not as excellent venue

by Gdubbz on 2024-03-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Frontline Assembly opened (set list could have been more appealing but is a personal favorite) Gary Numan was stellar. Ministry was great, guitars were on the sharper end but all bands sounded amazing! Wish closing track was Ricky's Hand with Gary but still very pleased with each act and their sets. Stage show for each band was great, and each had a mixed variety of lighting, songs, and performance. No complaints at all on the bands! The venue was good but our seats were not. Tiny, cramped, back row and the heat was unbearable at times, despite the ceiling fans and exit doors ajar. Can't say I'll ever purchase balcony tickets again, even if all others were sold out. Who fits in these tiny seats, horse jockeys?! Merch area while still accessible, was split into two areas, in the lobby of the venue. A little congested and in need of crowd control. They managed with what they could. Loved seeing vinyl records at the merch table, and bought a signed copy from FLA. Did not see any at the Numan/Ministry table though. Overall, a solid show, but that venue really, really, really could use seating redesign. I paid money to be a human contortionist for 3 hours. Yes, I know it's been this way for decades, but let's be realistic, most Winnipegers are not 4 foot tall midgets with infantile legs. Time to upgrade. The seats, not our legs.
