About

Industrial metal pioneers Ministry bring their synth pop heavy repertoire to Download 2020. Fourteen studio albums since their inception in 1981, including their seminal LPs Twitch, The Land Of Rape and Honey and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and their mainstream breakthrough LP Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs, have cemented Ministry as one of the most consistent prolific heavy artists of modern times. With a new line up, incredibly full sound, and some might say a return to the roots of Ministry, the band is prepared to release a record that is socially relevant and sonically effective.

Darkcell are one of Australia's fastest rising acts and will open for Ministry in their hometown. Formed in Brisbane in 2012, the band has performed over 220 shows to date. Packing stadium level hooks and a loud, abrasive and industrial rock sound, they have been tagged as a ‘modern day Kiss’. Larger than life stage show, party vibes and dance grooves give a fun atmosphere and keep fans coming back for more.

    Wall of sound

by ben on 2024-03-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Ministry at The Burt with Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly was brilliant. The venue was beautiful and it looked like there were no bad seats. Ministry was louder than any band I’d ever seen in concert - so loud several other people were seen to wince at the sound pressure levels.

    Absolutely stellar show.

by James on 2024-03-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Extremely up beat show. Front Line Assemble arrived strong and loud. Strong show show followed by Gary Numan. This was Gary’s 66 birthday which provided a neat mid show celebration. Totally stole the show. Such a powerful set and very long. It was epic. Ministry was excellent as always. Although the new album had not been released yet, which in my experience is very rare, it was still an outstanding show. All in all myself and my peoples had a fantastic night.

by Spinnerdunn on 2024-03-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Great atmosphere as soon as we go there , a lot of older rowdy guys tho for for reason. Anyways Gary Numan blew us away , what an amazing show he put on for us. We thought Ministry was good too , Al may have nailed it in a little but all in all a great show.

Gary Numan Rocked, Ministry Not So Much...

by Johnny Dee on 2024-03-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Gary Numan's set was excellent. One of the best live performances I've ever seen! He had the crowd in the palm of his hand and got a standing ovation. Front Line Assembly were also amazing! Great stage show and great sound. Ministry's set was very lacklustre. Their new songs are especially terrible, "Just Stop Oil"was a particularly hilarious lowpoint. They used tracked vocals and sometimes Al didn't even have the mic in front of his mouth to properly lipsynch. Most of their songs are just him yelling a slogan over and over again. Sound was bad. Not impressive at all.

You could literally feel the music that night

by Mark M on 2024-03-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Ministry did not disappoint. The band was tight, and the music was loud and heavy. You could feel the music in your chest. The new album was dominant to start the show, I didn't mind, the songs were heavy and had meaning. They didn't disappoint when they played their older material and the crowd was driven into a frenzy. It was the loudest concert I have ever been to.

    Hard!

by Kakekaze on 2024-03-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Industrial electronic metal - what more can you ask for at such a great venue. The double kick drums were hard! The synths were warm. The guitars rocked!

The show in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom was a perfect venue to see this tour. With Front Line Assembly, Gary Numan (yea) and Ministry , the music was electric and the sold out crowd just were into it. Ministry did a great set and had 2 encores The whole night was beyond fantastic

    Positively cataclysmic excellence!

by Pat on 2024-03-06Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Never disappoints, until the show is actually over. You can never get enough of such a great thing. The band members are always surprising gems and legends, and Al is a permanent fixture on the throne of excellence, and never outclassed. Always look forward to the classics. I never want to miss a Ministry show, Just One serious Fix!!

    Amazing show .. great venue

by Kent on 2024-03-06Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

All bands and venue were in fine form . Great show and on time . Quick changes between all bands. The commodore could make a tonne of money selling drinks from the security row between sets. Front row GA tough to go back to the bar and lose your space . They were giving out water but would have loved a beer between Ministry and Numan . Or even a white claw … lol
