About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

  • Motionless In White Electrifies at Upscale Rebel Venue

by JFM on 2023-10-31REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

So, you missed Motionless In White's gig at Rebel? That's a bummer, because it was a full-throttle metal experience you would've loved. First off, Chris Motionless was the star of the show, hands down. The guy's got a voice that can move mountains and a stage presence that's out of this world. The rest of the band wasn't slacking either; they were on point, contributing to a solid performance that left the audience wanting more. On the flip side, the opening acts were pretty meh. They weren't awful but did little more than serve as placeholders until the main event kicked off. Now, about Rebel Venue—it's typically known for its more elite vibe, which made it an unexpected but refreshing choice for a metal gig. The place was spotless, a far cry from your stereotypical metal venues. As for the sound, it was acceptable, not stellar, but it didn't dampen the experience. So if you're wondering why Motionless In White is gaining traction in the metal scene, it's because of nights like this. Chris's magnetic charisma and the band's killer set make it clear they're on the path to bigger and better things. Don't miss them next time. Rock on,

I went to see Knocked Loose and they KILLED it. Alpha Wolf was great as well. Motionless in White is not exactly my cup of tea, but they put on a good show and sounded great live. Really great experience and reasonably priced tickets!

  • MIW is fantastic, VENUE sucks

by NicoleB on 2023-10-30REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

MIW show was fantastic. The venue Rebel is the worst for a show like this. The location is horrible, no transit, and taxis/ubers get gridlocked because of the street and construction.

  • Always perfection

I love you Motionless in White, haven't skipped a toronto date since 2013

  • Super show

Le son etait parfait, la voix de Chris impeccable du debut jusqu’a la fin, impressionnant d’avoir du souffle apres 18 chansons. Super show!
