MOTLEY CRUE IN CONCERT:

After more than three decades of headbanging, heavy metal bad boys Motley Crue announced that 2015’s The Final Tour would be their last ever, giving fans one final opportunity to see Tommy Lee and company in the flesh before the curtain falls for good. The band has always been a revered live act for their showmanship and over-the-top performances, but their 2013 shows were their biggest and fieriest yet, featuring pyrotechnics beyond fans’ wildest dreams – including the late Nikki Sixx’s legendary flamethrower bass. With 72 North American dates in 2014 and international dates to follow, the Crue are doing it big in true form, burning bright to the very last guitar solo.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in LA in 1981 by guitarist Nikki Six and drummer Tommy Lee, Motley Crue was quickly rounded out with the addition of lead guitarist Mick Mars and singer Vince Neil. The band became notorious in the early ‘80s for their glam image and hard partying lifestyle, but it was 1983 sophomore album Shout at the Devil that made them international superstars. 1985’s Theatre of Pain and 1987’s Girls, Girls, Girls would prove even more successful, spawning ‘80s hard rock staples like “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” and “Home Sweet Home.” With 100 million albums sold worldwide, Motley Crue endures as one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time, making their 2014 farewell tour a bittersweet last hurrah for their legions of fans.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Motley Crue still rules the rock scene after 30+ years of recording and performing. They played songs from virtually all albums and song selection was sure to please any Motley fan.”

“Motley ALWAYS delivers an amazing show. Seeing the Crue doing what they do best in Sin City couldn't have been any better. The pyro was over-the-top amazing.”

“This Motley Crue concert was the best Crue concert ever. The fire and pyros were awesome. They really outdid themselves. They sounded great too.”

The Dead of Winter, was a great show. If you ignore the piano problems for Tommy the show went perfect. All the best old songs and new ones like S.O.L.A. rocked out.

    The "boys" are back!

by girliefrank on 2010-01-25General Motors Place - Vancouver

Seeing Crue in Vancouver was something I could finally cross off my bucket list. The guys were in fine form and belted out all our favourites. The only down side - wish it was a longer concert!

    Motley Crue sound terrible

by sweetbelle26 on 2010-01-25General Motors Place - Vancouver

I knew most of the songs and even then I couldn't understand half of what they were singing.. then of course, the piano mishap... they can still party down though! Go Crue.

    MOTLEY CRUE CONCERT

by JessieR on 2010-01-25General Motors Place - Vancouver

Airbourne was the opening act and they were awesome, high energy, wicked music. Joe Perry Project was a drag though. The lead singer had no stage presence and he did not fit the role of a rock band singer. I was so bored of that band. Couldnt wait for them to get the hell off the stage. Not even 1 percent good as Aersomith. Motley Crue rocked it. They were incredible as usual. These guys know how to put on a show.

motley crue left the crowd wanting more

by eergellis on 2010-01-25General Motors Place - Vancouver

Thils was my first motley crue concert and i was rather disappointed. Vince sounded like crap for the first few songs and he had the audience do too much of his sihging for him. their set was much too short, leaving out many of their greatest hits. there was no drum solo and there were many equi[ment problems.

    wow!

by notme on 2010-01-25General Motors Place - Vancouver

well I KNEW it was going to be bad when Vince was missing at least every second word and getting the audience to sing most of the chorus to the very first song! And what is with his skipping and prancing on the stage? I saw them last time in 1990. I was 15 then. maybe I was new to this and they could have sucked then. But I can honestly say they REALLY suck now. well at least Vince does. He definately needs a day job, cause his singing career is over! The band was great though. Other then when the piano decided to screw up on them during home sweet home. But that wasn't there fault. I got the tickets for buy one get one free and at $100 for both, it was still too much. Our seats were really good too. Too bad they were wasted on them. although I will say it again, the band was great, they just need a new singer. Because what Vince was doing was NOT singing!

Good show but wish they would have changed there setlist. This is just like the SOLA tour minus two songs..Wish they would do more like carnival tour and do longer show, just about 80 minutes is not enough crue for me!!!

airborne's theatrics were entertaining enough and made up for their 3-chord-osity. JPP was just--wow--sloppy and had a weird front man. weeeird. crue was great. short set (would have been happy to listen to some B-sides), but was still a great performance.

Can't wait for Crue Fest III!

by Melsaddicted on 2009-08-17DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

I did not appreciate that I had to leave the middle of the very long line to return my digital camera and purse to the car. I understand precautions have to be taken, but make the patrons aware before arriving or purchasing the tickets. On the bright side... Crue Fest II surpassed my experience at the first. The second stage was a welcomed addition and I'm sorry for the many people who missed out. Hopefully they continue to have a second stage during the years to come even though the turn out was likely not as strong as they were hoping. I sure enjoyed Cavo and Rev Theory! They exceeded the performance that Theory of a Deadman had. I found them very disappointing...as usual. Godsmack was amazing and I loved Motley Crue's set. I was great to see. I also liked that they used pre-recorded singing quite a bit for Vince Neil. Unformtunately he can't sing like he used to.

    Godsmack ruled the show!!!!!

by PDDispatch on 2009-08-16DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

Godsmack's Sully was unbelievable. He is truly an amazing artist. Motley Crue was very forgettable. They did not impress me. Theory of a Deadman was very good also. Godsmack should have been the feature band not Motley Crue. Next year it should be called Godfest!!!!

    awesome

by millertimeon on 2009-08-16DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

The concert was amazing. Theory of a deadman was great... Godsmack played absolutely FLAWLESSLY, and had us begging for more... and the Crue put on one hell of a stage show...(but then, they always do, they are Motley Crue after all). Tommy Lee was injured so Morgan Rose from Sevendust filled in and did an amazing job. (Tommy Lee still made appearances... playing piano to "Home Sweet Home" with only one hand, passing a bottle of Jager into the crowd etc.) All in all it was an awesome night
