Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

To anyone who hesitates on going.. GO. It was pure bliss. they're amazing.
Phenomenal Concert. They made it a magical night. They rocked out. Never has a band sounded better live than Mumford. They blew me away!
Best outdoor show ever, great use of screens too. Guys did not disappoint and the jam session at the end really showed their passion
I had not heard of Mumford and Sons but I did recognize their music as soon as I heard it. 25,000 other fans had a great time too. I was lucky to win the ticket lottery . Wow. Way to go City Of Surrey and Live Nation. It's a great way to Kick Off Summer. According to Marcus Mumford it was the largest Fan Crowd for them as headliners. Holland Park was fantastic, I enjoyed the music, Stayed out of the way of the crowds. Great location and Mother Nature kept the rain away too. Right next to Skytrain. and a mall. Good luck on your ' Gentleman on The Road Tour' as I hear all dates are already sold out. Nothing beats a LIVE Show!
The venue (Holland Park), quick to get in and quick to get out. All staff were great. The show was awesome, although I couldn't see the stage I could see the large screens above the stage. Wow I find their music moving. Great experience.
OMG! Fabulous concert ... We were right in front (got there early!) .... 25,000 people behind us ... Sound was unbelievable, crowds were well behaved and under control. Security was everywhere ... Well planned event and the weather was beautiful! All around it was the best concert I have ever been to!
mumford and sons hands down were amazing to see live. the concert was incredible, all the bands playing the weight as the final encore capped off a great night. good venue, very calm crowd too, crazy for the band but no other nonsense happened, which was nice.
Love seeing a band who sound even better live ! Was my kids first concert, my teenager thought it was awesome, and my 8 and 9 yr old were ecstatic to see their favorite band! Extra special shout out to some great people in the crowd who made it unforgettable for my two youngest!!!!
The weather was good so the outdoor venue worked out. Excellent concert, good vibe, great times. Just wish it wasn't so packed and we could have got closer... close enough so they'd be larger then matchsticks on a stage.
A great show! Would have liked it at a different venue with a slope going to the stage so you could sit on a blanket on the grass and still see if you wanted to. But it was also great only being a hundred feet away from the band too. Awesome sound and energy for an outdoor show.
was very impressed with the high energy, crowd pleasing band Mumford and Sons. Ive never heard them before but had the opportunity to go so did. I didnt know what to expect but soon into the concert, the first song actually, I became an instant fan. I cant wait to have them come thru Alberta again so I can go and know their songs next time!
Fantastic show! Holland park being Mumford's largest crowd to date- it was an incredible experience. The only downside was it being in the park- seating was NOT assigned and therefore hard to see for anyone in the back. STILL worth it :)
Easily one of the top five concerts I have seen in my life. The whole event had a very easy happy vibe. The music was great! They may even sound better live than they do on record.
Mumford and Sons were amazing live. Excellent quality of musicianship for all of the acts present. The Venue was excellent! Tons of space, food vendors, and so close to two skytrain stations.
Lineups moved quickly. Security was pleasant. Lots of room to dance and move around. The opening band was excellent and a wonderful lead in for Mumford and Sons. Mumford and Sons did not disappoint, from their 1st song to the last... We were quite a ways back from the stage, yet the sound was eexcellent. The only bad thing about this concert was that it had to end!!!
I love Mumford and sons...love love love. I would not hesitate to see them again and again. Holland Park was beautiful but is completely flat therefore making it almost impossible for anyone to see the stage unless you are well over 6 feet tall. The band was amazing, the setting was amazing but being unable to see the band you came to "see" was frustrating.
The best show I've seen yet! Quick set changes between acts. Good opening bands (Mystery Jets, in particular, were great). I was impressed with The lead singer of Mystery Jets playing even though he was on crutches, and Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons played keys with a broken thumb! Mumford sound JUST like on their albums, which is fantastic, and they are SO high energy. I appreciated that they didn't stand around talking a whole lot, and that when they did, they actually made sense and spoke clearly. Marcus Mumford even made a point to pause the show when someone in the crowd needed medical attention, which is really cool. The crowd was so enthusiastic, and Ted Dwane was SO exciting on bass. Overall, just a GREAT, high-energy, amazing show, and I'm so lucky to have seen them live.
Perfect way to kick off the summer - great music - great venue - perfect evening - Amazing fans!
I have been to so many great concerts like Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Korn, U2...the list goes on and on...and I expected that Mumford & Sons was going to be good. But I didn't expect it to be amazing!!!! They are hands down one of THE best bands I have gone to see. The ambience was perfect with the hanging lights, their pitch/harmony was perfect. Super talented multiple instrument playing men. I have had their music playing in my head since the concert. I just absolutely loved it. I was literally smiling from beginning to end of their set, enthralled by the band. I can't wait for them to come back and I hope they do so SOON!!! Provided that I can get tickets, I will be there in the crowd to see them each and every time they come to Edmonton.
What an amazing show! The versatility that each band member displayed and their ability to play a variety of instruments was outstanding. Not only was their love of music and joy in performing together visible, but you could actually FEEL it from your seat. I would love to seem them perform in an outdoor festival such as Folk Fest.
