Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

Excellent concert! First time I have ever seen them, and probably wont be the last! From start to finish it was phenominal!
Overall a great concert. I hadn't listened to them that much before I went, but I'm a much bigger fan now!
best night of my life. best show of my life. i feel complete now. loved every second of it.
BC Lowermainland parks Rock. Keep up the good work Voices in the Park.
They definitely put on a good show! I would see them again in a heartbeat! So worth the wait!
The good - music, weather, lots of food and water, venue close to skytrain. So-so - I found the sound set up was too heavy on the bass so lost the sparkle of the other instruments and voices. Balance got better about half way through. The bad - pushy people, inconsiderate smokers (pot & tobacco). It's a concert, folks! Let's make sure that we can all enjoy the event! Smoke your garbage elsewhere! You don't need to push children out of the way! The worst - trying to find a way back to the hotel (no cabs, no rides, didn't know bus system, too far to walk with small child). Got a cab about 90 minutes after the end.
Mumford and Sons is even better live than in their recordings. Fantastic show. I'd definitely see them again. 25,000 people in Holland Park was a bit of a large crowd, and hard to navigate or move around once you'd found a spot to stand. We were not able to locate our friends, and there were so many people present that cell service went down. That said, organizers and police did a good job of controlling the crowd.
Amazing live!!! I love Mumford & Sons even more now!!
The band has great stage presence! They also mix it up with different instruments and even had a jam session on stage. They paused the show when they noticed that someone had collapsed in the audience until help could arrive. The thing that kept this show from being Amazing was the venue! Sure, it's outdoors and a park and nice ... but for the 25,000 tickets sold, there must have been 15,000 unhappy event go-ers. The field is completely flat, the stage was about 6ft off the ground ... let's just say a lot of people were not able to see what was going on! And Translink "handled" the high volume of people somewhat poorly. I'd definitely go to see Mumford & Sons again, probably not at Holland Park.
Mumford and Sons sounded great, but the Venue, Holland Park, was garbage. There was waaaaaaaaaaay too many people there and I couldnt see at all. So at least I'm happy they sounded great!
Most amazing concert I have ever been to! Really are true gentlemen of the road :) Can't wait to have them back in Vancouver again!! Will definitely be there!
Mumford and Sons biggest show yet... was in a park next to a Best Buy. The city of Surrey did an excellent job transforming a simple park into a 25,000 person festival. The stage was well built and positioned. By the time that Mumford came on stage, the sun was just setting behind the stage and the band was beautifully back-lit. Not knowing anything aside from the radio singles, the sound and video screen setup was perfect enough that I could hear every note and word. Also, all of the food trucks looked amazing. But only 4 Mr. Tubesteaks? Come on!
Excellent Band. Great venue. Superb weather. What more can one say? Come back soon Mumford and Sons!!
Amazing venue - for the amount of people attending the concert - it didn't seem crowded. Very well organized.
The concert was an incredible experience! Mumford and Sons are amazing to see live, better than their recordings even. The venue fell a little short for me, as there was lots of time standing and a massive amount of people. But it was a really great concert, one I would see again.
Had a great time - great uplifting show on a beautifyul spring evening in a great venue. Beergardens were fun, and the crowd was in a very festive mood. The only problems were line ups to get in and a bit of misinformation about blankets which security was not letting people take in....Would have not been fun to find that out after waiting in line for 45 minutes to get in. Will take in this band again, and would venture out to Holland Park again for another concert.....
Great venue and amazing artists. Thank you Mumford and Sons for a great night.
WO. cant even describe how amazing this concert was. they were fabulous
The band was awesome. They sounded absolutely perfect. The Venue...not so much. If you are young and love to stand for hours squashed like a sardine with 25,000 other young energetic bodies then go ahead and see a concert at Holland Park. If you are short, middle aged, enjoy having a beer while you watch and wouldn't mind sitting down once and awhile, then I don't recommend Concerts in the Park. What I could see, I did enjoy (thank goodness for big screens!). I love, love, love this band! And if they come to Vancouver again, I will go, as long as its in an arena.
Wow this show was unforgettable! Mumford & Sons played to a sold out crowd in Holland Park, Surrey. These guys really know how to play to a big crowd and their set is really solid top to bottom. Their encore rocked and the professional-ism they show on stage proves why they are a top band.
