About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

Been a fan since Day 1. Mumford and Sons are absolutely incredible live. Even better in a small venue like Massey Hall. Cannot wait to see them again!

  • Great band, venue issues

by Cramsa on 2025-03-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen Mumford and Sons four times now. This was a great event and I loved the venue, the only issue we had being near the back of the balcony was when people in front of us stood up, we had to stand too... But there is an overhang in the balcony that cuts off half or more of the stage so you had to crouch to see the whole band. Really unfortunate as this venue has great acoustics and it would've been perfect if no one stood up. I wish there were signs to tell those further up to think of us behind them and if staff could've helped by announcing this or asking people to sit down during the event.

  • Incredible

by Concert Chaser on 2025-03-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely LOVED the Mumford and Sons concert. I have seen them multiple times at festivals and at Scotiabank centre, and they are always incredible. My only complaint was there wasn’t enough dance space in the seats, but we made it work 🩷

  • Mumford and Sons at Massey Hall

by Erin on 2025-03-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing experience. One of the best if not the best concert I have been too and I have been to a lot of them 😂 I would see Mumford and Sons every day of the week if I could. Love them!

  • Best Ever!

by Colette on 2025-03-26Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third time that I have had the pleasure to see Mumford and Sons. Massey Hall is the best venue in Toronto to see a concert and it was a great to see a stadium style band in an intimate setting. The band took advantage of Massey Hall's amazing sound by singing several of their songs in an acoustic and acapella version, what a unique and memorable experience.

  • Great show!!

by Cherie on 2019-12-11SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great show...so many amazing artists...so well done with no waiting in between acts with the rotating stage! Loved it!

  • Good Show, Poor Sound

by KNess on 2019-08-19BC Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

BC Place sound quality wasn't the best. Lots of echo.

  • Mumford and Sons deliver!

by MinorChord on 2019-08-18BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

First note to last - just outstanding! Can't wait to see them again! An amazing live band!

  • Absolutely best amazing concert ever!

    by A. S. on 2019-08-15BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have always wanted to see this band and never had the chance until now. I hear so many bad comments about the sound at BC Place.. Not the case here! It was the perfect Venue for them. The sound was spectacular throughout the whole show. The view also amazing and awesome. The ambiance was electrifying because everyone was participating and having so much fun. I didn't even think about cost because I would have paid anything to see them. My husband and I both thought and felt it was a fabulous concert experience all around. Only one thing he balked at was the price of the beer. Lol

  • What a treat!

by Big Brother on 2019-08-14BC Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Mumford and Sons were stellar. Great sound. Sound Engineer for Portugal missed the mark. The difference in sound quality between the two bands was so drastic. Would definitely see Mumford again.

  • Mumford & Sons 5 venue 3

    by Dave O on 2019-08-13BC Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I bought my ticket on first day of sales so I could get best available seat. My seat had a speaker pillar directly between me and centre stage. I was given another seat, but I question why a major event venue requires speaker pillars (obviously quality of in house is inadequate). Ambient light coming through roof was extreme disservice to Portugal the Man. Venue was bright as day & people milling about during their performance, rather than focusing on their music. Music itself was amazing. Portugal the Man was solid & Mumford & Sons passionate

  • Awesome

    by D. H. on 2019-08-13BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was awesome. Would love to have a hard ticket as I collect them. No hard ticket is the only disappointment.

  • Awesome M&S

by Will on 2019-08-13BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoy Mumford and Sons albums, but in concert they bring a dramatically increased energy level to their performances. The sound was very good considering the venue is known to have relatively poor acoustics, but the interactions with the audience was very enjoyable and it really felt like they have a special affinity for playing in Vancouver. Awesome concert.

  • Amazing night

by Jerseylily on 2019-08-13BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Quite simply blown away by the show that Mumford & Sons put on. Portugal the Man were also a fantastic warm up. I’ve been to a few gigs in my time but can honestly say that their performance will stay with me for a long time. I was a fan before but now I feel like I could turn groupie they were that good :0). Also great job BC place- super quick entry with the mobile tickets & line ups for food / merchandise were fast moving . Also didn’t take eons to get out of the stadium either.

  • Awesome!

by Holley on 2019-08-12BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford and Sons were energetic and amazing from the time they got on stage to their last encore. They sang a great combination of songs from all of their albums. I saw them with U2 and they did not disappoint. Loved it!

  • Awesome show!

by Linda on 2019-08-12Gorge Amphitheatre - GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5

First time at the gorge What a spectacular venue !! Mumford and Sons were fantastic. They put on a great show. Portugal the Man were great as well but unfortunately, many people were still milling about finding seats etc so they didn’t get the attention they deserved
