About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

  • Fantastic!

    by S. L. on 2019-08-12BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

It was great to hear my old favourites. I have a growing appreciation hearing the newer songs from the Delta album LIVE! I love how the band starts in an intimate way with the smaller stage. The closer contact with Marcus in the audience was great. Loved the concert!

  • Bough vip...worth it! Loved being able to go in earl

  • Loved Mumford!

    by C. D. on 2019-08-12BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford and Sons outdid themselves in Vancouver at BC Place! An amazing performance by a very appreciative band. They truly gave us all they had and we were thankful.

  • Great show! Great ticket sale system!!!

    by J on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Thanks for making the good seats verified, non-transferable and for tying them to mobile phones of the purchaser. Makes it impossible for scalpers to get them all and very difficult to sell them. I managed to get great tickets, which is super rare for big shows these days.

  • Great Band, Great Show, Terrible Venue

by Disgruntled on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

That arena has the worst sound quality out of all venues in this city. Why on earth is a great band like Mumford & Sons playing here???

  • Mumford & Sons

    by P.G. on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Room for improvement. The venue was too large for the event and there was some obvious technical difficulties. I am not a hugh fan but I wanted to check out their music. I found a lot of their songs were very monotonous. I think I would have enjoyed their preformance more if it was in a smaller venue.

  • Wonderful Concert

by Jane on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The music was wonderful, and the band's energy was unbeatable. BC Place could use some more baffles to prevent the sound from bouncing around, but otherwise a fantastic show.

  • Fantastic show!

They were brilliant from start to finish. Enjoyed Portugal the Man as well

  • Mumford and Sons

by Jo on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I have ever been to!!! Over 20 songs played all without a break that band was amazing and Marcus and his voice were unbelievable

  • Great Night Out

by Jenn on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

We had fabulous seats for this mostly upbeat show! Sound was pretty good even though BC Place sound systems have a history of not being great. Security was quick to get through and no long lines. Could only use my phone to bring up tickets which ended up being a pain as couldn't log into Ticketmaster app at the venue without wifi.

  • Awesome!

by Dar on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Portugal the Man and Mumford and Sons were awesome! The venue, BC Place, was too warm and not enough fresh air. I think the roof should have been opened up.

  • Ongoing poor concert sound in BC Place

by Gibby on 2019-08-11BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

As is the norm with concerts in this venue, the stadium sound quality was sub standard to the point where I will probably drive to Seattle to see acts in the future. This is not a new problem, the convex speaker stacks are set either side and in front of the stage, limiting sight lines for a lot of fans. The mid and higher end frequencies and instrument balances get lost, and If you are an audiophile, any seats near the nosebleeds lose all high end so all you hear is bass and drums. A bit more use of satellite speakers with synch delays would eliminate the issues but the frustrating thing is it has never ever been addressed, show after show. Considering the many artists and shows that put on events in this venue, I am very disappointed. I have seen a lot of shows in many different stadiums and this is an issue that the venue should address as it is the worst sound without a doubt. Aside from that, the security access was fast, much improved from past events as was the drink selection, but drinks were still too expensive.

  • Amazing

    by J on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible performance by Mumford & Sons and Portugal. The Man. Only complaint is how hot it was in the venue- maybe some AC or open the roof next time.

  • Mumford and Sons Rock Vancouver

by BillyMac on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This may have been the concert of the year. Mumford and Sons put on a show that will stay in my mind forever. And, as always, the Vancouver audience is the best one could ever be part of. We know how to party. What a big night!

  • The.Best.

by Sam on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I go to a LOT of concerts and Mumford and sons is always my favourite. They get better every time!

  • Venue

by Car Guy on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I usually avoid this venue like the plague but buddy invited me and I really like both bands. They put on a great show but a different venue would have been much better. Too bad.

  • Why do people talk ?

by Dragon on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Looking forward to seeing Mumford and sons last time I saw them was at the Paramount in Seattle, they were amazing. The only problem was I had two guys you talked through the whole concert ,why bother going when you going to talk all the way through it ?I actually lost it and told them to shut up. I was at the concert to listen to music and not them talking and that I had paid good money for the tickets .The row in front of them was also pissed off them .Go to a pub if you want to talk not a concert !

  • Fantastic Night at BC Place!

    by C. M. on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

We scored amazing floor-row 2 seats and then I ended up breaking a foot and was not mobile for the event. The guest services and the premium ticket company went above and beyond to accommodate our changed circumstances. We were able to keep the seats we had - although we were also given other options. We had early entry and early merchandise access as part of our package and it all went off without a hitch. Getting in and out of the venue was the only frustrating part to the whole night and we ended up meeting event staff that helped us get to ramps and elevators that would get us to where we needed to be. All the staff were very courteous and professional. Wow I have such a huge appreciation for the event staff working these live event shows and am amazed at how organized and flexible they need to be to make the shows go off so smoothly for the fans. Thank you!
