About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

  • Absolutely magical

by bisingular on 2019-08-10BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Mumford and Sons live. I will keep seeing them every time they're in Vancouver. Their shows are magical! They played a great mix of their older music and their latest album. The outcropping stage made the setup very dynamic and was a joy to behold. The moving lighting setup made for a very visually appealing show. Marcus is good with a crowd and everyone in the audience was excited the whole time. The four band members played a couple of their quieter songs together around one mic, which brought on a whole other level of emotions. I can't recommend seeing these guys live enough.

  • Amazing Band - One of my All time Favourites

    by nlsubrya0904 on 2018-10-05Scotia Bank - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford is a one of kind band and it is the absolute best band of its kind. They play music to suit all generations and are extremely unique. My boyfriend and I have been fans for countless years and no matter what is and will always be our favourite band – their music brought us together. We have not had the opportunity to see our favourite band in concert yet, but we are hoping and praying to see them in Toronto December 17th 2018. We would love to celebrate our 5 year anniversary at the concert and celebrate with those all around us. Mumford truly is an amazing band and one of its kind.

The sound quality was amazing! The musicians were really good and each song were played with passion. Patrick Watson was also really talented. The food was good with a large variety of meal :) The best show I've ever seen!!

  • Great concert - Great venue!

by lesleyamk on 2016-06-15Baie de Beauport - QuébecRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford & Sons gave what we expected - an excellent, engaging, high-energy performance! They sang a mix of old and new (chants of "banjo! banjo!" made it clear the fans still love the old stuff). I was thrilled they had Baaba Maal with them for three songs and I loved how gracious Marcus was towards his guest. He also charged through the crowd to collect a Canadian and a Quebec flag, trusting the fans not to overwhelm him. Although this is still part of the Gentlemen of the Road tour we saw in June/15, it felt fresh. The band is still energised and connected with the crowd and didn't seem in any hurry at all to get off the stage. We would have been happy with one opening act but got three (although it did make for a very long time standing - 6 hours). The venue is very well organised, with a good selection of food trucks surrounding many picnic tables. The water refill stations were easily accessible. A few more toilets would have been good, as they were full (and some un-useable by the end); also some toilets by the shuttle bus stop would be an idea. I would have liked handwash stations as well. The shuttle system is excellent and allowed people to arrive and disburse the park easily. It is a bit of a walk from the shuttle stop to the entrance (about 1 km) but that was okay. I was very impressed with the high number of staff. Staff and security were always cheerful and willing to help or answer questions.

Fantastic performance. In addition to sounding amazing live, they put on a fantastic show. They were funny and entertaining throughout. Hope to see another Alberta visit soon.

  • Great Mumford show

by jmts on 2015-08-15Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

It's nice Mumford has the electric guitar songs as it breaks up the show from banjo songs. Only complaint is they didn't play "Lovers Eyes "

  • Mumford rocked the 'dome

by bellsong on 2015-08-15Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Simply epic! A great mix of old and new material! Marcus really looked like he was giving his all when singing, and Winston, Ben and Ted made things look seamless behind. The new members also fit in like they had always been there. Great job!
