About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

Amazing band to see. The encore showed the talent they have by just singing together. The only problem I had was the light show didn't let you see the band very well. But all in all I would definitely go see them again

  • Mumford & Sons - Brilliant!

    by Weezie65 on 2015-08-13Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford and Sons are absolutely brilliant! Playing a mix of tunes from old and new cd's, their presence on stage was of an intensity I have never seen before, absolutely brilliant! They all move around from instrument to instrument, never faltering on the intensity and passion that they put into each. Although the venue is not the greatest for the acoustics, they sounded amazing, performing for a full house, all of which I am sure went home having had a amazing night! You get the chance to see them live...don't hesitate!

  • Mumford was amazing as always

    by steff56822 on 2015-07-07The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 4 out of 5

Mumford was amazing as always even though for me, the venue left something to be desired. I know they are playing to a huge audience, and I know it is difficult for a venue to be able to accommodate that, but being a short person who did not spend all day waiting in line -- I could not see ANYTHING. The stage was WAY too low and the TV screens were low too. Very disappointing. In terms of Mumford- they certainly did not disappoint. They sounded amazing and played a nice mix of old and new songs.

  • SO AMAZING!!

    by Chelles12345 on 2015-06-26The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

Literally mind blowing performance!! It was so amazing to watch and the venue fit the performance quite well.

  • Mumford & Sons NOTL Concert

by Deidra on 2015-06-23The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert! They played a mix of all their CDs and were very engaging and upbeat. They literally played like it was either their first time performing or the last time they would ever perform by the energy they gave off. It really felt like they were there to perform and not just receive a paycheck. The sound quality was the best I had every heard at a concert I've been to and the visual camera work was great too (not sure if that was NOTL or band specific). Not in relation to the band but the venue had horrible parking. Took me 2.5 hours just to leave the parking area.

  • Mumford and Sons Rock the Barracks!!

by Mina on 2015-06-23The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

A truly unforgettable night as Mumford and Sons Rocked the Barracks in NOTL!!!! This band is Amazing LIVE and became noticeably invigorated from the energy of the fans of near 30 000!!! Very thankful to have been a part of this historical night. Mumford and Sons is hands down my favorite band to see live!!!

  • Awesome Show

by Alessandra on 2015-06-23The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome as usual, I saw them at the Simcoe stopover a few years back and it this show took me back to that weekend. The venue was huge and held a lot of people, alot of walking but well worth it. Kind of disappointed in the restaurants in NOTL, unless you had a reservation they wouldnt even talk to you. The band played a good mix of both old and new songs, and did not disappoint.

  • Mumford concert great mix of old and new

by canoecrazy on 2015-06-22The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 4 out of 5

I was really happy with the concert and the mix of music between their first albums and the new one. Food and drinks at the concert was, good, though expensive, but all in all, was fantastic. I really enjoy the outdoor concert experience better than say going to the ACC.

  • Mumford rocked it.

by IOMF on 2015-06-21The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. Butlers barracks was a great venue except for the fact it took nearly 2 hours to get out of Niagara on the lake back to the highway.

  • Mumford

by CaptainZoom on 2015-06-20The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

Sound was incredible and the venue was big, Mumford had brought top notch musicians with them and played very well. only downside was after the concert when everyone had to leave and they only opened the small entrance. People were squished and it could have easily ended in tragedy. They should have had multiple exits.

  • So much fun!!!!!

The Mumford and Sons concert was fantastic!! Entertaining night. Venue rocked!!!

  • Great Concert, Crappy parking

    by TT1202 on 2015-06-19The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 4 out of 5

As always Mumford and Sons puts on another amazing concert! I haven't been to sure about their new sound but it seems to be growing on me. I was thrilled to see them play a good mix of both current and older songs. The only down fall was the awful parking situation and the over 2.5hr wait to leave the parking lot.

  • by HipMom on 2015-06-19The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome concert. I attended with my son aged 19 who is a huge fan. Although, I only know a few songs I thought they were fantastic except for the 4 hours of standing in general admission!!

  • MUMFORS AND SONS AMAZING!!!!

There are no words strong enough to describe how amazing this concert was.

  • The best concert I've ever been to

    by jmelo13 on 2015-06-18The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing. The whole Band was authentic, had stage presence, were emotional, and looked like they were loving it on stage. The set list was about 2 hours long and filled with both old and new songs. I can't wait to see them again.

  • Good concert

by IvanC on 2015-06-18The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 4 out of 5

Good Concert to see, but it looked like it was painful for the band to play the Cave and Lion man, the sound quality was really good. i would recommend to a friend, but i would not pay so much to see band again.

  • Love These Guys

by Choncho on 2015-06-18The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome!! These guys have so much talent. Couldn't get very close though because of the whopping 30,000 people. Glad to be part of a show they said was the biggest they've done outside of England. So great having them so close to home. Wish they would play arenas again ounce in a while. Venue was great and well organized. Had free water station and lots of outhouses. Only issue was when we were leaving. It took hours because only one street led out of the parking lot. Would've taken longer if we didn't find a way out through the bush that wasn't an exit. Next time I'll pay to park way up the street.

  • by Kasra on 2015-06-18The Commons at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site - Niagara-on-the-LakeRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was great except it wasn't in Toronto so we had to travel to Niagara on the lake in a heavy traffic.

by far the absolute best concert I've been to. incredible venue and the entire event was very well organized from parking to food/beer and the main events. everything was done in a timely manner and no issues what so ever. played a great line up. had amazing opening acts from Son Little and The Maccabees.
