Highly recommend seeing Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy. Very enjoyable evening. Their 4 young children's performances were brilliant. Warm, friendly concert showcasing amazing fiddling talent. Felt like they were welcoming us into their home; a taste of a Cape Breton house party.
Thrilled that we were able to take in the Celtic Family Christmas. The entire evening was enjoyable and energizing. And what talented children. It was a joy to witness the love each person, young and old, had for the music and the dance.
A wonderful true picture of children being given a chance to show their natural talents taught to them by loving parents who take the time to Love there children and home school them. Bravos you are exceptional parents, Natalie and Donnell
Purchased tickets for my parents, husband & myself as a Christmas Gift. What a great evening. We made it despite the blizzard in MB. We have seen Natalie at the concert hall many years ago and were just as impressed this time. The talent of the musicians is incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and were pleasantly surprised with her children's performance. My dad doesn't express himself very often and all I can say is that Natalie & Donnell along with the rest of the crew made him smile and clap all night long!
A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Not to be missed. The children were adorable of course.The musicals accompanying Natalie and Donnell wonderful too. Everyone had such energy ! Cheers to their driver who got them through the snow storm. Kudos to the Winnipeg Police Pipe band members.
Great show by a terrific family. Hard to tell if the highlight was the kids, or the Winnipeg Police Pipe and Drum band joining them on stage.

Wonderful performances from everyone! Natalie and Donnell never disappoint and the addition of their five talented and beautiful children made this a very special Christmas event. I loved hearing about the MacMaster-Leahy Christmas traditions, past and present. The love Natalie and Donnell displayed for their family warmed my heart and created a memory that I will cherish for many years.
The show was far beyond what I expected to see. The Stars were terrific and the muscians were top performers. Truly a Family Show.
One of the best Christmas events my wife & I have attended. The presentation was great, a family atmosphere in living room of a house. A lovely treat to have Mom, Dad and family share the stage. Great musicians in the band. Lovely mix of instruments. Presentation of family & friends at Christmas was great.
I managed to surprise my wife by taking her and my daughter to see Natalie McMaster and Donnell Leahy, who took their six kids on tour, five of which were on stage at various points, for what was a really phenomenal show. The accompanying musicians were a blast, and they really hit the Celtic Christmas theme of the show out of the park. They also used a hilarious line about their kids performing, in that they were "genetically obliged".
This was a wonderful family-friendly evening. The fiddle playing was amazing, and the backup band was great. For a few songs bagpipes came out along with drums. The best part? The couple's adorable children who play the violin, dance and sing. Everyone left the concert with a smile on their face. I would definitely recommend this!
I would highly recommend seeing Natalie and Donnell and family perform. The whole family is amazingly talented and so inviting. It was such a treat to see the kids playing and dancing. There was no way that you could sit still during the evening. The music was infectious, the step dancing lively. Tim, the guitarist was incredible - I thought he was playing a 12 string guitar! What a fabulous evening - worth every penny. I hope they come again!
Had a chance to see these extremely talented people and their children perform. We had seen the Leahy family when they used to tour to the west coast but had never seen Natalie! Donnell & Natalie TOGETHER. WOW!! What a thrill!! Awesome couple!! Their traveling accompaniment were superb as well. We feel blessed that we have such wonderful talent in Canada! Very upbeat. Kept us smiling even on the way home!
This was one of the best, if not THE best show we've ever seen - and we're really old and have seen a lot of shows! There was so much energy on that stage - you could cut it with a knife. Natalie and Donnell are consummate musicians and their band members were spectacular. When their 5 children came on stage (ranging from ages 5-9) and each played the fiddle flawlessly they got a standing ovation. When they step danced, they were amazing! The whole Leahy Family is a National Treasure from Cape Breton Island and made me very proud to be Canadian!
