It was amazing!! So fortunate that I got tickets for onedirection all the way from over the seas in Birjand, Iran. Never thought I could be able to be in the concert amongst other directioners and be able to see the boys preform from the floor seats. Best concert/ day of my life. And I'm super lucky to be able to have gone. Thanks so much for organizing this event and thanks one direction for ACTUALLY coming to Edmonton after 4 years!!! Btw Harry looked at me!!!
The One Direction concert in Edmonton was the best day of my life!!! It was the first 1D show and it was fantastic <3!!! I hope they continue to come to Alberta so I can see them again. And I think they had lots of fun tbh :)
If you ever get the chance to go see One Direction, you MUST!!! They truly put on a fantastic show from start to finish…..they are continually interacting with the crowd, happy, smiling, loving what they are doing. The boys make sure they spread themselves out so that everyone has the opportunity to see at least one of them all the time, which is very considerate of the fans. We saw them in Seattle on July 15, and in Edmonton on July 21. I would go again to Winnipeg if I could!!!
Was very enjoyable, The venue was great. It was not a big glamor show. Just 4 guys on stage having fun and singing there songs. Was very classic to the big light/fire work shows
I took my 6 & 7 year old to the concert and they loved it. They were singing and dancing the entire show. Thought One D sounded great, vocals were nice and clear. Nice they interacted with the audience a bit - the young girls were going mad! Except for the lovely rain storm part way through the concert, the night was a huge hit!!
It was great that kids of all ages were there to enjoy! Amazing performers and show was amazing! My youngest kept his eyes on the stage the whole time! Was up singing and dancing the whole show!
I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and showman ship of one direction . Even with the rain their enthusiasm never wavered! Was a great show I took my nieces and they loved every second of it!!
We had a great time. Excellent sound and stage show.
Simply amazing concert - they are fantastic to see. The kids had a blast.
THEY WERE SO AMAZING BEST NIGJT OF MY LIFE CONSIDERING THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME SEEING THEM LIVE
I have waited since before Up All Night was released in Canada for One Direction to come to Edmonton. The excitement and anticipation was real for me as it was built up for four years. I was happy to finally see the boys live and hear them perform right in front of me. I enjoyed singing along and the razzle dazzle of the performance was definitely there. But sadly, I must be realistic as an adult unclouded by the crazy teenage fangirl trope. The boys seemed very tired. Harry was the most charismatic and interacted with the crowd; everyone that I've talked to since the concert has agreed he's the best performer. Liam was also very good and chatted with the crowd. Niall understandably was playing his guitar. It's hard for me to admit, because Niall is my favourite, that he didn't seem as into it as he has in previous concerts I've watched online. Louis was on a totally different scale. My over 50 year old mother, who's a fan in her own right watched the concert from across the stadium. She has always loved Louis and she was greatly disappointed. Maybe he was sick or preoccupied by the rumours he's going to be a father but he sounded terrible and barely interacted with the crowd. I have followed the band for years and they did not interact with each other on stage the way I believed they would. The vibe was very off and I believe the crowd could feel it. Because they literally came into town hours before the concert and left that night there was the feeling they really weren't interested and we were just another stop on the tour. Don't get me wrong, I understand they're very busy and are recording an album at the moment but at least somewhat show an interest in the place where a concert filled with 15 000 locals is taking place. I have conflicting feelings of how to rate this concert. I probably would go see them again because of my enjoyment of their pop tunes. But somehow they felt tainted by the drama and rumours of the past months which made the concert average on the overall performance and interaction scale. Harry and Liam were trying to save a sinking ship. Unfortunately, this concert proved to me they need to take a long break and do their own thing for awhile.
Very disappointed. Bought my son tickets for this concert when they were released. Treated him to floor seats for his first ever concert. Spent over $100 each!!! (I didn't even spend that on U2 whi are infinitely better than 1D). Then a band member left and the appeal of the band has fell away. Recently the tickets were being sold on Groupon for half price. Not happy about that as we paid full price. We get an email the day before giving the running order which said 1D on stage at 8. 30pm. I thought that was late given the "young" audience group. Anyway was worse than that because they didn't come on stage until 9. 10 pm. That meant finishing well after 11 pm. Not at all suitable for such a young crowd. Lots of youngerfans left early as it was so late. The band themselves were ok. The stage and lights etc were just ok considering this is a stadium tour. Make no mistake - One Direction are not a stadium quality band. Arenas yes, stadiums no. Overall I would not recommended this to anyone for the price they charge. Lining their pockets is what this tour is about - not the fans.
Third time seeing them in concert, their amazing!!
The performance is lousy and boring. Lacks stage presence. They simply promote their new album and that's it. It would have been better to just listen to their music on the radio than spend a lot of money for the 2 tickets. By the way, I bought a very good seat hence expensive just to know that tickets were on sale at Groupon for a much lower price, SUCKS!!! For that money for their tickets, I/we expected something a LOT BETTER than what they did at the concert. The performance is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
What an uninspiring performance. I bought tickets and took my pre-teen nieces, and they were BORED!!! Harry looked like he just crawled out of a dumpster, and the rest of the band looked like they were bored to death. Maybe they need to get off the road for a while, and ponder what life will be like when they are no longer relevant. With new boy bands popping up everyday, that is going to happen sooner than they think. I was hoping they had some stage presence, but even their banter was boring (they screamed, "how you doing Vancouver at least a dozen times). The highlight of the show was when they sang Happy Birthday to a young fan, which was very sweet, and her reaction was priceless. Especially if you have thoughts about taking a younger fan, don't, it's not worth the $150 they charge.
After spending $350 for a ticket and over $200 to get to Toronto, I was expecting a little more out of the VIP. In previous years, VIP buyers got to meet the band, go to soundcheck, and get a picture with the boys. This year, it was the same price but this "VIP Party" only included some tables set up and food. We didn't even get to see the boys before the concert. As for seating, we barely got to see them from where we were and non-VIP buyers were closer than us. The concert itself was amazing and I would strongly recommend it, just don't bother with VIP. Definitely not worth the $350 and the trip to Toronto. Highly disappointed.
Amazing performers and amazing guys!! You will be entertained the entire night by not only their music but also by their one of a kind humour and the overall fun atmosphere they have created for their fans. Great family show or even for just a group of friends! you surely won't forget the night! I definitely didn't and watching the videos I took makes me smile, totally worth it:)
I'm from Canada and because 1D wasn't coming anywhere close to my city, I flew out to Arizona with my sister and 2 friends to see their show in Glendale. One Direction put on what was hands down one of the greatest performances I have ever seen! They are absolutely amazing live, extremely interactive with the audience, funny, entertaining, extremely good looking, the set was great, and it was impossible not to have a good time. I don't think I sat down once during the entire concert. The cost of flying out there was 100% worth it, and now that they are finally coming to my city next summer I did not hesitate to buy tickets for that show as well. Soooo looking forward to it!
To be honest, I have no clue where to start. First off, this was the most AMAZING two days of my life!!! And I will never take back saying that. I went to both shows back in August with my cousin and I was so shocked, and so amazed, I don't even remember the first night haha. It was absolutely incredible. The opening in the concert, I go into hysterics just thinking about it, it was insanity, they had a video with music playing on these large screens on either side of the stage and then when they came out the music dropped and the video ended, fireworks went off and Harry started to sing "Midnight Memories". For anyone saying they can't sing and it was a waste of money, IT MOST DEFIANTLY ISN'T. One Direction is the most popular boy band to record (beating the Beetles) so they must be doing something right considering that and what they have achieved. If your daughter or son is a fan, I highly recommend letting them go because there is explosions of confetti, lasers (which looks really cool in person), lots of lights, the size of the stage is massive!! The boys have GREAT voices, if they didn't I don't think they would have made it as far as they did on XFactor, and they energy in the crowd is amazing!! Before the show my cousin and I were outside of the stadium and heard screaming across the road, so us and about 30 others ran across a busy intersection during rush hour just to see what the screaming was about, turns out Louis was in the parking garage below us. Also Zayn was backstage and everyone on the floor started running to the right side of the stadium. We all saw Zayn and I was about 3 meters from them. I know for parents it's a big decision on whether or not your kid should go. I'm 17 going on 18 and this was my first stadium concert, and I can HONESTLY say, once again, best time of my life, I still think about is on a weekly basis, and wish I was back there, and even when watching the videos I had taken I still get the same feelings from when I was there. I would let your child go. No your not going to get any Angus Young on stage or Gene Simmons but this concert is still INCREDIBLE. There is literally tons and tons, and I mean TONS of security in every direction, There is always at least one security person in view. It is as safe as can be. Great time!! Defiantly going again!! And going to remember this for a life time!! :)
