    Best Experience Ever

    by Andreea on 2023-08-12

Osheaga was great! From the music to the food to the drinks and all around vibes. Awesome place to be and I would definitely return.

    Entrance and exit sucks

    by Anonymous on 2023-08-12

The entrance to this festival is SO small and horribly set up considering the amount of people entering. Having ONE exit that’s 4 feet wide for thousands of people to go through is borderline dangerous. Other than entry and exit it’s amazing.

Dope lineup, there’s a few things to improve though

    by Isaac on 2023-08-12

There were a couple of things I’m dissatisfied about. One being the sprinklers at the front of the stage. The day wasn’t as warm, and they became very annoying at times, specially for people wearing makeup… It somehow felt like the people activating them were just trying to scare us off and make us feel uncomfortable. The layout of the washrooms locations could be better signaled. There weren’t that many options at the food court. We’d like better quality merch please!! The Billie Eilish shirts looked very amateur. There could be some improvement in the spots to get an Osheaga official pic. On the bright side, the staff was super considerate by making sure everybody in the audience felt safe and keeping the people near the stage hydrated. I loved the idea of having twonstages side to side so that you could watch an artist perform while waiting for your faves. Lockers really did come in handy too. Can’t wait to see what the 2024 edition has in mind for us fans. Pls bring more pop artists, if I had it my way I would bring Olivia and Conan!! Thanks for hearing us out!!

    Wooo love oshe

    by Kate on 2023-08-11

Dom Dolla was cut 30 mins short rip </3 and he probably should have been at a bigger stage. The walk to the green stage and chevy stage was a bit annoying and it was quite muddy over there. But otherwise the stages were nice and accessible! A lot of spots to sit and rest. Lots of food and vegan options. We got there around 3:30 Friday and Saturday and it took no more than 10 mins to make it through security but for some reason we were waiting super long on Sunday

    Best Festival Ever

    by Aimz on 2023-08-11

The music was fabulous, grounds well set up, easy access to all the stages. Could use a few more water stations, some cheaper food options and lookouts/perches for us short queens. Billie, Kendrick, Central CEE, Fred Again, Armani White, Baby Keem were supreme. Overall, just loved it!

    Crowded/Over Sold Event

    by Ollie on 2023-08-11

Went to Osheaga every year. This year however... was an absolute mess. Not only was the event incredibly crowded, but for some reason they decided to limit certain parts of the event. There was not a single spot to have your calm space or just be away from the crowd. I really hope the configuration next year will be better!

Great concert but some amenities need work

    by Sophia on 2023-08-10

I love going to Osheaga each year and always have a blast. My only words of criticism is that the urinals for the men should be out of the way a bit more. Having lines of women waiting for the outhouses in the stench of the urinals was a very bad idea. Especially if the event is sold out I think there should be more thought into it when the smell in the line is 100x worse than the smell inside the actual porta potty. Also I love Osheaga because I am never too far from a water station. However for some of them when all the taps are being used at once the water comes out super slow which could be noted for next time. On my last day of Osheaga, my spray sunscreen was confiscated at the entrance. I understand that safety comes first and anything in a spray can theoretically can explode under extreme heat, but I felt it was a bit unnecessary and extremely inconvenient to have my sunscreen taken away at a festival where I’d be out in the sun alllll day. Especially because I had no problems with it on the first 2 days. Other than that, I really enjoyed the festival and will definitely be coming back next year ! Thanks osh

    Scary Crowd Management

    by Ali on 2023-08-10

Love the artists and music, but the venue layout and crowd management was horrendous, and often scary. Difficult to leave a show safely, especially at the end of the night.

    Been a long time attendee

    by Soph on 2023-08-10

Osheaga has changed in so many ways over the last decade that I have attended; each year they make improvements, but also have setbacks as well. For this years pros: - Very good line up, and for who you get to see, the price is actually decent - love the metro system in mtl to reach the island, yes the walk post festival sucks but compared to other festival, it’s extremely accessible This years cons (and there’s a lot this year): - so many people, not enough space; they seem to have shrunk the ground size this year but on top of that have record attendees, make it make sense (out of all my years of attending osheaga this one felt the tightest) - again so many people, not enough of everything; whether it’s bathrooms, bars, food etc, there was nothing that was easily accessible and because there were so many people I couldn’t even tell where the line ups began - not enough signs indicating water refill stations, did not see a single one, again probably hidden behind all those people. Even those sponsored vendors, could not even see or remember a single one of them because all I could see is a sea of people - bars do not sell Gatorade/electrolyte drinks; only water and alcohol. Ye water is cool for hydration, but most medical emergencies are due to electrolyte imbalances, and water intoxication is a real thing - poor cell reception (5 minutes into festival grounds I had zero cell reception til I got off the island) Overall it felt like this year was just one bad incident away from having a mass casualty. If there was any emergency, I wouldn’t have even known where to go to get help because it’s too crowded and I couldn’t even figure out who actually worked there unless I walked up to stalls (which were all hard to navigate too because again, just so many people). Did we learn nothing from all the crowd crushing events that happened the past couple years…?

    Greatest day of my life

by The Man with the Central Cee sign on 2023-08-10

In one day, I was able to see Central Cee, the king of London perform AND the king of rap himself… KENDRICK LAMAR. Both of their performances were spectacular and it is a night I will never forget. I highly recommend getting there early next year so u have a good spot.

    Can improve the circuit

    by Flo on 2023-08-10

In general it was ok except the green scene. A hell to go there with the big crowd. Place was really a mess and the sound not good at all. Maybe improving the différent access would help to move between différents scene.

might've slayed so hard that slay lost all meaning

    by soph on 2023-08-10

I had so much fun all 3 days of Osheaga!! The lineup was amazing and I got to see so many shows I wanted, despite missing some because they were happening at the same time :(( The sound was great and we could see the screens very well at the main stages and 2 further ones too. However, there were no screens for the Island stage. Water was easily accessible, whether you had a water bottle to fill up, took one of the free ones, or re-used a cocktail glass. The one thing is that it seemed like there were way too many people there. Despite the many, many toilets, restaurants, and large spaces, waiting for the bathrooms or to get food took sooooo long that we were missing some shows. At one point it took us 1h30 to order and then receive our food, and up to 30 minutes to go to the bathroom (where there did not seem to be a system to know whose turn it was to go). Also, because the two further scenes took so long to get to and the way to get there was relatively narrow, moving between shows with that many people was almost impossible during busier times. By the way, those water features at the main stage were also way too strong. We got SOAKED without warning, and while it does get hot during the afternoon, our clothes were still wet by the evening when it was no longer very very hot. While it's a good idea to want to help people cool down during the afternoon, those water jets were too heavy and stayed on the same people for too long. Maybe a lighter jet and in smaller increments would've been smarter?

    Loved it

    by Samuel Mallet on 2023-08-10

With a heart brimming with joy and a mind teeming with vibrant memories, I recount my exhilarating adventure at Osheaga on August 5, 2023. The event was a spectacular feast for the senses that captivated me from the moment I arrived. The festival's overall atmosphere exuded warmth and a welcoming spirit. The bodyguards deserve a special mention for their professional and kind demeanour, as they generously distributed free water bottles to those near the barricades. The lineup of artists was undeniably legendary. I found myself alternating between lively dance sessions and tranquil, melodic vibes. SOFI TUKKER's performance was a rhythmic extravaganza that had both the crowd and myself moving our bodies to the infectious beats. It was an exhilarating experience that left me energized and longing for more. Then came Billie Eilish's set, a sublime contrast that lowered the energy level and provided the perfect ambience to simply relax and immerse oneself in the music. Her hauntingly beautiful voice echoed throughout the venue, creating an atmosphere that was both captivating and intimate. These transitions between high energy and serene tranquility truly showcased the festival's diverse lineup. The camaraderie was palpable as we danced, sang, and swayed together, crafting a harmonious collective experience. There were no disruptions or disharmony, just a sea of joyful faces united in revelling in the magic of the music. Thanks you Bell & Osheaga for curating such an unforgettable event. Without a doubt, this was more than just a fleeting moment of fun—it was a cherished memory that will resonate with me for years to come. I am sincerely grateful for this experience and eagerly anticipate attending the festival in the years ahead.

Not enough infrastructure for that many people, there was people pissing everywhere because not enough bathrooms. Food too expensive.

    Great!

    by Isa on 2023-08-10

Beau festival!

    One big party

    by Mosn on 2023-08-10

Bands and venue great! Lots of talented artists! Unfortunately experience was ruined by the massive amounts of drunk, stoned and partying crowds. People littered everywhere, throwing up, passing out, using bathroom in open public area right next to us… not an enjoyable way to hear the bands.

The OSHEAGA site at Parc Jean-Drapeau is amazing! 5 scenes, great lineups, diversity in music style, great variety of food trucks & drinks, enough toilets and nice & efficient security staff But what makes it so special is the ambiance! Good vibes, great people, sunshine, fun & music with 55k people Merci Montreal!
