Beautiful weekend, great variety of artists in a amazing environment.
Belle organisation et bons shows! Merci!
It was insane ! The people were great, the vibe was there I loved every second of it! The only thing is that security needs to be more careful about people sneaking in because it could be dangerous keeping in mind that the festival was sold out. But other than that it was great definitely going again next year!
2023 was my first Osh and was an amazing experience! Great lineup and loved the venue. Only qualms I had was 1. the flow of people to get in/out of stages was pretty brutal at some points and 2. the extreme backup of people trying to leave by train after the headliners ended. My friends and I had to wait over an hour in shoulder to shoulder crowds to get on a train from 11:00pm past midnight on day 1. But all things considered we had a very overall positive experience :)
Soo many people, soo much to do! Many (expensive) food options but never enough seating. They should offer more non-alcoholic drink options. The metal barriers dividing the stages should be removed as this is a fire hazard.
Osheaga used to be about music and art. Now it seems more about the sponsors and how many tickets they can sell It still has the advantage of offering multiple genres of music in one festival which I love! I’ve been attending for years, however this year was not as enjoyable. Due to the overcrowding as well as the way the festival herds the crowds like cows in one direction! -I’m predicting a tragic accident to happen soon if this doesn’t change!! I was unable to go from stage to stage like previous years which is why I love osheaga! The food was expensive! Couldn’t get anything for under $15 avg and the line was an hour long regardless- a Hour long line in NO SHADE. There’s hardly any shady areas or covering to provide any. It Used to have some tree coverage before! The drink prices are comparable to other festivals but the selection isn’t great. Unless you wait in a long line there is ppl walking around with coolers that sell canned drinks which is great! However on 3 DIFFERENT occasions found on my bank app I was scammed for a higher gratuity then intended! I started asking to see the pay terminal as I tapped and a few got dudes got kinda rude. The litter is out of control. More garbages/recycling definitely needs to be provided Porta potty’s suck cause ppl are gross. nothing worse than other festivals. Sometimes had toilet paper but a lot of the handles were broken and didn’t lock properly leaving people confused and yanking them open. There was a lot of porta potty’s but all grouped in areas that were not close I think spread out would be better. Ppl walk all the way then gotta wait in line? Not happening. It’s chaos- gross chaos! For the most part the stages were excellent! EXCEPT the Bell stage-there was a visual obstruction by the front middle of the stage and unless you were up close you couldn’t actually see the performance (depending where they were on the stage) you had to watch the screens. And for get it if your 5’2” like me! There used to be a lot more seating on the hill; which sucks bc I always thought it made Osheaga a lil more chill than other festivals. A lot of it is taken over with the ‘VIP’ sections now…which tbh don’t look that fun- imo! The small section of grass they’ve left on the bell stage side was a swampy nasty situation. I am not convinced that it wasn’t actually sewage leaking from the VIP! Although Kendrick Lamar’s performance was great, I was a bit disappointed with how/lack of closing out the festival on sunday The artist's I saw were fantastic! I did have a good time! but I think it’s gonna take a bucket list performer on the lineup to get me back there… we’ll For all 3 days anyways 🤪💃🏻🎶
that it is amazing but u can get tired from all the walking and also it can get rlly crowded so make sure to save your spot
Such diverse lineups in a beautiful city, it’s a win-win.
Way too crowded this year. I have been going for years(3-day passes), and this year was awful. It was extremely difficult to navigate on the site, which meant missing shows (unlike other years). I also saw folks having panic attacks, and they had no way to exit, nor any help from security teams. Also, no soap or hand sanitizer for the toilets?! I know it’s a festival, but come on. As mentioned, I’ve been an Osheaga patron for years, but this experience will make me think twice before going back, sadly.
I went for the last day. It was honestly one of the best days of my life so far. Everyone is so friendly and fun. The only issue is the amount of people is insane, they should limit the amount of people a little more…
This year Osheaga was lit, great artists and fantastic atmosphere ! Maybe for next year, more security in place and better layout for the stages/crowd.
the price of the drinks were extremely high, even for a festival and the access to get to the metro was impossible, 1h30 I had to wait on saturday! Also, the stages were too low, making harder for people to see the artists.
I got the three day pass and it was amazing! An experience I will never forget. But the only thing I could say is that there are too many people attending. It would be a lot more comfortable if there were a few less people on the grounds.
I loved the layout of the event. It was so cool being able to see multiple talented artists in one day, performing on different scenes with the skyline of Montreal in the back. Food and drinks were great! Everyone had such an uplifting energy!
I had a great time. I think the set list, times, and locations were perfect. However, I would've liked more areas to sit near the main stage as the turf was often packed.
There's been a lot of talk of how disorganized and packed the festival was this year with records ticket sales and limited space for the organizers. I will say having attended 5-6 times in the past 10 years, I've never seen anything like the lineups and bottlenecks of people throughout the grounds in between stages. It's expected you'll need to weave through dense crowds at any main stage, but the gridlock crowds in between coca-cola to main stages & bathrooms were outrageous. Hopefully next year the organizers can improve the layout and possibly get the forest back.
One of the best weekends EVER. Very well organized… and very safe as well. Can’t wait for next year!
The artists were sick no complaints of that. The only shitty thing was the venue itself, the portapotties in the main area were far and there wasn’t enough so the lineup was super long and it was just a crowd of people so if there was an attendant there it could’ve gone smoothly like the attendant by the green stage. The price of the food and amount of choices were kind of slim so the line ups were an hour long for a slice of pizza or a whole mini pizza for $30. Soooo many people are smoking, it makes it hard to breathe with soo many people crowded in one space. A lot of drunk people too, so there def isn’t a cap on how much ppl can and are allowed to have. Will not be getting GA next time, it was mayhem.
The lineup was diverse and I had an overall good time. The set up is poor and your bell stage/coors stage should be one stage not two.
Firstly, this was my first Osheaga experience and I largely went to both spend time with my long distance boyfriend as well as because two of my favourite bands were on the list (The National and Foals). The concerts were amazing, though I did find that the Green and Chevy stages both had some sound issues (unfortunately this was where Foals was as well). The National put on a phenomenal show, one that I'll never forget --- not to mention they were followed up with a great show from Billie. Kendrick was great on day 3, as I expected. Though, we did leave a bit early to be able to catch the metro without being stuffed in like sardines. Also did you guys try the sangria? To die for. I should've asked what Sangria it was because I got so drunk off it lol.
