    The Bands were amazing!!

by Leagz on 2009-07-27WASCANA PARK - REGINA

The bands at Summer Invasion were great! The opening act on Friday was Jordan Cook, he was really good, I really enjoyed his music. The next act was Kardinal Offishall, his performance was one of my favourites, he had the crowd jumping and everyone was having a great time. Our Lady Peace was great as well, although during some songs it was har to hear them singing. On saturday all three bands did a great job as well, Mobile was the opening act and did an excellent job. Next up was State of Shock, this was another one of my favourite performances, they were awesome. The final band was Default, This was my second favourite performance.

Our Lady Peace was the greatest performance seen

by matmeister on 2009-07-26WASCANA PARK - REGINA

Jordan Cook has some sick guitar skills, Kardinal Offishall is a great energetic crowd performer, but Our Lady Peace blew absolutely everyone out of the water, no one else was even close to their level. The motocross was incredibly impressive, great festival atmosphere overall, didn't get to see much wakeboarding unfortunately but I'm sure it was great too. Second night of concerts was a little underwhelming, Mobile had a couple good performances as did State of Shock, but I thought Default was pretty forgettable. Overall a great event, hope to see Our Lady Peace here soon for a proper concert!

Friday Jordan Cook, Kardinal Offishall, and Our Lady Peace played. Jordan Cook was kinda cool. He played guitar and drums at the same time once which was unique. Props for that. Kardinal sucked. There just wasn't anything good about them. It was like a bad karaoke performance that lasted an hour... Our Lady Peace I expected to be amazing, and they were really great when they were playing their songs. They sound pretty much like they do on their CD which is awesome! No dumb sound changing in the producer's office to make them sound better than they are. They just are awesome. Their transitions were kinda awkward though and they didn't have much audience interaction, even just talking to us. They got better toward the end. Overall the energy from Friday was so-so Saturday was amazing all around! I only knew 1 Mobile song but it didn't really matter. They gave an outstanding performance! I know Default was the headliner, but I think State of Shock took the cake last night. Don't get me wrong, Default was incredible, but State of Shock had more energy I think. They ALL came out to sign autographs and take pictures after their performances at the merch booth, which is fantastic!! That just adds that little extra that makes all the difference to the audience. And how often does the headliner come out to meet the fans? Um, never. This is the first time I've ever seen it done. And to top it all off they were all suuuper nice people. "can I get a picture?" "of course you can!!" I love them all and have that much more respect for them because they haven't let fame get to their heads. They still down to earth. <3 <3 <3

    You asked.

The Wakeboarding, Skateboarding, and Freestyle Motocross were wonderful. My nine year old son kept thanking me for bringing him. Being able to get up close to the action was a photographers dream. The bands were great. The lead singer from Mobile and State Of Shock took the time to pose with my son for a photo. That made his night, and mine. The exhibitors were good and did a lot of promotional give-a-ways. We now know not to 'drink and text'! The food vendors were good, and we were glad they were there for us for cold drinks and food because it was a warm two days. Unfortunately, they were a little too far from the main stage and it was a long walk to the exit to go get something. Some washrooms inside the concert area would have been appreciated, as I would not let my son go that far by himself. It looked like the beer gardens were full and people were enjoying themselves. A few times we ran into someone who had a little too much to drink, but for the most part the crowd was well behaved. The security was top notch, and took care of any problems quickly at the front of the stage where we were. They did a great job, and even made sure the young kids close to the front were out of harms way. Overall it was a good experience, and I know my son will be asking about the next one.

    OLP worth bad weather!

by bplloyd on 2009-07-21ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

"Rain or Shine" it said on the ticket. All you can do it hope for shine, however, this wasn't the case on June 20th in Belleville where it was wet and cold the entire day. Fortunately, this didn't stop anyone from rocking and having a good time. I went for two reasons. One was to see Theory of a Dead Man who play great and then the main reason.... to see Our Lady Peace, my favourite band. OLP rocked! The opened with my favourite song, Naveed from their very first album. We also got to hear a handful of new songs from their new album which hand't come out yet. The energy was intense. There was pushing, shoving and fighting while waiting for OLP to take the stage was totally worth it. I can't wait to see them again!!

Great group with a good set list to sing along to. Energy through-out the performance and they really know how to get the crowd involved. Great light show and excellent performance.

    Wicked concert

by Courtl on 2009-07-20ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

The concert was very good. The rain made it a little miserable outside but still a good concert. Hedley was very good. I liked how they included the audience a bit more than the other groups. Theory of a dead man was awesome, they also included the audience.

Our Lady Peace stole the show

    by Andrew1291 on 2009-07-17ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

The whole show had a number of big names. the opening band Parlor Mob was the type of band that made you go on the internet and listen to there music. Bowskill had a couple of good tunes, ofcourse a memorible guitar player, but hogged the stage a little much which made his music a little overplayed. followoing him was Blue Rodeo and Theory of a Deadman. Personally I'm more of a Theory fan but Blue rodeo put on a good show, you could tell by there skill that they were a long and running band. going into the concert Theory was the band i wanted to see the most however my attitude changed at the end of the night. Going into the show I wasn't a big fan of jacob Hoggard, however seeing the show he can perform with his band hedley made me realize that he can put on a good show. At the end of the night after standing for hours upon end to the point that you can barely keep yourself on your feet the Main headline came on, Our Lady Peace. After seeing the show they put on I've comepletely become obsessed with them. The way Raine sings his music is like no other I've ever seen. He truly stole the show that night...

    Great concert/ crappy weather.

by CassieMay on 2009-07-16ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

The concert overall had a great line up. Hedley was amazing as usual.even though their gear was stolen the night before in Quebec, theory was nice enough to let them use there gear. however Jacob was drunk and pucked on the stage twice. Theory of a dead man was great, however because of the horrible weather i left just before our lady peace went on stage. I did however hear that they as well were amazing. It was a great experience.

    Fun times!

by Tantan on 2009-07-16ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

Fun times! Blue Rodeo and Theory of a Dead Man were awesome! I'm not a Hedley fan, so I listened to them from the Beer Tent! Our Lady Peace was good, but Raine forgot a few of the words to his older songs...a bit disappointed with that! Overall, a good time! : )

Hedley was great despite using another bands equip

by Tagteam on 2009-07-16ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

My wife and I went and had a great time. It rained a little, but it didn't take away from the overall fun. Great lineup of bands. Easy to find and we were able to get a room at a local motel, therefore making it really enjoyable. The only issue I would have is because I have a bad back, difficult for me to walk a long ways. They weren't prepared or had did anything to accommodate for disabilities. Once again had a great time

Big Music Fest Belleville an awesome experience.

    by Butterfly14 on 2009-07-16ZWICKS PARK - BELLEVILLE

Big Musice Fest in Belleville with headlining acts like Our Lady Peace, Theory of a Deadmand and Hedley was an unforgettable experience. The bands put on an amazing show and kept the wait times between bands to a min. Even though it rained the whole day everyone that attended this event were in good spirits.
