A beloved folk rock singer-songwriter who was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, Paul Simon has become one of the most respected songwriters in rock music. He grew up in Queens, New York and developed an interest in baseball and music at an early age. Along with childhood friend Art Garfunkel, they formed Simon & Garfunkel in 1964 and scored a deal with Columbia Records, releasing their debut Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. They later won ten Grammy Awards and put out four more studio albums including 1966’s Sounds of Silence and 1970’s Bridge Over Troubled Water before parting ways that year. Simon’s self-titled solo album came out in 1972, instilling Latin and reggae flavors into his soft rock in its singles "Mother and Child Reunion" and "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard". 1973’s pop-folk album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon incorporated gospel and R&B and its follow-up, 1975’s Still Crazy After All These Years, reached number one on the Billboard charts and had four Top 40 hits including "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" and "My Little Town" with vocals from Garfunkel. In 1986, Simon released his seventh studio album Graceland, expanding his musical palette by infusing African textures and collaborating with South African musicians including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, which went on to sell over 5 million copies in the U.S. and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. His Brazilian music-tinged The Rhythm of the Saints was released in 1990, achieving commercial and critical success, as well as introducing world music to a broader audience. His latest album, the acclaimed 2011’s So Beautiful or So What was touted as one of the year’s best. He has toured successfully through the years, as a solo artist as well as jaunts with both Bob Dylan and Sting, selling out concerts to ticket holders across the globe.

A classic performance by Paul Simon. He still wowed the crowd with his classic songs. A true legend of his time. Songs to remember forever
I came to the concert more out of nostalgia but left feeling this was one of the best concerts I have been to even if only from a sentimental point of view. Despite his 76 years, Simon is still able to carry a melody and hit the sweet vocal notes unlike Bob Dylan who frankly should quit singing more than a decade ago. First off, major props to the sound engineer who managed to make the audio intimate, distinct and best of all not ear numbingly loud. I have seldom heard a concert sound so good in a large arena. Simon played for 2.5 hours finishing off the last 20 minutes by himself on acoustic guitar. An incredible physical feat, he never appeared to weaken or ebb at any time, his movements were at times even spry. The 11 person band (I think) included a horn section and two percussionists. And part of the group even doubled as a chamber orchestra to wonderful effect, something you won't see anywhere else outside of ELO. Before the encores the concert came to a crescendo with "Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes" but the emotional high for me was "The Boxer" which Simon sang with beautiful wistfulness. The song was punctuated by the haunting soulful trumpet solo in the middle that sent shivers up my spine, exceeding its impact on the original recording which sounds recessed compared to a live rendition.
Wow! What a great show in Toronto. I'm always amazed by the sheer number of artists and instruments on stage at a Paul Simon show. It was beautiful. I love the different arrangements of familiar songs and that's what makes a Paul Simon concert so unique each time. Great send off for this legendary artist. Got a little teary a few times, but overall, loved the show.
Paul Simon was amazing live!!! The sound was perfect!! You could actually hear him sing. He wasn't drowned out by the music. Loved it!!! Wondered what took me so long to see him live!!!
While in his 70's Paul Simon keeps going on strong. A great show. So many hits plus funny anecdotes.
Great show. Still has a great voice. He will be missed!

Hands down an unforgettable evening. Paul Simon is still ever the performer he has been all these years. 2.5 hrs straight of hit after hit!
So happy and privileged to attend this concert! The show was A+++++++++ one to remember. He is a living legend, his music is unique. His performance was outstanding! Money well spent! Thank you Paul Simon!
Eclectic and heart-warming. Loved Paul Simon! His anecdotes are funny and his talent shines on.
Paul Simon was excellent! His band was superb. Song selection spanned his entire career.
Best concert ever! His voice was still very strong, his orchestra was amazing and his selection of songs was perfect.
My first Paul Simon concert, unfortunately probably My last. What an incredible, humble entertainer, played for 2 hours 15 minutes.
Loved this concert. Initially the acoustics were 'OK" with some muffling/ echoing but when he was mostly unplugged , it was awesome. Seemed very personal as he spoke to the crowd about both his music and issues that were important to him. Concert was quite long; many encores so lots of time to enjoy him.
Nice to listen to music that has something to say and says it well, rather than a lot of heavy noise. Certainly doing a selection from all eras was welcome. Surprised in these times that Bridge over Troubled Waters didn't make the Cut for performance.
Obviously, with a repertoire as huge as Paul Simon's, he couldn't play all his hits. I was disappointed not to hear Cecilia, Scarborough Fair, or Kodachrome, but when the entire crowd sang the chorus to The Boxer, I got chills down my spine. Unfortunately, there was a terrible echo that continued through the entire concert which I found very distracting. I'm surprised the engineers didn't pick it up on the sound check.
