About

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Thirty-plus years of live performances, twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, Pearl Jam continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Pearl Jam's new album, Dark Matter, is out April 19, 2024. Since the earliest days, Pearl Jam has used its platform to elevate people and causes that often go unnoticed or underserved. Much of the band’s philanthropic work is accomplished through its Vitalogy Foundation which to date has raised more than $50 million for organizations supporting issues such as abortion access, climate change and homelessness, and drawing attention to the fight against diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). In addition to the money Vitalogy donates, the band also donates signed instruments, posters and merchandise to organizations to use for their own fundraising purposes. Compounding the impact of Vitalogy Foundation, the band has supported Jeff Ament’s Montana Pool Service in building skate parks in Montana and South Dakota. Pearl Jam also lends its voice to notable causes like the West Memphis 3, voting rights and fair ticketing practices. Over the past three decades, the band has a long history of standing up for what it believes in and putting its resources behind those beliefs. Through its innovative Ten Club and fan engagement, community building, coveted poster designs, and longstanding activism and philanthropy, Pearl Jam continues to have a lasting impact on generations of music lovers.

Pearl Jam was worth the wait!

by leeanease on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I've been a Pearl Jam fan over the years, but for some reason, I was never inclined enough to see them live. This time around it was different, and NECESSARY to catch their show. It was well worth the wait. The music, the lights, the crowd, the stars... everything was picture perfect!

    Pearl Jam 21/08/09

    by NickName0000 on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Pearl Jam is fantastic. These guys bring it. Probably the best live show out there. Venue is so-so though. Line of sight obscured by poles. Hard to see stage unless front row centre.

Pearl jam again puts on a great show! Eddie and the gang rocked the house till the house lights came on, and then kept going! Woulda been cool to hear Crazy Mary but you can't have em all.

    What a show!

by DerekB on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The show was great. The opener couldnt make it to the show, so Eddie came out and played a few Neil Young classics to the crowds delight. And when Pearl Jam hit the stage the crowd was electric. Singing along for most of the 2 hour 15 minute show. This is one band to HAVE to see live!

    Pearl Jam was great

by Alanola on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Third time seeing them. First time Air Canada Centre. Second Time Molson Amp. and third time Molson Amp. By far the best show of the three. Was on the lawn, the sound was great. Eddies vocals were strong and clear. Had a pair of binoculars for the first time. Could see the little things that I would never notice. Eddie having a smoke during a solo, Mike McCreaddy sp. tweaking the tone during solos, admiring their sick eqipment and checking out there subtle stage antics. Id say they are going to be playing for quite some time after seeing how much gas they had in the tank.

    highlights for me

by Leester on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Eddie's mic stand broke and he fell flat on his butt .... just when you started to worry that he wasn't going to be able to pick up on the vocals on time, .... a voice rose from the floor... The roadies really earned their keep. When Eddie was over at the left of the stage and then went running back to centre stage, his mic cord got caught up in a monitor ... crisis averted! Mike McCready was making all kinds of crazy faces and kept showering the people down in front with guitar picks. In a normal job, you'd be thinking "that man needs some Ridilin", but it works out just fine when you're a rock star. They played plenty of their older stuff, which suited me just fine. Sounded great. What's the deal with the keyboard player?

    IT CAN'T GET BETTER

    by tenclub4ever on 2009-08-22Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Pearl Jam is the greatest band on earth. Vedder is the greatest man on earth. Their music is the greatest sound on earth. A religious experience everytime I see these guys is an understatement to say the least. See it. Live it. Love it. You will never regret it.
