  • So talented I cried

by big fan on 2019-07-02Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

They were all so beautiful and talented and touched my heart. I took my 7 year old and it was her first concert. I was more than impressed with how down to earth they all are and also seem like a fun group of people. They put so much effort into pleasing their audience. I would see them again and again if I could. I only wish they would've played "Say Something" but they do have a lot of songs to cover and they absolutely tried their best to get them all in. Go see this band if you can. Their talent is unbelievable. Oh and Rachel Platton was amazing, too. Awesome singer and also down to earth. She shared some personal stuff about her baby and her life as a mom and many of us moms in the audience could very well relate to her experience. And her singing is also amazing as well as her bubbly spirit. Great show.

  • Not your normal concert

    by T. K. on 2019-07-02Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

They gave a fantastic performance. Not your normal concert, very different and entertaining. It was great!

  • Amazing!!

by Lisa on 2019-07-02Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 10 year old niece and my sister-in-law to this concert for their birthdays and Pentatonix, Rachael Platten, and Citizen Queen did not disappoint. They were all amazing!! The singing was phenomenal, as I knew it would be, but so was the entertainment aspect of the show. All the acts were engaging and entertaining and the set backgrounds were very eye-catching. I've been to many concerts but Pentatonix was definitely the best! If they come back I would definitely see them again.

  • Amazing group. Sub par venue.

by Sal on 2019-07-02Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

There is no other acapella group like Pentatonix, period. They have a way of sounding so full and rich, and the harmonies are just out of this world. Their stage was pretty cool and loved that the floor of the stage was also a giant screen as it made for some really cool visuals. They played all my favs and their interactions with the audience were really genuine, fun and engaging. What I didn't like was that it was in the Saddledome. It's just not made for music and the acoustics in there suck. I would have preferred seeing these guys at something like the Jubilee were their voices would have carried through beautifully.

  • Awesome!!!

by Anita on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Pentatonix was amazing!!! They are incredibly talented and we loved the show! Wish it could have been longer😁 I would say best concert we ever attended!! Rachel was amazing too!! Loved her energy and her voice is beautiful!!! We especially loved when she sang Jolene with Pentatonix!

  • I loved the show.

by Me on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

But the sound guy should be fired ! The base of every song both the preshow and the Pentatonix was way way too loud and overpowered the main singers . The best part was when they sang with 1 mic as a group. That was lovely. The special affects were awesome! The strob lights were definitely not good for migraines. Have followed this group from their beginning but the base was too overpowering !

  • Mostly Great show

by Keltic on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed their slower songs because then I could hear the individual sounds better which are amazing I loved Sounds of Silence, Hallaluya and the earlier songs, on the whole the music for me was to loud to appreciate what they can do and there was way to much base sound. I actually loved the song where they put down the mic and just sang. I love the group just the show needs some fine tuning

  • Good times

by Wally on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

. Rachel Platten opening was phenomenal. Great stage presence. Pentatonix was Fantastic. Vocals and beatbox was exceptional and the imagery with music lighting lazar etc was so cool. The crowd was really into it. And PTX responded. A great concert.

  • Fantastic concert. Rachel Platten was a huge part it.

by Cal on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Loved first hearing Rachel Platten who sounded very sincere and down to earth - loved her songs, personal sharing and interaction with the audience. PTX did not dissapoint, mixing it up with some interesting stage sertings, solos and one on ones with the audience. I'd sit more towards the middle rather than at the sides next time due to the way they presented the stage.

  • Amazing show

    by A. G. on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

What an incredible show! Loved Rachel platten and pentatonix!! Would go see them again in a heartbeat.

  • Loved it

    by A. R. on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I have waited for this concert all year. I came with someone who came for the experience and he loved the show! Will definitely buy tickets the next time they swing through!

  • Absolutely awesome!

by Raven on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert i have been to in a long time, i loved every part it it!

  • Wrong setting

by Dymond on 2019-07-01Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

I love Pentatonix' music, but their show and music is made for theaters, not a stadium. Despite having a "premium priced" seat in the stands to the right of the stage, you couldn't see any of their effects, nor did the performers even look in that direction. Usually, all I saw was the backs of their heads as they tended to turn inward to hear each other. All of the attention of the show is straight ahead (as in a theater). Similarly, the precision of their music and harmonies was lost in the cavern of the stadium. I think their show would have been fantastic if I could have heard it or seen it.

  • Good but holy cow it was loud!

by Bobbo on 2019-06-20Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

Who would have guessed that an a cappella concert featuring a world-class group known for their amazing vocal harmonies would be as ear-splittingly loud as a Who concert? The volume was so excessive that the intricate harmonies were often lost in a wall of noise. I like loud and have been to many concerts in my life by top performers. This was one of the loudest concerts I've ever attended. The best part of the evening was during the encore when they dropped their mics and gathered around a single mic to sing what they called "old-school a cappella". They sang "I'll Run to You" It was awesome and you could have heard a pin drop. I wouldn't want a whole show of that, but much more of it would have been good. Just drop the volume by about a third and the show would have been perfect. Also we didn't need two opening acts. Citizen Queen was OK but I could have used lots more of Rachel Platten instead of them. Rachel was fantastic and got maybe 35 min. And why was there a 20-25 minute wait between acts? Plus the show started 20 min late. It seems like it all could have been better planned and run tighter.

  • Pentatonix

by MississaugaMom on 2018-09-24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal!!! Bohemian Rhapsody was absolutely magnificent. Such incredible talent.

  • by Wilsonm on 2018-09-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Great voice but catered to a very young pre-teen pop audiance. Would have liked to hear a mix of some older songs also.

  • Unexpectedly disappointed

by AdmirerofHarmonies on 2018-09-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Aside from the fact that the sound quality was poor (getting distorted with high volume), just the general level of decibels took away from the normally virtuosic singing and harmonies, which is what Pentatonix does best. I love loud music, but it should never overpower vocals. They never need to compete with other bands, they are the best in what they do but not as good as others in what others do. After the concert I came home and listened with awe to their music online.

  • Just Spectacular

by MuskokaCasual on 2018-09-12Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

High energy delivery, with varied musical selection and tastefully coordinated costumes. Performance was simply fascinating throughout. Both balanced and enthralling. Engaged the audience with songs that were exceptional and made for a memorable experience.

  • PTX, you were amazing!

Another amazing night at Budweiser Stage! The talent and amazing stage presence of Pentatonix is unbelievable! Wonderful show!
