    Very enjoyable.

by Lolla432 on 2018-05-22Casino Rama Resort - Rama

Petula came out looking lovely in black from head to toe with an orange lacy camisole underneath. She has quite the sense of humour,...for her 85 years. She had an amazing band from Quebec and one fellow from New York,..the pianist who was also the conductor. She sang the familiar songs like "Don't Sleep in the Subway Darling" and "Downtown",...which was super. All in all,...she did a super job and never got winded or even took a sip of water the entire time,..a surprisingly great concert,... Our seats were on the floor,...which was just perfect. The band did not blast the venue with volume as some do,..but this was perfect. Her concert lasted 1.5 hours and we are very glad we went to see her.

    Pretty good show

by susnram on 2018-05-22Casino Rama Resort - Rama

She started off with her notes being a little off but warmed up by her 3rd song. She spent too much time plugging her new English cd and talking about her past movies and play. Her hits were put into a medley which was really disappointing because that's what everyone wants to hear.

    Time for Pet to retire

by Anonymous on 2017-12-27Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Bears Den - Niagara Falls

I was very disappointed in the performance. At 1 hour and 10 minutes it was much too short, she sang too many songs from her new CD, and many of her old songs she only sang portions of. Also unfortunately for her, that once glorious sounding voice has abandoned her.

    Petula was wonderful

by Syl25 on 2017-12-21Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Bears Den - Niagara Falls

What a wonderful performance by an amazing octogenarian . I loved her energy and hearing the stories behind her songs. She sang all my old favourites and introduced a few new songs. I was thrilled to hear that she is still so active. Just listening to her took me back 50 years?

    Amazing evening with Pet

by vanbearman on 2011-02-07River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Petula Clark put on an amazing performance last Saturday night. With a mixture of her old songs with a few new ones she penned herself. We really liked the Memphis and Sunset Boulevard. Petula Clark's voice is still good. Very stong, particularly for her age. Holding long notes with ease. Ms Clark shared snippets of her career with us and wove the songs into her lovely stories of her life and career in showbusiness. Funny, down to earth. I would recommend seeing this and would see her again if she came to Vancouver or Richmond.

    How was it?

by Imissedit on 2011-02-07River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

It was the first time I'd been to the River Rock. I didn't manage to get there until just before 8:00 I spent the next half hour going round and round that parkade with dozens of other drivers looking for a parking space. Some of the drivers were clearly frustrated and were not giving way to other drivers. After half an hour I too was frustrated. I left the parkade looking for street parking, but couldn't find any. I drove home to Burnaby.I doubt I'll get another chance to see Petula Clarke, A complete waste of time and money. Form now in I'll be going to more accessible venues.

    I can't hear you.

by wwww on 2009-09-14Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Although the music was good it was far too loud in relation to the singing voice of Petula Clark. We had great seats and still we could not hear Petula's voice very well only making out what song it was by the music. Dissappointing!

    Petula is ageless

by pilot on 2009-09-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Very energetic and entertaining show! We had not realized how versatile she is, ranging from old favourites to Broadway. Plus the fact that in addition to performing she is also writing new music and lyrics that are quite entertaining. We also enjoyed her easy manner and dialogue between songs. All in all 90 minutes of good value.

    Petula was unhearable!

by Whomever on 2009-09-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Petula's singing was wonderful, what we could hear of it. Whomever was responsible for the loudness of the music should be fired. Her orchestra totally drowned her voice out. The only time we could actually hear her sing was when she was on the piano herself and the rest of the instruments were silent. We were very disappointed with the concert and I was almost tempted to stand up at the beginning of the concert and shout to turn the volume of the orchestra down.

    Petula Clark Captivates!

by tarryrob on 2009-09-06Club Regent Casino - Winnipeg

Petula Clark showed a capacity Winnipeg audience at the Club Regent Casino what made her the most successful female solo recording artist of all time in the U.K. The multi-talented British superstar bedazzled fans with an engaging performance that included material culled from a decades spanning recording and acting career. Throughout the male dominated 60’s British Invasion, few female British singers gained stardom. Of the select handful that did manage chart success - Petula Clark reigned supreme. A prolific and talented actress, she added Hollywood and Broadway success to her chart topping international recording career, and went on to sell more than 70 million records worldwide. The gifted chanteuse brought her formidable talents to bear during her Wednesday (09/02) Club Regent performance. Along with her enviable back catalogue of hits (many self-penned) such as Downtown, I Know a Place, and My Love, the British superstar also drew on material from her successful Hollywood and Broadway career, including material from Finian’s Rainbow and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Sunset Boulevard. Solidly backed by her adept 9 piece backing group, the Ron Paley Band, the bi-lingual Ms. Clark showed off her cultural diversity, performing La Vie En Rose by iconic French songbird Edith Piaf as well as a bi-lingual version of her own international smash hit This Is My Song much to the delight of francophones in the audience. The charismatic singer has a wry sense of humour and shared many entertaining stories about the creation of some of her best loved hits as well as anecdotes about legendary figures with whom she shared friendships over the years such as Fred Astaire, Charlie Chaplin, Sophia Loren and the Beatles. During a solo outing at the piano, tongue planted firmly in cheek, she prologued an intriguing ballad rendition of McCartney-Lennon's I Wanna Hold Your Hand with the explanation that her long-time friend Sir Paul needed the performance royalties to help replenish the millions he’d lost after his recent divorce. Of course, the fans primarily came to hear the hits, and Petula Clark did not disappoint. She performed a formidable cross section from her hit filled career, including Don’t Sleep in the Subway, I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love, and Colour My World, often adding subtle variations or perform the songs in medleys to add fresh twists to old standards. A consummate professional, Petula Clark’s passion for her art shone through every aspect of the performance, and her energy was infectious. She kept the capacity audience enthralled from start to finish with a well paced show, finally winding the night home with the one-two punch of her 1964 international No 1 hit Downtown and the 1966 classic I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love. In closing the night, the singer expressed her difficulty in saying good-bye to her audiences, and wrapped the night with an original song that she composed to do the job for her. Judging from the ovation, Ms. Clark’s sentiment was heartily reciprocated by the Winnipeg fans.

    Petula Clark

by Teody on 2009-09-06Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Petuka Clark is just amazing and just like a wine she gets better as years go by. The environment and overall ambiance at the Red Robinson Show Theatre is also fantastic. The introduction of Mr. Robinson is a welcome treat and likewise the crack jok and savy story telling style of Petula is majestic. The usherettes and washroom assistants are polite individuals and also deserve to be commended. The securtiy personnel also did their job well when they asked some viewers who tried to take video of the show to put away their pocket cameras. The experience is really worthwhile and definitely I will come back for the coming shows which will be featuring some more fantastic entertainer/artist.

    LoVED Petula!!

by RogerDodger on 2009-09-06Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I really liked the venue (Red Robinson Theatre), it felt more personal and intimate and it was nicely appointed with a beautifully decorated interior. In addition, I not only enjoyed her music but I also enjoyed her stories about her career and experiences with other celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Sophia Loren and Edith Piaf.

    Petula Clark

by Ginge on 2009-09-05Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Overall it was an entertaining show. The sound was a little disappointing. When Petula sang from the microphone at the front of the stage, the orchestra overpowered her voice, and at times you could not hear her very clearly. We were sitting quite close to the stage - 4 rows from the front, so we thought the sound would have been much better.
