About

POST MALONE IN CONCERT:

Rising rapper and R&B singer Post Malone hit pay dirt in 2015 with his hugely popular breakout single "White Iverson," a Top 3 jam on the Hot Rap Songs chart that has racked up more than 200 million views on YouTube. Since then he's made good on the promise of that auspicious debut, generating major buzz with his 2016 mixtape August 26th and hitting the road for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Presents: Post Malone The Hollywood Dreams Tour. In concert Malone's excitement and passion are palpable, and his rapid-fire flow, bass-heavy beats, and infectious dancing always get fans moving their feet. He slayed in early 2016 as an opening act on Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour, and followed up with killer headlining sets of his own in support of his much-anticipated debut album Stoney.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Austin Richard Post, aka Post Malone, was born in New York but spent his formative years in Dallas, TX. He taught himself to play guitar and produce music in high school, and at age 16 he became a local legend with his first independent mixtape release. He enrolled in a local community college after graduation, but dropped out after a few months to move to Los Angeles and pursue his music career. Once there he linked up with production team FKi Music, a fruitful collaboration that yielded several songs including "White Iverson." That track went viral in early 2015, racking up millions of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube and leading to a record deal with Republic Records. Malone's rise continued in 2016 with the release of his mixtape August 26th, his national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and a collaboration single with Justin Bieber titled "Déjà Vu." His debut full-length Stoney generated big buzz in late 2016, and he continues to impress with swaggering, hit-filled sets on tour.

You can tell Post Malone is a very young artist when it comes to preforming but he puts on a Great show. Some songs sounded better live Compared to the audio. He played the guitar live which is cool. Wish he played more songs but overall puts on a good show.

    Crowd control

by Postypostyposty on 2018-05-02Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This dude has the crowd at the palm of his hands and doesn't even have to do a thing. During his show he raps. He sings in auto tune but he also plays acoustic guitar and sings without auto tune ...he's fantastic. His show was unlike anything I've ever been to. So dope.

    Post Malone was littyyyyy!!

by carguilaa on 2018-05-01Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The opening was alright because I didn’t know who they were and I thought it was SOB x RBE? Anyway, Post Malone was so fun and he was a really nice guy, saying thank you after each song even though his album was still new so we didn’t know all the songs yet. One problem was that the people sitting beside me kept going back and forth covering my view every time they passed by and spilling beer everywhere! WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU NEED TO LEAVE DURING A CONCERT 3 TIMES?! What else could you do?

Almost as Good as Leon Dechino

by ClarissaMarieG on 2018-04-30Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Highlights: - played a fair mix of songs from Stoney and beerbongs & bentleys (which dropped the night before) - Post thanked the crowd after every SINGLE song he performed - he has a great stage presence, and was able to hype up the crowd without cliche pop star gags - speaking of cliche gags, he smashed a guitar... but it was still awesome to watch - GRRRAAAAH!!! (Takin’ Shots) - chugged a beer and burped into his mic... legend... Only downside to our concert night was that 21 Savage wasn’t playing... the openers were fun to listen to (specifically SAINT JHN) but the stadium was half empty until Post was playing, so the atmosphere is incomparable.

I’ve been to several concerts but have never been to one where everyone is smoking either pot or cigarettes. Too much pot.

    It was my first concert..

by Channerban on 2018-04-30Rogers Arena - Vancouver

For first concert I got VIP I did expect, as much as I was told what I'd be getting for VIP merchandise, to have more or at least his face on some things things was my biggest dream. I also checked if there's meet and greets which I heard there wasn't but I heard while standing beside security guards there was people meeting him so I was really upset about that judging by the fact that I paid roughly around $300 just for the ticket. However post Malone is someone who I enjoy lots and I did really enjoy hearing his music from beerbongs and Bentleys at the concert and then I went home and I listen to the whole album from beginning to end probably about 9 times. So I did really enjoy it.

    Not good

by Czar on 2018-04-30Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Stage is on one side. No TVs to see him up close. 21 savage was not there and was replaced by awful performers. Many songs were off the album released that day and while good, did not know them well enough for it to be relatable. Post Malones live performance was fine otherwise I'd give this no stars. Left early and overheard many people expressing the same things I've said here.
