This concert was unreal! We loved it! Adam is a very talented artist on his own. No one is Freddie but Adam does not have to be. The music was incredible and the flashbacks of Freddie especially during Love of My Life were amazing (in fact I balled like a baby). This was a long awaited concert and it did not disapoint one bit. I woudl recommend this conert to all.
We really enjoyed the concert. Adam Lambert did a great job, great to see the tribute to Freddie Mercury.
I expected Adam Lambert to be great and he was! But forgot how truly brilliant Queen really is!! The whole show was one of the best ever.
Ok lets say straight up that Adam isn't Freddie, but pretty early on in the concert that ceased to matter, he is a great performer in his own right, and he will grow into the role during the tour, a great choice to front the band. Brian May, what can I say, just outstanding, sings and plays with as much talent and enthusiasm as ever. Roger, equally as talented a musician. I always regretted not having seen Queen back in the day, but I am so glad I took the opportunity to go and see them now, simply an amazing show, lots of well known songs to enjoy, some with a new twist, some with some beyond the grave contribution from Freddie. Some people thought that it was creepy to have Freddie join in, I LOVED it, If you are thinking this is somehow second best, or are not sure if it is worth the price, my answer is yes, YES and YES AGAIN.
Winnipeg was the second show for this tour. I was quite looking forward to it, but I can definitely say that I was completely blown away. Everything from the set to the set list was top notch. Adam Lambert is an excellent addition to original members May and Taylor, but certainly not a replacement for Freddie Mercury. They did have a nice tribute on screen to Freddie. He brings his own talent and flamboyance and the crowd LOVED it. Seems even the "old" Queen fans I talked to enjoyed the experience. There were a few technical difficulties (the screen didn't work completely right at the end), but that didn't distract from the experience.
An awesome concert. If you are thinking of not going because of Adam Lambert. DO NOT let that stop you! He did an absolutely phenomenal job this evening. Everyone reading this.....GO BUY A TICKET TO THE CLOSEST SHOW NEAR YOU! :) It's totally worth it!!!
