    Mediocre

by Ladyxray on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

I expected more from him personally. It was basically rewatching all his videos from Instagram & Facebook with him singing along. I like him but was disappointed in the event.

    His Heart Wasn't In It

by Gillian H on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Don't get me wrong. I am a HUGE fan of Randy Rainbow. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him over the past 18 Covid months. But I have to say I was disappointed in the show on Saturday night. I saw him in 2018 and LOVED LOVED LOVED the show. This time around, it really felt like he was just going through the motions. It was a half-assed effort for sure. Earlier on Saturday, he posted on Instagram that he was really really tired and had to get up early again to come to Toronto for the show. That attitude was evident during the show. For someone who travelled 500 kms to see him (I live in Montreal), it was super disappointing to see that Randy didn't feel the need to give his one Canadian city 100%. I'll think twice about getting tickets to see him again.

Incredible, intimate show with a few thousand

    by LiveTheatreFan1980 on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

If Randy is anything - he's an entertainer. A clever, quippy, hilarious entertainer. My partner and I had an amazing evening. He's not one to laugh out loud, more smile and nod - but Randy had him laughing more than I've seen him in a long time. Loved it! Couldn't recommend more. (also - Randy has a book out, check it out) :-D

    Pink glasses tour

    by Kick44 on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

I was so looking forward to Randy Rainbow’s pink glasses tour. And it turned out, for me, to be a disappointment. Love his sketches on the Internet, big fan. However on stage, to get a repeat of all this , without the amazing enthusiasm he shows otherwise, was disappointing. Was it because it was the last tour of the year, was it fatigue, was it going on auto pilot.... Randy has a great voice, but paying for clips I can see anytime on the Internet? But it was great to be an evening out in this pandemic

    Playing (With) Himself

by Culture Vulture on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Toronto was treated to the last leg of Randy's current tour and I was not disappointed! The humour and brilliance he displays on YouTube were in abundance in the live show. There he was, on the hallowed stage of the former O'Keefe Centre, whose first production was a preview of Camelot in 1960, starring Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, and Robert Goulet. Randy was at ease, confident, wittily attired, and in great voice. Accompanied by wonderful musicians, we were able to thrill to "The Trolley Song" and "Mr. Sandman" in person, among many other numbers. As a nod to the venue, it would have been fun if he had sung "If Ever I Would Leave You", from Camelot, to a picture of Mel Gibson on the screen! My only complaint is that there was no merchandise for sale in the lobby. I was hoping to buy a CD.

    Couldn’t go

by Joe on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

With the go train interruptions I couldn’t go ): Would of taken 2hrs each way to go and would of been late. Couldn’t even resell or give tickets to anyone either. Sigh.

Excellent show. Kept a fast pace

by Jayne on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

My only complaint was a 20 minute late start, although that may not be on the performer.

by Scotiagirl on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Randy Rainbow is a treasure. He is an incredibly talented performer and a true showman. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard or enjoyed a show so much. His voice is absolutely amazing and his lyrics are fantastic. We loved everything about his performance!

    Randy was food

    by D on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

The venue got us in quickly which was great. The show was funny. It is mostly a video type of comedy so it translates only so much to live stand up but he is funny

    Randy rainbow

by KlBea on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Meridian centre did a great job getting people into the venue, very well organized. I really enjoyed Randy Rainbow. He was funny and entertaining. It was hard to hear on occasions.

    Robot with videos

by Jeff on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

I can’t believe how bad this was. Randy seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Most of the “show” was watching Randy watch videos we’ve already seen. I wish I could have left the theatre as quick as Randy left the stage.

Randy Rainbow is brilliant, entertaining, hilarious, clever. Political and pop culture satire at its finest! A musical parody genius!

Loved the show, loved the venue.

by Heather on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Randy was fabulous, of course. I was also very impressed by how accessible the venue was and how all of the staff were clearly trained on how to accommodate disabled patrons.

    Left his heart in NY

by Thiberr on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

Was disappointed, he was going through the scripted show and not really wanting to be in Toronto. Would not go back to see him.

    Bad sound

by DM on 2021-12-07Meridian Hall - Toronto

We really enjoyed the show but the overall looming problem is the horrible sound coming from the vocal mic of Randy. There was distorted through the whole show. Granted, it did get a little better but it was seriously really bad. Not sure what the problem was but for $70 I would like to hear some good sound at least.
