Rock superstar Rick Springfield has been wooing audiences with his polished voice and leading-man looks ever since his rise to fame in the early '70s. More than four decades later, he looks and sounds as good as ever, treating fans to an unforgettable evening of solo performance and storytelling on his Stripped Down tour. Taking time between each song to relay the touching and humorous stories that inspired them, Springfield has proven that his talents as an entertainer extend well beyond his musical abilities. Whether fans catch him solo or performing with a full band, they can count on plenty of showmanship and charisma as he works his way through nostalgic hits like "Jesse's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Australian-born Rick Springfield began playing the guitar at age 13, cutting his teeth in several bands in England after his army officer father relocated the family there in 1958. After a stint fronting the British band Zoot in the late '60s, Springfield launched his solo career in 1971 with debut single "Speak to the Sky," a Top 10 hit in his native Australia. After releasing several moderately successful albums in the '70s, Springfield hit his stride in 1981 with Working Class Dog, a massive success propelled by the No. 1 hit "Jesse's Girl." 1982's My Success Hasn't Spoiled Yet fared similarly, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawning several more hit singles. A veteran showman with four decades of touring under his belt, Springfield returns to the road once again for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

    I loved this concert. Great seats, the show was great. The special guests were great too. The hooters were really fun and upbeat.

    Rick Springfield continues to dazzle and amaze at 74, performing like he's still 34. He has seemingly got younger while the rest of us have got older. Great blend of his 17 top 40 hits, plus a gem of a title track from his new album "Automatic". Rick's and the band's high energy were far too hot for a Casino crowd. OLG stage was packed, Rick is still great enough to play/fill an arena or outdoor venue like Bud Stage. His performance, as well as those from openers Paul Young & The Hooters, will have me screaming "I Want My 80's"until I'm well past my 80's.

    Even though one act didn't show, we enjoyed Paul Young's short set, and then the  Hooters who put on a show with a bunch of really talented guys. After a short break Rick Springfield and his band put on an event. It was a spectacle unto itself.  Hes such a great showman. He interacted really well with the audience that was filled with a lot of adoring fans.  The ladies still love him and my wife and I walked away after having  a  fantastic night out.  We came in knowing maybe 3 of his songs. We'd go back again. Oh and the new OLG concert venue was really well done

    This was an awesome performance. Rick is always amazing. He puts on a super show. My only negative comment is that there were 2 ladies 2 rows ahead of me. I was in the 7th row and they were in the 5th. About the 2nd song of the show, they stood up to cheer him on (which was great), but then they stood up for the entire show, right in front of me, blocking my view. I had to look around them the whole show and when I would try to lean out and around they would move to the music and block me again. I know we all get excited and love Rick and want to dance to his music. I just wish they would have been courteous and sat down for a couple of songs. I didn't want to stand up so I could see as I knew I would block the people behind me then. It would have been different if it was for the last few songs, but not the whole show. BUT RICK WAS THE BEST!

    We have seen Rick Springfield a few years back but this concert was totally different. It was heartfelt, lively and so full of positive energy. The one a few years back was so different....it actually felt very dark. Left a bad taste. We all go through things and I think it was just that BUT this recent concert was AMAZING!!!

    Rick Springfield’s voice is excellent and as good as on Jesse’s Girl. His voice has held up awesomely! His show is a ton of fun and the songs from his new album are really good! A great time and I’m looking forward to his next show! Please perform next time in Toronto! I’m splurging on even better tickets next time!

    Rick is always amazing in concert! The OLG venue was not equally as amazing. Our seats were were about 15 ft passed the end of the stage all the way to the right and we couldn’t see most of the show. Not Ricks fault as he always plays to both sides. Really poor design on the venues part

    Rick Springfield Tim Siggy Jorge George Paul Young and The Hooters . Loved the energy they brought to the OLG Fallsview Stage. So many wonderful memories. We are not just fans to Rick Springfield Tim Siggy Jorge George we are Rick’s brothers and Sisters. The best 80’s tour Ever ❤️🥂
