We came, we saw, we loved it! Rik can still sing like he is 25...and boy can he and the boys play. The set list was mostly late 70's and early 80's which didn't disappoint anyone.
I have followed Rik's music since the late 1970's to now, and have always been amazed at the great music he has brought us over the years. He is like a fine wine which gets better with age. If Clapton was called "god" then Rik would be "jesus christ". Dave Dunlop is an amazing guitarist also and my hat goes off to him for being so tight with my all time favorite, the great Rik Emmett. My only complaint is that our radio station don't play enough of his music and I believe that people will only realize how much of a great Canadian musician we had once he's gone.
Great Artists, fantastic music, awesome talent, uninhibited banter, super production, quality venue and the best show I have witnessed to date from this great Duo. Sound, light, and ambiance are well worth the pittance for a show of this quality. Rik & Dave delivered a great night, that should also be lauded along with the production of Kim Zimmer & Rick Wharton, as well as the well-presented and well-mannered staff of L'Astral.
They were once again incredible! The guitar playing was unbeleivable and the stories and bantering on stage was very entertaining. I'd go see them again!
Absolutely worth every penny! Amazing performance by 3 great guitar players.
Still one of the best musical experiences for the money. Triple the threat, and triple the power. Emmet's voice continues to amaze and the belend of mediteranean, spanish, and rock guitar is beyond belief.
This event was EXCELLENT from a music and entertainment point of views. These guys should tour more often! Thank you.
