Women's final - - roar of the rings

by topcatbc on 2009-12-13Rexall Place - Edmonton

thoroughly enjoyed it....only negative was it was obvious that many people purchased tickets and did not attend! If you didn't plan on attending you should not have purchased the tickets. Our national team deserves your support, men or women! Go Canada Go

    Semi-final was lots of fun!

by jarm on 2009-12-13Rexall Place - Edmonton

I'm pleased to say our seats were much better than I thought they would be. The T.V time-outs were lots of fun and the M.C did a great job. My only complaint would be that the outside doors weren't open until noon for the 1:00 draw,. We would have liked a bit more time to check out the souvenier shop and get some lunch before the game started. All said it was a great day.

And YES .. we will be there for the FINAL to cheer on Martin's team! Canada Rocks !! Martin Rules !!

Event is great but tickets in the gold section are a waste. Upper level is much better because you never have a camera in your face. During the ladies semi and tie breakers today the cameras always blocked the far house. Of course you could watch on the jumbotron but of course I could do the same at home for free. Is this event for viewers or for TV.? Daily passes should be available.

by Stitch on 2009-12-11Rexall Place - Edmonton

It was a great event. Seating was excellent and the view of all four sheets of ice was great. We were especially interested in the game on sheet B and the view was perfect.

    Jones and Scott

These two teams were not up to their full potential. Cheryl Bernard was the draw to watch.

    Exciting

by Darterheck on 2009-12-10Rexall Place - Edmonton

One misses getting involved with the crowd watching it on Television. To be there watching it live is great and exciting. The only difficult thing to overcome is that live you are watching 4 games at once were on television you are only watching one with highlights of the other 3. But once you adapt to that it is an adrenalin rush to be there live. And one cannot forget the patch. That is an additional aspect of excitement for being there live.

    What Time?

by Pandy on 2009-12-09Rexall Place - Edmonton

Great event except that we couldn't tell from the website what time the curling started. To be sure we showed up at 11:00 am and had to endure the oepning ceremonies and the draw didn't start until 1:00 pm. A bit of a waste if time.

    Curling - the women

by CurlingFanExtrordinaire on 2009-12-09Rexall Place - Edmonton

Teh event was great, although the arena was too cold - needed a blanket in some parts of the arena to keep from freezing to death. The women were doing a great job entertaining the fans - some better than others, but that is the natire of curling. A great way to get the feel of what competitive culring is like.

    Roar of the Rings Rocks!

by MissyLissy on 2009-12-07Rexall Place - Edmonton

I commend the volunteers and workers on their long hours of organizing and work to make this event possible. The opening ceremonies were excellent. It was very nice to recogonize previous athletes. The week will be exciting for curling fans to watch the elite play the elite for the title to represent Canada! They are all good, best of luck to all. The inside of Rexall Place is very cold ( if you are going to watch, make sure you wear very warm clothing, and wrap in some blankets)
