I had a wonderful time and everyone was very respectful except some of the people in the VIP section who were making fun and passing rude comments to the people walking by as well as making fun of them. I guess it just goes to show you that money can’t buy you class. I am a mother and a grandmother and I wonder if they would appreciate someone making rude comments to their mother. I think not !
Best weekend ever! Got to relive the 80’s. Will go again next year. Great band lineup. Food vendors were great. Wish there was more merchandise as it sold out so fast

I thought Rock the Kootenays was so much fun! I hope it’s an annual event! Great music , loves the hours of it! Can’t wait until next year!
Awesome bands, good experience, loved the fast turnaround time between artists, great food trucks, lots of washrooms (porta's), enjoyed the misting cooling station, the indoor Rec Plex cooling, and you had lots of bartenders to keep the drink lines moving! Recommendations for the operators: 1) Create virtual tickets for the people who buy 3 day passes. We waited in line for 2 hours to pickup 3 day tickets. I also bought one day passes for my parents and downloaded directly from my phone! Should be the same for all 3. Less hassle for yourselves too. 2) Bring in water stations that are hooked up to a tap. Not Culligan 5 gallon jugs. You had water pumping through the spray fountains to cool people off all day (which was great!), but ran out of water filtered free drinking water all 3 days!!
Fantastic line up- great chance to relive some old memories 👌 What was missing? Hard copy tickets, more merchandise esp! for Tom Cochrane (none?) and a grass venue (suggestion? Moir Park for next time?)... Cranbrook is waaay to hot in August for a tarmac venue - and fortunately was not a few days later.... Looking gorward to next year's line up? Toronto? Loverboy? Colin James? Blue Rodeo? Toque? Doug and the Slugs...possibilities are endless!
This was a very excellent well organized event. I really hope this will become an annual event. Bring on 2024!
Personally had a fabulous time. A few tweaks needed for next one but the venue will figure that out. The line-up was spectacular, fantastic bands!
Awesome - great venue - so well organized given the heat - no lineups for anything. Only thing I would recommend would be to have the stage alittle higher so us shorties can see better!!
$14 for a hotdog….really! Beer was $9 and only had choice of 3 types….that’s when they had some chilled! Better venue required….sitting on cement when it’s 30 degrees is not fun! On a positive note….most bands were good and a few were great!
Good line up of performers. Could use more food trucks and cooling stations. Hope they do it again.
The event was very well done for a first year effort. Excellent Canadian Classic Rock Bands...well behaved concert goers...plenty of bathroom facilities. I'd recommend a few more garbage and recycling receptacles and for next year...shade tents set up to cover the furthest back 10 rows from the stage...if visitors want sun they have the choice and set up in back wouldn't obstruct anyone's view. This was a terrific event for Cranbrook and hopefully it happens every summer. The organizers and volunteers/workers did a terrific job. Large events like this are not easily pulled off. For an Outdoor Concert Venue...the Sound Engineering was excellent...Front of House/Audio Engineers did a great job for these bands. If the event happens to grow in size in the future, it will obviously help the East Kootenays economically each summer 👍👍 ROCK THE KOOTENAYS EVERY SUMMER from here forward !
Almost totally enjoyed the Canadian Rock Music. Even the heat couldn’t slow it down. The only disappointment was April Wine and I really wished Saturdays lineup was the headliners Prizm and Tom Cochran were Awesome.!! Way to go Cranbrook! Keep it coming!
The outdoor stage was awesome. Well organized. The bands all put on a fantastic show
We went for the Saturday night lineup. It was incredible fun! The bands really delivered and sounded great! Very well put together event. Lots of food choices, lots of washrooms, misters on a very hot day, free water fill ups, etc. etc.! Definitely going again next year!
The show was amazing, the acts performed well, a little disappointed with April Wines technical difficulties, I thought some great songs were missed. Bass solo and drum solos could have been skipped to play more song favorites. In general it was awesome, good food trucks, free water and the misters were a saviour.
We were there to see Kim because we always missed him at all of the other concerts we've been to and he did not disappoint!
