Roger's voice didn't miss a beat, better now than ever!! Having the orchestra made it an unforgetable evening, enlightening!!
He was FANTASTIC! Absolutely wonderful! Incredible! So intimate! What an exceptional performer and human being!
It's been a long time since I've gone to a concert and have to say this was one of my most memorable. I thought that Roger was a class act and the band members, orchestra and choir were all amazing! Fantastic show! Worth the 3 hour drive there and back home to Hamilton. Please come closer to Hamilton next time LOL!
This is the third time my husband has seen Roger Hodgson and my second, and as usual, he put on a fantastic show! He played for two hours and that still seemed to short. I love the way he interacts with the audience, telling stories about how he came up with and wrote songs. It's wonderful when you can tell the artist really enjoys performing and making sure his audience is having a great time. I would go see him again in a second! He still sounds amazing!
Once again Rodger and his band did not disappoint!!!! I have seen him at Rama 5 times and look forward to his return next year!!! The orchestra and choir were fantastic!!! Really enjoyed a couple of new songs that he had added to his collection of well written material. Great memories!!!! Rodger is so down to earth and really enjoys his many fans!!! Arron MacDonald also outstanding!!! It really is a magical evening!!!!! Thanks Rodger and friends!!!!
I went to see Roger Hodgson both nights at CasinoRama. What an amazing show both nights. He had his band, an orchestra & even a choir. That really brought his music to a whole new level and a different perspective. What a great opportunity to showcase his music. From "Take The Long Way Home" to the encores of "It's Raining Again", he certainly didn't disappoint. You can tell he was having just as good a time onstage as we did watching the performance. CasinoRama is a great venue for these shows. It must be for Roger to come back for 11 consecutive years. Other highlights were "Death and a Zoo" which gave me the shivers, "Even In The Quietest Moments", "A Soapbox Opera", "School" and of course "Give A Little Bit". He didn't play the exact same set list both nights. Friday night he played "C'est Le Bon"...one of my favourites :) On Saturday he played "Sister Moonshine". So I'm really glad I caught both shows. What favourites he didn't play Friday, he played Saturday. At least for me anyway. I never got to see Roger when he was playing with Supertramp. Then when I had the chance to see Supertramp, I didn't want to go because he wasn't going to be there, plus they had someone else singing his songs which I just didn't want to see...or hear. So I'm really happy that I finally got to see him in concert . I've been to a lot of concerts and his ranks up there as being one of the best shows I've ever seen. I certainly will try to see him again next year. If you haven't seen him yet, I recommend you go see him too. Roger Rocks!!
Excellent concert once again. Looking forward to his next performance, already.
one of the best concerts I have been to, the sound of the orchestra was amazing. Rogers voice was still really great, what talent.
Roger moves from keyboard, piano and to acoustic guitar with ease, also we love the way he explains about his songs and moments while writing,he is lovely.
This was probably our 6th or 7th time attending his concert and never a disappointment. Aaron McDonald should have been around when Supertramp was playing! What a talent he has. An excellent selection of songs including a humble collection of his own releases. Excellent interaction with the crowd. It is obvious that he continues to play because he loves to entertain. Looking forward to next year!
I wasn't sure what to expect...Hodgson with an orchestra...it was amazing. Supertramp was the band I would have loved to see back in the seventies, well mission accomplished. He can still sing, he connects with the audience the musicians who perform with him are the best...can't wait to see him again!
Third time for me at casino rama. What an amazing show as usual. Roger Hodgson never disappoints and to have a full orchestra as well defies words. If not for the 2 hour drive to rama I would go see Roger every year.
Being a long time fan and a first time seeing Mr. Hodgson,i went with high expectations.WOW.It was more than i could have hoped for.The Supertramp songs were better than perfect. The orchestra added so much.Sound was great. Every nuance of the studio was there. The band was perfect.I sang all night.I knew every song.If your a Supertramp fan,see his shows. You won't regret it.
An excellent show that i would see again given the chance
What can you say? The guy is cool and personable and super talented guy. The show was awesome...I didn't know what to expect. I kinda wanted to hear Supertramp really...and thought this might be a let down. But surprisingly he was great....and as much as a Supertramp concert would have been awesome...Roger knocked it out of the park all by himself...and with some great musicians backing him too.
As always, an uplifting and perfectly executed performance. Lots of chatting with the audience and what seemed liked genuine regard for fans.
Absolutely loved it. Will come back to see Roger next year.
This was our forth time seeing Roger and he was better than ever. Will go see him again.
Other than the fact that Supertramp isn't together and the Rick Davies contribution is missing, to see Roger perform live (and with orchestra and choir) was an amazing evening that I won't forget. He performed flawlessly.
