About

Roger Hodgson is universally acclaimed as one of the most gifted composers and lyricists of our time.  Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and helped define a generation of progressive rock.  He is the singer/songwriter of such globally successful and enduring anthems as "The Logical Song," "Breakfast in America," "Give a Little Bit," "Take the Long Way Home," "Dreamer," "It's Raining Again," "School," "Fool's Overture," and many more timeless songs that helped his former band sell well over 60 million albums to date.

For many fans, Roger Hodgson was the spiritual force behind the band for the 14 years prior to his departure in 1983.  While he and the other co-founder, Rick Davies, shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately.

Hodgson continues to tour extensively worldwide performing not only his classics, but also material from his solo albums.  For additional information, visit

Hodgson with the symphony is amazing!

    by srt4stk on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

Roger Hodgson with the symphony orchestra is Supertramp!! If you closed your eyes it was Supertramp right from the classic albums. Fools Overture was an unexpected treat.... WOW!! Only complaint is that he only played for 1 hour, 45 mins.

Just like being at a Supertramp concert

    by rog66 on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

The show was very good. He sounds just like the album. He played lots of Supertramp hits. I would see him again if he comes next year. Some of the songs I forgot the title too them, but once he started the songs I remembered it. I also liked how he talked to the audiance, about the songs he wrote and about his life. Casino Rama is a great place to see show, the place is not really big to you can sit anywhere and have good seats.

    Enriched sound

    by Sammy29 on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

First time concert at Rama. Roger & company's sound was amazing. It was rich, full & a pleasure to listen too. The choir sounded great along with the voice of Roger. His voice has gotten better with age. It was all about the music. There were no other distractions, just the sound. Audence was mostly 35 yrs plus & well behaved crowd. Even his unrecorded songs were as good as the Supertramp favorites. Roger is Supertramp, no doult about it.

    Roger is amazing!

    by Janey2 on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

Roger is quite the entertainer. We have seen him by himself as with the orchestra a few times. It just brings back memories of our younger Supertramp days! He speaks to the audience and really love the Canadians. We would, no doubt, go and see him again. Roger rocks!

    Roger Hodgson was excellent !!!

    by Steamer19640 on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

This was out third time seeing Roger. Twice at Rama and once at the Warehouse in Toronto a long time ago. For those who love Supertramp you will love Roger Hodgson. Sit back close your eyes and listen to the music. The full orchestra and choir provide live music equal to the original recordings. Roger provides an up close and interactive look into his life and music as he regularly talks about where his music came from and what it has meant to him and his fans. Whatever the cost go see Roger Hodgson, the entertainment is worth every penney.

had the opportunity to catch roger hodgson for the fourth year at casino rama. as always the gig was excellent. roger shows up to play, and display a genuine stage persona, working with the crowd. and it was appreciated. the use of the symphony orchestra and elora singers was an added key to a great evening, along with the rama crew on lights and sound. well done! looking forward to next year eh!

ROGER HODGSON (FORMERLY OF SUPERTRAMP) WITH SYMPHO

by BiggerGuy on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

Unbelievable!!!! The man still has an AMAZING voice, can tickle the ivories and hit the strings, WOW !! Makes me regret not seeing Supertramp back in the day. Wish he could have played longer. If only him and Rick Davies would get back together again it would be pure magic. We sat in Section G and I'm a large dude and the comfort of the seats sucked, but everything else was way better than I expected. Hope I can see him again.

    Hodgson's Solo Act Transcends Nostalgia

    by Dannys2 on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

The indisputable voice of the soul of his genre, Roger Hodgson proved once again last night that he is still relevant and still in touch with his roots and his audience. My son’s reveling in the glory right along with me (and thousands more) proved that Roger’s solo act transcends nostalgia. Roger doesn’t simply entertain; he ministers to a part of you that thirsts for substance. It was a thrill to take the long way home with him last night, especially once it was recognized that the destination was the old well from which he has faithfully drawn inspiration for decades now.

by Supertramp on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

Roger really has this great vocal which brought all of us there The Symphony Orchestra was just the right choice for him AWESOME CONCERN I would hope for another concern in Toronto because Orillia is way too far from my location Some guy who obviously had no respect for other kept moving the cheap seat we are assign to Like the seat portion was not bolt on the floor kind poor setting for such great artist

Rodger just keeps getting better and better!

by Hydroid on 2009-11-08Casino Rama - Orillia

What can you say about Rodger. Every year in November he comes to Rama, and every year he leaves about 10,000 fans in awe of his incredible talent. This is our third year in a row seeing him, and if there was a pre-sale last night for next year, I would have stood in line and bought for then as well! Please don't ever miss an opportunity to see this man perform. You can tell that he loves playing these songs; even today.
