About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

    If Pigs Could Fly

by LadyP on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This was an awesome night. Very professional staging. Considering the size of the crowd it still felt very intimate and that you had a seat at the bar, hanging out with your mates, putting the world to rights. Yes he's political but I'm not afraid to stand up and be counted. I am glad that he made land acknowledgement, gave credit to his road crew and to the venue and their staff.

    Lucky to see a legend

by Smilodon on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Sophisticated, complex blend of lights, screens, music politics and balloon animals. I am so fortunate to have seen the legend, Roger Waters, while he is still performing. I encourage everyone to see this untoppable rock show.

    Very Thought Provoking

by The Riss Band on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I've seen every iteration of rogers show since the wall in 2010...This one was his most personal and it makes you think...The band was sounding great. It was good to see John Carin in the mix. For me it was great to hear the "Powers That Be" from Radio K.A.O.S.

    UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC as always !

    by Hulagirl54 on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Roger's voice has stood the test of time and is still extremely clear and strong. His passion flows freely while he is onstage. Not to leave out the "back up" singers ! Beautiful women with beautiful voices ! One complaint....... The stage setup really SUCKED ! ! Roger spent 3/4's of the performance on the opposite side from where we were sitting. We felt like our seats were behind the stage. This wouldn't be so bad if that is what we paid for BUT we forked out a LOT of money for what we thought would be GREAT seats. Very dissapointed concerning this.

Way past his prime. Now irrelevant trying to relevant

by Jack on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I don't care what views you have, and I don't care if you want to sing about those views, but to cram them endlessly down everyone's throat on the screens non stop throughout the concert is nauseating. Never seen anything like it. When you are 79 years old and worth almost half a billion dollars I guess you need to do something to try to keep yourself viewed as oppressed and relevant. Sad to see. Kudos to to band though. They were great.

    Toooo political

    by L. S. on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I saw Roger Waters in 2017 and was expecting a good show. To my disappointment the show was 50% of messaging of social injustices in the world. His reminiscing of times gone by sounded like the incoherent ramblings of a distracted mind and his rendition of “money” is easily surpassed by any of the Pink Floyd tribute bands I have seen. I thought it was a very poor show.

    Great show!

by Sybo on 2022-09-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Seeing a 79 year old man on stage, still relevant, was amazing! I just wished the two ''women background singers'' had more room to display their vocal talents. ''The great gig in the sky'' song with the two of them would have made my evening even better. But overall I had a great evening. The beer is too expensive and the t-shirts as well. I hope all the profits from the merch goes to the people who made the stuff.

An extended audio/visual masterpiece down the memory lane!

by AliGator on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Roger Waters, his band & his crew gave us 100%. The audience felt the love, & were rewarded for years of being a fan by the amount of work the entire team put into this EPIC WONDER of a concert. Beside the magnificent visuals, I really appreciated Roger taking the time to tell us the background of their songs, how he felt & where he was mentally, physically at the inception of the songs he played. I also appreciate how much he cares about the world we are going to leave behind for our children & their future. Hands down the best Concert I have seen of all the old bands coming to play as their farewell tour. His stamina to give so many song at his age was amazing & impressive. The atmosphere he created, made the entire Roger's Arena felt like a united team. We all felt as one of all Colors, all backgrounds all genders, all ... we all felt we are on a same team, the unity he creates showed us we all can be & live as one. It was amazing to be part of that crowd.

    Roger Waters

    by C. C. on 2022-09-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

I was thrilled to be in the same place as Roger Waters. I enjoyed hearing the music live. I didn't really care for all the political background stuff. And I didn't really care for the slow songs and ballads. I was impressed by Roger's performance. As for our seats there was scaffolding etc in our way so we couldn't see all of the screens. I liked the 4 sided stage and that he played to each section of audience. All in all we enjoyed the concert.

    Stinker of a show!

    by M. P. on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Stage setup was terrible. Sound was terrible at times. Roger Waters voice stunk! He is well past his sell-buy date. I'll never see another concert by him again. His egotistical rambling on and on was too trying, along with his hypocritical politics. A complete waste of time and money for many people....

    The Best Ever

by No name on 2022-09-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Just when you think Roger Waters can't get even better, he does and did! It's been a very long 5 years since seeing him last. Every minute of the wait was worth it. So good hearing Roger tell his stories of his last experience in Vancouver in 2017. Also, I've never seen him smile and laugh so much during his show. What a pleasure! Vancouver loves you Roger and we hope to see you soon.
