BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Atlanta-born Roscoe Dash, a.k.a. Jeffery Johnson Jr., was introduced to the world of hip hop at an early age by his older brother. When Dash was in high school the two formed the group Black Out Boiz, and they quickly built a reputation with their popular underground tracks and notorious live performances. Despite the project's success, Dash left soon after its formation to pursue his solo career. After writing and recording several mixtapes in his basement, he hit the big time in 2010 with his debut single "All the Way Turnt Up". The track peaked at No. 8 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, generating attention from label execs and ultimately landing him a deal with Interscope Records.  He released his debut EP J.U.I.C.E. on the label in late 2011, once again blowing up the charts and earning praise from critics for finely crafted jams like "Good Good Night" and "Into the Morning". Dash has been featured on hit tracks by Big Sean, Fat Joe, and DJ Drama, and he won Best Club Banger at the 2011 BET Awards for "No Hands", his chart-topping collaboration with Waka Flocka Flame.
