Rose Cousins has a phenomenal talent and ability to capture her audience. If I could, I would attend every show on this tour!
Rose put on a show that was a great combination of beautiful music (what a voice), fun dialogue, honesty (vulnerability and all of that), and good variety in terms of types of music and special guests. I didn’t know Ross’s music before but I’m a fan now.
For someone who is famous for her sad songs, tearing at even the most stubborn of hearts, she had us laughing. Not only is her voice and songwriting breathtaking, but she has the classic humor that often seems to accompany those who can tap into the darkest of human emotions. Personable and making the arden seem like a living room in a good way. Opening band Port Cities was the cherry before the sundae. harmonies and talent...they will go far.
Rose Cousins brings her down home friendliness and good humour with her top shelf writing chops and her superbly matched band. These seasoned performers created a warm and cozy atmosphere on a chilly winter night. Warm up act Erin Costello was a great new discovery, with her strong vocals and thoughtful lyrics. Combined, these two Maritime women bring moving stories in song with incredible technical abilities. A+++
